Mossy Oak Break-Up camouflage stock! A fine airgun for new shooters! Daisy's 840 Grizzly is a single-stroke pneumatic, which means it requires just one pump stroke to power the gun. The airgun is sized for shooters 10 and older (adult supervision required), and the easy pumping effort is geared toward younger folks. The 840 shoots either steel BBs (Never shoot BBs at metal objects!) or .177 pellets. With a capacity of 350 BBs, this airgun is truly an all-day shooter. With BBs (350 fps), it's a repeater. With pellets (330 fps), it's a single-shot.

It comes with a fiber optic front sight and an adjustable open rear sight. The receiver is made of tough engineering resin, which helps keep the gun lightweight. The MOBU camo synthetic stock has checkering to ensure a good, steady grip. The dovetail grooves in the receiver make it easy to install a scope or red dot sight.

The 840 Grizzly is perfect for plinking, shooting paper targets and training new shooters.

You'll be shooting so much that you had better load up on BBs and pellets. Click the AMMO link to order some. Click the ACCESSORIES link to find fun targets, safety glasses and other shooting gear.

This is a single-stroke pneumatic, which means you pump the lever only ONE time. A second pump stroke will remove the air the first stroke put in!

Things I liked:Surprisingly accurate at close range, easy to pump for younger kids. BBs feed very smoothly. Fun to shoot. Great for plinking.
Things I would have changed:Use wad cutter pellets only, preferably 7-8 gr. The port for loading pellets (single shot) is a little too short for longer pellets, so getting them in and correctly aligned is tedious. Stick with shorter pellets.
What others should know:In its price range its a good value and a great starter gun, but also good for more experienced shooters.

Things I liked:The silky smooth E-Z single pump! Very nice camo job. A much better fit for grown ups than the Crosman 760 for example, so a gun everyone can enjoy and shoot comfortly. A very underrated airgun for laid back plinking. I like the fact that it's smooth-bore as opposed to being rifled as I can load er up with 200 BBs if I so choose. I'm not at all a fan of shooting BBs in pellet/BB guns that have rifled barrels.
Things I would have changed:Would have been nice to squeeze a little more FPS out it.
What others should know:Shoots Daisy BBs and Crosman's cheap pointed pellets very well. So well that I have not tried much else in it. If you can live with the low power output, you will be very happy.

    • Elizabeth from USA asked:

I want this gun for indoor and back yard plinking. I prefer a scope to open sights. What is the best scope to use in my situation?

      • Erika from USA:

If you will be shooting at the same distance, a fixed 4 power scope will work fine for you.

    • Arpad from USA asked:

Other than the paint job, are there mechanical differences between the Grizzly 840 B & C?
