| Daisy's most popular air rifle! The 880 shoots both BBs and pellets, and it does so with amazing power. This multi-pump pneumatic sends ammo roaring downrange! BBs go 750 fps (Never shoot BBs at hard objects!), and pellets go 715 fps. You can adjust power and velocity by the number of pumps you put into the rifle (up to 10 pumps). The synthetic molded woodgrain Monte Carlo stock has a raised right-hand cheekpiece and checkering on the grip and forearm. For more accuracy, mount a scope, red dot or laser on the 11mm dovetails on the receiver (made of engineering resin). It's a BB repeater (holds 50 BBs) and a single-shot pellet shooter. Take this rifle plinking, target shooting or if you just want to have fun! It's lightweight, so you can shoot for hours. Things I would have changed:the bolt and trigger aren't very smooth, but nothing to get angry over. What others should know:Great for beginners, and easy to adjust the sights.
Things I would have changed:Looks/Feels like a toy. Pellets are not accurate in it. Would not reccommend for shots over 15m or so. What others should know:Great value for money. Its a lot of fun, and rivals some low level breakbarrel guns' accuracy. Its very durable and reliable. This is not the gun i use for hunting, this is the one i use for soda cans and hair spray. We've chrono'd the 880. After 10 pumps it doesn't get any faster. You're just using the pop-off valve to build your arms. It's a good, accurate air rifle. Make sure the pellet skirts aren't bent. Reasonable maintenance.
Also, these are MORE accurate than budget break-barrels, as there is no moving mass while the pellet's still in the gun.
Pellets ARE accurate in it. You just have to use decent pellets (i.e. not Daisy or Walmart Crosmans) and NOT pump it 20 times. Over 10 gets you nothing.
Things I would have changed:I would have the receiver to be metal instead of plastic, Daisy changed this from their older model. This gun is a bit loud if you're not expecting it. Pellets can jam occasionally but if you have a cleaning kit made for .177 rifles it only takes 5 seconds to push the rod through the front of the barrel to dislodge the pellet. What others should know:This gun is a good value. It is on par with the 901 for FPS when it comes to ammo, and it's cheaper. I didn't but the one with the scope as I wanted to purchase my own scope. Overall this is my first BB rifle and I absolutely love it. I think you will too don't miss out! Comments
Just want to be sure no one is misled and thinks this is a firearm. If you live in Canada, this requires a license because of its power, but it's still an airgun.
