Things I liked:All I can say is WOW!! I received my Hatsan 135 .25 (January 2015) and this is one of the most accurate & most powerful air rifles I have ever own. I have used a few different pellets at 10 yards just to test shoot with them shooting cans and targets to see what was the most accurate pellet for this rifle. It is very accurate with JSB EXACT KING 25,39 gr AND BARACUDA 31,02 gr. I shot through 5 soup cans with the Baracuda's at 10 yards using the TruGlo Fiber Optic Sight which is really awesome. My other high power air rifles do not come close to this Hatsan 135 .25 not by a long shot. Now far as the recoil I have been hearing all about & watching in these videos for some reason I really didn't feel anything at all, to be honest. The cocking effort reminds me of the Hatsan Sniper 125 .22 but I can only assume that once I break it in the barrow will become more smooth to pull down.
Things I would have changed:Nothing
What others should know:Cocking effort, you must have some physical strength. But it will smooth out once your rifle is broken in.
Things I liked:Nice stock, well balanced, not too twangy for a springer. Great power, good accuracy. NO DOVETAIL!
Things I would have changed:Can't think of anything......maybe a safety that's not automatic.
What others should know:Honestly, use the coupon code and this is a $200 gun. It's great for the money! You won't be disappointed! I had a webley patriot....I sold it to get this instead. I like this better than the Patriot and it's $150 less. The barrel could be a tad longer on this, would prob make it a little easier to cock. It's a workout. I wouldn't recommend if you are a wuss or a child.....other than that....great gun for the money!
Things I liked:Out of the box, the first thing you notice is the beautiful walnut stock. It cocks and shoots smoothly with a significant amount of recoil for a spring gun, but I bought it for a bench shooter so the recoil isn't a big issue for me. JSB 25.39 exact kings proved to have the best groupings at about 3/4" at 25yds. The scope mount made onto the rifle accepts 11mm and weaver/picatinny scope rings without the need for an adapter, a good plus! With a leapers 10X50 (etched glass reticle) mounted on it, It zero'd in within about 10 shots with plenty of vertical adjustment left in the scope. I would not recommend using a scope other than one with the etched glass reticle on this rifle as the recoil it produces would most likely destroy the scope's innards in less than 100 shots.
Things I would have changed:The trigger is very heavy and became more and more inconsistent. You'd get 2 or 3 shots with what felt like about 4lbs pull, then you might get a couple that felt more like 8 or 9lbs. This affects accuracy. I've heard that the piston seals can be brittle on these as well. This may or may not have been part of the problems mine developed.
What others should know:In fairness, this is a beautiful and powerful rifle for the money. But unfortunately, I started having problems with mine after a few hundred shots. The folks at Pyramid customer svc were excellent about it though, and immediately took care of getting the return and exchange taken care of painlessly. I had really wanted a Weirauch HW90, but the price on this was just too good not to try one first. I exchanged it for the HW90 but wouldn't be opposed to trying another Hatsan 135 in the future. With an aftermarket piston seal and a trigger job, this could be a really great rifle, and the price is very hard to beat for what you get.
