| Power to spare! The Gamo Hunter Sport sends pellets flying at 1,200 fps. This rifle is a spring-piston breakbarrel gun and comes with a 3-9x40mm scope and rings. The fluted bull barrel will make this rifle the envy of your friends. The well-balanced hardwood Monte Carlo stock has a raised cheekpiece on both sides, making this rifle truly ambidextrous. A ventilated rubber buttpad helps keep the rifle snugly in your shoulder while softening the recoil. The cocking effort is relatively light and may be suitable for some younger shooters (with adult supervision). You can customize the trigger let-off to your personal tastes, because the two-stage trigger is adjustable. When you cock the rifle, an anti-beartrap mechanism automatically engages to protect your fingers. If you use Gamo Raptor pellets, you will get maximum velocity from your rifle. Things I would have changed:After i few months with this gun the scope just all of the sudden quit working i would HIGHLY suggest buying a new scope emidiately. another thing ive been having trouble with is the plastic piece just above the grip behind the action it keeps sliding back so i had to glue it into place. What others should know:this gun is a great buy for the money but i wouldnt suggest it for a serious, hardcore airgunner.
Things I would have changed:I might just make the barrel shroud an all metal barrel. What others should know:Great airgun for plinking, target competion, or hunting, very nice well rounded air rifle.
Things I would have changed:I think Gamo should leave out the scope and lower the price a little. Plastic trigger and plastic safety have replaced the metal trigger and safety lever on previous models. I am very unhappy about this. Upgrading the trigger is no longer an option. What others should know:You can throw the included scope in the trash! It is garbage. Do your self a favor and always use high performing lead pellets. Forget about the 1000 fps PBA.
