This is a powerful air rifle, and it's mainly intended for hunting and pest elimination. However, it also makes a nice gun for casual shooting and plinking. Since the gun is ambidextrous, anyone will be able to shoot it.

To get the most accuracy out of your Webley Valuemax, mount a good scope on it.

Things I liked:

Like the look and feel. Very accurate and good power. Clearly hunting rifle.

Things I would have changed:

Trigger. After shooting "Diana" for some time this one is a challenge.

What others should know:

I shot 200-300 times this gun and it broke while cocking. This is after 6 weeks owing the gun. PA gave me warranty contact and Webley office handled it very quickly and profecionally. Repair shop determined that cocking lever broke and they were not able to fix it. I picked up a new gun from the warehouse. Hopefully this one will last.

Things I liked:

Price was cheap at only $150 and the fact it was .20 attracted me to this this little springer - but sadly I was left very disappointed.

Things I would have changed:

Bore was way too tight for every .20 pellet I had to try - JSB 13.4 , Crossman Premiers 14.5, H&N Barracuda's and FTT - NOTHING fit the breech and I had to almost hammer in the pellets with a pellet seater to get a pellet into the barrel...... also it is VERY noisy and twangy shot cycle - so much so that plnking in a suburban back yard would alert the neighbors and likely police. Cheap, hollow , plastic stock with a poor finish. Metal work and finish was acceptable. Trigger was very heavy and could not be adjusted fully - 1st stage creep could be reduced but that is all. Accuracy at 25 yds was approx 2" groups and I am an expert marksman and shoot competitively.

What others should know:

You get what you pay for in this life ... and I made a mistake buying this poorly made, extremely loud, and inaccurate air rifle so I paid to return it to PA and purchased a STOGER X20 in .22 which I am MUCH happier with. PA was superb to deal with - and certainly not there fault that the ValueMax is not a decent airrifle. Sure you could spend $200 on getting it tuned and add an aftermarket GXII trigger but if you are going to do that why not just spend the $350 on a better quality rifle ....

  • Ganesh from India asked:

Is this made in UK or China, which pellets are best for this air rifle.

    • Timothy Z from USA answered:

Made in Turkey by Hatsan. Mechanically same gun as a Striker 1000.
