Things I liked:Really nice gun! Smooth, quiet, accurate, beautifully finished, exceptional sights and trigger. Solid feeling polymer stock looks great and fits me perfectly. Unexpectedly flat shooting over my 30 yd range and I don't see a lot of sensitivity to how the gun is held.
Things I would have changed:Pricey, but features of the LGV can be had only as expensive custom rework on most other guns, if at all.
What others should know:I gave up air rifles years ago after I experienced most every problem ever written about the highly regarded Beeman R8 (4 new R8s returned!). It was a big step for me to try again, but so far, this LGV is everything I wanted. PA's return policy sealed the deal for me, but I don't think I'll be needing it.
Things I liked:Quality built, outstanding accuracy, very little recoil for a spring piston rifle.
Things I would have changed:There is a LOT of spring twang, the sound of silence it is NOT! Trigger; the first stage is very, very looooooooong, why, it's mystery to me. I have 2 RWS34 with TO6 trigger, TO6 is much better than the Walther trigger.
What others should know:Exceptional accuracy, quality construction, if you can live with the pronounced spring twang and mediocre trigger. For the high price, I expected better.
Things I liked:Quality is first rate. Trigger is the kind you needn't think about, you just concentrate on the target. I was a little concerned that I might not like the synthetic stock, but I love the feel of it. Not too sticky, not too smooth, just right. Feels as solid as a wooden one. The checkering is in fact an embossed pattern; nice. Firing behavior is mild, like a rimfire, but in the opposite direction. Accuracy, especially with JSB 15.89 gr pellets, is one ragged hole.
Things I would have changed:I bought the Challenger because I normally stand and shoot in my basement 10-yd range. I'd love a version which weighs in at a pound less. I put a Leupold EFR 3-9x on it, and the total weight is 9.1 lbs.
What others should know:This is an adult air rifle. Cocking effort is on the heavy side. Shooting, it does make a noise, but it is muted. Also, the shooter feels zero vibration, so this rifle is a pleasure to shoot, right from the box, first pellet downrange.
