Things I liked:I sold my BeemanRS2 combo From Walmart that sighted in in 20 min.s, and killed over 100 tree rats. Countless rabbits, dove, A few racoons camping. I'm also not allowed to use a firearm where I hunt.So with out a gun to hunt I ordered this one. The shipping Was fast, but I also live six hours away from PA. Figured I could sight this in Yesterday morning and be hunting by afternoon WRONG!!! The Feel and look of this air gun is great. No Childs toy here!!!! With around 60lbs. cocking effort. The power is amazing. At 32 yds It would put a JSB 25.40 gr threw two 1/8" pc of plastic. Leaving wholes the size of a dime. (It is very cold out)The pellet Pellet would then bury flush like it does in the breach. Into seasoned ash behind it. Love The power.
Things I would have changed:Hated the weight befor I got it. When I placed my thumb threw the whole. To get a good feel for the gun. I noticed a bad flaw in the top of the thumb whole in the cast.(CHEAP PLASTIC)I accpted the weight with the feel of the grip with both hand. I've put the better part of a 350ct tin of Exact King threw it. Had To shim the back of the scope, beacuse the elevation was 10" blow zero at the max of the elevation on the scope. One of the reasons I bout this gun is, The see threw scope mounts. Always have game to close to scope. But the rifle sights do not work as well. If you start with the rifle sights as low as they possably go and start elevatingaand shooting. As you elevate there is a point where once you get so high. The shots start to drop back down. The best I could get was 3" below zero. Not to only that but I called PA yesterday. They said this was due to barel droop.Ok that answers everything. I guess the Barel Droop Is why the (Synthetic thumbhole stock with raised right-hand cheekpiece) Cracked all the way around the top and is not connected to the gun. This gun has no scratches has not been dropped. The stock Broke from its own recoil. After about 10 shots I also noticed something with the spring piston is wrong with this gun. The restitance changed from a smooth strong reassuring cock to. A sloppy noisey unsure if I had made the right choice of rifle. I spent a whole day shooting, and sighting this thing in. The worst shooting conditions on and off all day yesterday
What others should know:I am by no means a profesional hunter. But I can say this. I've hunted my whole life. I have a well pack of 7 good foot beagles. I've been known to shoot a squirrel in mid air from tree to tree!!!(once or twice) Had Many walmart guns. I'm 27yrs old. This is by far the most disappointed. I've ever been with any kind of weapon. I have a homemade blow gun out of 1/2 conduit That is more acurate, and will bring more game home than this. At this point the gun wont even make a good club cause its a break barrel. All jokes aside now, I've got to call and see how big of a deal they make out of me throwing away all of there high dollar card board and styrofoam. And losing the scope stop and one screw for it. Courtesy to my two yr old. All most for got. Who were they making these guns for. Im 5'7 had to remove the scope stop and plastic shim that came on the stock. So not only have I wasted a whole days worth of hunting, tin of lead, the time in shooting it a field . Now I'll be dealing with a return. Restocking fee re packing and shipping. Something I should be keeping and enjoying for yrs and giving to my son. I'm not usualy one to complain. I had to let some one know about this!!!!

Things I liked:Power, accuracy. I'm a hunter addicted to air rifles and this gun affords plenty of power at a great price. I believe you will have a hard time finding any break barrel with more fpe and would have to spend much more on a pcp to get better hitting power. I really wanted the camo stock and am very pleased with the mossy oak. This gun dispatches squirrels in the most humane way possible and is more than capable of taking larger game like coons and possum. I got mine in .25 caliber for this reason. At first I had a hard time grouping shots but am used to my nitro piston .22. This has considerably more recoil and I found really driving the butt back into my shoulder provided much better grouping, awesome grouping to be precise. The feel of the thumb hole is great, providing me with the ability to get that firm shoulder hold without too firm a grip to negatively affect my trigger pull. The power is really second to none for a springer. The scope mounts being high enough to still use the sights even with the scope mounted was a well thought out decision that I appreciate. Additional butt plate spacers are a great plus also.
Things I would have changed:The rifle is heavy, strap swivels would be a great addition. Cocking takes some effort, hope it gets easier with more use. Not excessive for myself but may be a concern for others, definetly not for younger shooters. The scope is certainly not the best but what I would expect to keep price down. The blueing on the barrel could be better, mine has some noticable light spots on it, nothing that affects the guns performance. Whenever the spring needs replacing I'll get the nitro piston, might want to consider the upgrade when purchasing, great power for a springer, though.
What others should know:Heard, read great things about Hatsan air rifles and was not dissappointed. Happy hunting!
