10 of 10 H&N Field Target .25 Cal Reviews
These are very underrated in break barrel rifles. Not the most accurate in my Hatsan 125 but close. Around 1.25 inches at 25 yards.
Things I Would Have ChangedI will be like everyone else and say more to tin.
What Others Should KnowVelocity in my gun is 768 fps for a 5 shot string.
Screw on lid.
Things I Would Have ChangedGet rid of the lip behind the dome.
What Others Should KnowGive them to your buddy and you'll beat him everytime.
good all around plinking and hunting round
What Others Should Knowtalon p loves em
Shooting these from a webley break barrel at 30 yards , I couldn't get a group size let alone a group. Not a consistant pellet for this rifle.
Things I Would Have ChangedProlly the shape of the pellet maybe the grain
What Others Should KnowH&N make a precise polished pellet. A truly good brand name
nothing
Things I Would Have ChangedShape of pellet
What Others Should KnowI tried them in my FX Royal 400 could not hold a group at 20 yards, looked like a shotgun pattern. I gave them to a friend to shoot in his Mrod and him gave them back to me. May be good for a paper weight?
The pellet looks good.
Things I Would Have ChangedAccuracy
What Others Should KnowI used this pellet for the first 100 shots of my new mrod .25 and they were not accurate. Out of every set of 8 at least half were flyers of 1-2 ". Once my first tin of JSB KINGS came in . . . . Talk about night and day! I shot 48 pellets (two air refills) and ALL . . .I mean ALL were within a nickel at 40 yards. I would not recommend H&N Field Target.
H&N sent these with a screw on lid.
Things I Would Have ChangedThese "domed" pellets have a very low domed nose with a flat rim at the outer perimeter. They did not retain velocity well at all.
What Others Should KnowMy Benjamin Marauder is showing a dislike to pellets lighter than about 26.0g and unfortunately these are wildly inaccurate at over 3" at 25 yards. These are well formed and clean but my Marauder will not shoot them well. They also did poorly in retaining velocity downrange as measured by my chronograph at 20 yards and at the muzzle.
Wery well made, what more can I say
Things I Would Have ChangedNothing
What Others Should KnowAny experienced airgunner will tell you "Speed" has nothing to do with accuracy. Pellets that fly fast are usually light weight and are effected by crosswind. Heavy pellets fly slower, fly straighter and have a harder impact than light weight pellets. That why I selected this pellet
great item
Things I Would Have Changednothing acept give 250 over 200

The quantity, and near consistent shape of pellets
Things I Would Have ChangedIn all, this is a good pellet for just about any magnum springer. There is, occasionally, a loose fitting pellet, but in general, the H&N pellet is a visibly superior pellet, albeit less preferred than the JSB pellet, IMHO
What Others Should KnowThis H&N pellet is a bit less accurate than the JSB pellet of near equal weight. I would recommend with some reservation. I will probably stick with the JSB in the future.
