From the quiet report to the dependable gas piston, the Ruger Yukon will end up being a classic hunting rifle. The SilencAIR 5-chamber integral suppressor makes this rifle urban-friendly. As if that's not enough, it also comes with the ReAxis gas-piston. Because there's no metal mainspring, the Yukon will be easier to maintain, have no familiar twang found in most other springers and be dependable in cold weather.

Things I liked:

old school wood stock , great balanced gun , quality all the way, dollar for dollar a great gun to advance too , iron sights are fine , if you cant hit with iron sights then get glasses

Things I would have changed:

the scope is a entrance level , have fun and upgrade when the time comes

What others should know:

this is a quality gun , expect to be impressed by its quality, nothing like real wood

Things I liked:

Powerful, nice stock, very good gun after breaking in period. Reaxis piston.

Things I would have changed:

Turn the safety around. It gets in the way when firing.

What others should know:

It's a good gun, but for the price you can get a gun of the same quality for cheaper. Be patient through the breaking in period. It's worth the wait.

Things I liked:

Nice fiber optic sights. The extreme ease of cocking. It is very quiet. *Beautiful* stock, functional checkering, ergonomic shape. Comes with decent starter scope and optics rail! (No, it's not a $200 scope, but doesn't contribute excessively to the overall cost of the bundle.) Also, it is NOT 9lbs, with or without scope. It seems lighter than that. What you get at this price point is astounding! Give this rifle a spin, and you'll fall in love! I had worried & wondered whether "Made in China" in the case of the Yukon would be blatantly inferior to "Made in Germany" (Diana) or "Made in Turkey" (Hatsan). To be frank? I've had NO indication of this so far!

Things I would have changed:

The "inside trigger guard" safety design is a bit funky. I might prefer a thicker butt pad...not that there is any appreciable recoil! I would not have wasted $30 getting Pyramyd to test fire and configure scope. The scope was not even close to adjusted at any range, and I suspect it was simply screwed on. IMO, Pyramyd's attention to detail & customer service are...let's just say "inconsistent." I especially don't appreciate that they sometimes fail to respond to simple questions I've emailed them. One minor mechanical quibble is that the Yukon's barrel swings freely once broken for loading. Takes some getting used to. All airgun rifles should be provisioned to accommodate slings. Period.

What others should know:

I have 3 pellet rifles. All are .22 caliber gas pistons. (I would not own a springer.) The Hatsan 95 Vortex, the new Diana N-TEC 350, and this Ruger Yukon. They are all very nice rifles. Of these 3, the Yukon is my favorite, and the best bang for my buck, IMO. My Hatsan is a sweet, accurate gun, but the first Vortex I bought was literally falling apart with pins sliding out of the barrel, and had to be replaced. Not a particularly pretty stock, and should probably ship with some optics rail instead of tall rings. Nice fiber optic fixed sights! The N-TEC is also very nice...rather pricey, but I knew that going in. It does NOT WEIGH 6.7lbs. More like 8.5lbs. Fiber optic sights would have been appreciated, and easier on my 60yo eyes. It seems heavier than either the Hatsan (without scope) or Yukon (with scope mounted). The feel & accuracy of the Yukon is sublime! Smooth cocking. Hard hitting. If I had to retain only one of my rifles, my Yukon would be my keeper

  • Jim from USA asked:

Where can I purchase a new gas piston for my Ruger Yukon?

    • Mark from USA answered:

The Yukon was made by Umarex. Contact them for possible parts.

  • Jim from USA asked:

I left my Ruger Yukon sit for a year or so and now it seems that the piston is stuck in the cocked position, but with no pressure behind it. It's like I must have left it cocked and the pressure leaked out. The trigger pulls and nothing moves and the cocking mechanism has no resistance since the piston seems to be all the way back. Suggestions?

    • Mark from USA answered:

The piston has failed. It has to be replaced.

  • Rodney from USA asked:

    Where is this made in?

    • Rudedawg from USA answered:
