Teaching kids the right way to handle guns and how to hold, aim and follow-through with a long gun is essential for developing a life-long love of the shooting sports. Gamo recognizes that and makes the Little Cat for your young shooters to enjoy while learning.

Generally speaking, it's a good idea to start new shooters with open sights. You can always add a scope down the road after they've learned the basics of shooting.

The relatively lightweight trigger-pull (3.30 lbs.) and will add more enjoyment to the shooting experience. In fact, many other youth guns have extremely heavy triggers that ruin accuracy and are difficult for young shooters to pull.

Use this gun for shooting bullseye targets (use good-quality wadcutters for this), spinners, tin cans and other things that create a fun environment for learning.

Things I liked:The Little Cat is a great little air rifle for the money. The fit and finish is overall very good. Have not had a chance to put but a couple hundred pellets through it, but so far so good as far as function. Quiet and easy to cock. Trigger pull is really decent for a rifle priced in this range.

Things I liked:I've been really happy with this - solid build, and great light cocking effort for a youth. Feels great and the sights are set up nicely. I had spent a long time looking for just the right rifle for my daughter, so I was glad to find this one.
Things I would have changed:Not a thing.
What others should know:Only a mild spring kick - just fine for a kid.

Things I liked:Light, easy to cock, good trigger, wood stock-nice checkering, open sights, accuracy.
Things I would have changed:Nothing. It is absolutely perfect for the type shooter it is designed for.
What others should know:This little rifle reminds me of the older model Savage Cub .22 rimfire. It appears to be the exact dimensions. The LOP is 12". I'm an adult and it is very fun to shoot for me. This one is perfect for a child or smaller person. It is very light and a breeze to cock. It took me 3 shots to adjust the open sights for 10 meters. It is surprisingly accurate. I tried all cheap pellets and they all grouped well. I used Tech Force HP, Beeman Coated HP, Crosman, Pointed, Crosman Premier HP, and Crosman Wadcutters. I got the best group with the Wadcutters. That was my last round of shooting 7 shot groups, so I may have just gotten more used to the gun. I just got the gun from PA today. This is not a hunting type gun, but a great one for target shooting. I also have two Stoeger X5's one for scope shooting and one for open sight shooting. Those are great guns too in the same class. The Little Cat is much lighter, shorter, and less LOP than the X5. The open sights work very well. When you cock the rifle the design of the breach slightly protrudes making it very easy to load pellets. I don't have that design on any other break barrels that I own. I highly recommend this gun especially for young shooters. I'm over 6' and it is fun for me too.
