It has power. The blowback adds to the fun shooting this gun. You have the option to dress this gun up or remove the railing and use open sight.

I would like a working hammer and the option to fire single action. The hand grip is a little small for my hand

This gun has great ergonomics. It has very good accuracy. It was easy to mount a red dot. Unlike a lot of replica CO2 guns, the controls on this one are all functional. The blow back was crisp, and I got a lot of shots per cylinder. The Japanese quality is superb.

There's a fair amount of plastic, but it hits an attractive price point. The plastic magazine seems a little fragile, but has held up so far.

I store mine uncocked, and I don't leave CO2 in my guns during long-term storage which may permanent indent the piercing seal.

Being an owner of the Daisy powerline 5501, i have to get my hands on this one too. Little bit more power with this one due to barrel extension. The rail system is great, i put on a red/green dot ncstar metal shotdot sight on this and was impressed on accuracy. the blowback is a great kick and it even moved my dot sight on the rail!. sturdy build, I love the two tone desert tan, Guys realize this...the tan part as well as the rail system is high dense polymer plastic. it is solid and high quality. id actually prefer this over my 5501 due to the fact that the slide on the 5501 has more play in which i mean it wobbles a little. that is normal for airguns due to no gun poweder use like real pistols. i prefer this pistol any day and also you can remove the rail system any time.

make the magzines more solid plastic if anything and make the c02 tightening nob easier to puncture.

add this to your collection. id recommend the 5501, its solid metal constuction, looks and power are great, but if you can only get 1 than this is the better of the two. Also, being an airgun owner, i prefer some polymer externals due to the fact that metal scratches more. yes it makes it look more realistic but i prefer it to be scratchless, just me. BUY IT

Blow back, and bolt stays open on last shot. This is cool and saves co2 since you know when magazine is empty. Tactical look, barrel is about 2 inches longer than standard 5501 model. Consistent velocity, I get full power for 3 x 15 magazines... 4th mag ok for plinking.

More velocity (my chrono says 403 avg, 70 degrees). I would like to see a bit more fps since barrel is extended, but understand blow back feature uses co2. More metal- I've read reviews of 5501 and they claim all metal. Brown/tan area on this gun is plastic. Magazine is flimsy, but fairly inexpensive.
