Things I liked: The power and stock were really nice. Really good accurate gun. My favorite most accurate deadly pellet was the baracuda hunters. With iron sights i can hit small black birds at 65 yards. With iron Sights!!!

Things I would have changed: Scope sucked it was terrible. Screws did come loose because of power. Not a big deal just some loctite. When i cocked mine the barrel was loose and didn't really stay. I could lift the barrel up just a little after cocking and then drop it and would just fall right back down.

What others should know: If youre hunting this is a good gun. If you need a scope buy a different one cause this one sucks really bad. The power will also knock the scope right off so get good rings.

Things I liked: Very solid rifle. Great ergonomics, and easy to cock considering the power. After break in (about 200 pellets) it has become very accurate. Nice scope provided, although needed adjustment (next time I'll get the 10 for $10 service). Plan to use primarily for target shooting, hoping for 100 yards (very accurate at 50 yards).

Things I would have changed: Barrel was really filthy, not just machine oil used in manufacture, but a heavy "gunk". Gun really needs a thorough cleaning before you can expect good accuracy.

What others should know: Pyramid Air is the only online store that ships to New Jersey (to Federal Firearms Licensees gun dealers), as pellet and BB guns are considered firearms in NJ.

Things I liked: the speed n power it deliver is amazing.use heavier pellets.really a monster gun.u can knock down rabbits in seconds n at far distances.the butt is quite impressive n looks good.really a nice gun.

Things I would have changed: the trigger is little far.make it shorter.

What others should know: its length is 50".very long gun.heavy recoil.great cocking effort.

What's the cocking effort and has anyone krony this thing.

    • SG1 (NRA Life 1982) from USA asked:

Why is it Canada and the European countries are the only ones allowing options for getting wooden stocks on the X-50? I wish the wooden stock version was imported to and available inside the USA.

      • Chevota from USA:

The Benjamin Trail XL stock should fit, but I'd guess there will be a little empty space under the end cap where the safety is. Your safety may cover it well enough, but if you like the XL stock I'd imagine it's cheap, like $30-40 from Crosman. The shrouded XL barrel in your choice of caliber should fit too.

      • SG1 (NRA Life 1982) from USA:

I'll call Stoeger Monday and ask them as my questions have been sitting here idle for 2 months. Stoeger/Benelli Airgun catalog arrived today, they show the wood x50 model on page 2. But in the specifics pages later on they show the molded stock version with no mention of wood stock availability.

    • ATMG68 from USA asked:

Who's lying ? I was told today that No airgun and go 1500fps ... even alloy 20gr pellets.. lead i can see is a No . but alloy??? i have even seen guns the claim to go faster than 1500fps. So, who's lying to the consumers ??

      • Chevota from USA:

A break barrel in 22 certainly can't do it, but in 177 it's possible. You might have to tune the gun to get it. As a general rule the guns don't live up to the claims unless tuned, then depending on how much the company stretched the truth it may still fall short. The Stoeger X20S for example cannot hit its 1200fps claim, but a 1200fps Crosman can exceed it. Dieseling is another thing, it bumps power quite a bit and they usually diesel when new. A reviewer/tester will pull it out, shoot over a crony and get big numbers. After the grease burns off power drops to normal.

      • Donald from USA:

If this helps, I own a gamo socom extreme .177, and it claims to fire gamo alloys at 1650 fps. I have hunted with this, and even taken mid sized game with absolutely no problem ! I've even taken rabbits, and squirrels with alloys. Whatever I fire this using, always goes straight through their skulls, drops them dead in their tracks ! I know a bunch of guys down south, that take big boars dead, with one shot! I understand that they don't make it any more, but there are a few out there that claim 1450, to 1600 fps. The socoms little brother claims 1450 I believe ? But they are out there !
