This 6-shooter is an authentic replica of the famous Schofield No. 3 designed by Army Ordnance officer, Major George W. Schofield of the 10th Cavalry.
The U.S. Army ordered thousands of the Schofield No. 3, and many were used by the 4th Cavalry in the Geronimo campaign and by the Buffalo Soldiers of the 9th and 10th Cavalry. The revolver was popular among horse soldiers because of its top-break, rapid ejection system.
The Nickel version of this legendary gun features the same top-break design and will bring you hours of plinking fun.

Well Made, Shoots Good, Nickel Plating very thin-don't attempt to polish, Mine had a lite scuff, thought I would polish it out-big mistake. I used a high grade auto polish.

Just so everyone knows, this does not work with the Dan Wesson cartridges in case you have them, or for that matter, the cartridges that go to things like the Umarex legends cowboy lever action rifle. The Dan Wesson cartridges fit but are about a 16th to an8 of an inch too long and the other ones are too fat near the front to fully insert into the cylinder.
Can darts be used with this?
One reviewer said that the hammer on this pellet gun is made of plastic. Is that correct? I find it hard to believe.
Just got mine in. Hammer and every other part except for the grips appears to be metal.

It arrived and I was amazed to find it was lubed up already. The weight is good and reminds me of the real one which is nice as I don’t like a pellet gun feeling too lightweight. I like that it opens apart in the center and looks like the actual Schofield. It’s single shot so no fanning like the real one but it’s still enjoyable to shoot. I like that I have the option to use bigger pellets by changing out the inside of the barrel with the accessories they provide on the Barra site. People can look at YouTube vids to see how to do that themselves so that they do not destroy their pellet gun. I looked online comparing other Airguns and this one was the one that stood out to me. When you put the co2 cartridge remember to put some silicone oil on the tip of it before you tighten it.
