H&N Hunting Sampler .22 Cal, 5 Different Pellets, 155ct

H & N is a quality brand.

Why are you even including a silver point selection in the package? If it turns out these are the pellets my rifle likes, they are no longer available in .22. Also, wish they have have had the H&N FTT and Barracuda Hunter Extreme instead of the Baracuda Hunter and the Baracuda Power. The FTT and the Hunter Extreme are a lot more popular.

Only had 1 type not shoot sub 1 inch groups at 30 yards. Do not use to sight in guns. They are to good for that. Tweak it in fine using these. Use only a few if you got several guns to find the best for each gun. They run out quick. I ran out of baracuda hunters before I got to my 4th rifle.

Packaging.

Three types of pellets didn't set with the pellset. It seemed like a skirt dimension problem. Now matter the pellset depth or pressure used, they would only set flush with barrel.

Great to be able to buy several type of pellets when trying to determine what shoots best in a given weapon. I am using these to fine tune a couple of .22s I just purchased at Pyramid.

Nice sample pack to see what your gun really likes. Seem to be well made, consistent looking pellets.

Label the containers. After taking the containers of pellets out of the pack it can be hard to tell them apart.

Was disappointed with all of these out of my Marauder pistol especially when compared to the JSB sample pack. However, I did also get some H&N Hunter Extremes for my .25 rifle and they shot well.

I like the concept of pellet samplers to be able to test various pellets to determine which my Umarex Octane likes the best. All of the various pellets included in this sampler seemed very consistent as to size. I found no damaged pellets. My Octane liked the Crow Magnum, Silver Point, & Hunter in that order. Most of my 5 shot 30 yard groups with these pellets were just under 1 inch. The Barracuda Power groups averaged about 1 & 1/4 inches. My Octane did not like the light weight Green pellets at all. The way that PA packages and ships pellets is great. It is very unlikely that there will be any damage in shipment.

I would like to see more of each pellets included in the sampler to allow more extensive testing with each type of pellet at different ranges.

The selection offers a nice range of performance variation to pin down the ideal pellet. The tube are great for carrying a reasonable huber of pellets and was one of the selling points that appealed to me. I tried the hunting pack from Benjamin, but the pack they come in is worthless. I also had tighter grouping with 2 of the H&N selections.

I would like it more if the tubes were labeled with numbers 1 through 5. Also, the Baracuda Power pellets were total sprayers with my rifle - i don't know if the cause had to do with the pellet or just a quirk of the pellet rifle combination.

I recorded the following results with my Umarex Octane .22 rifle at 25 yards. I sighted my scope with RWS Meisterkugeln Professional Line 14.0 gr, which were super consistent and fit perfectly into the loading chamber with no effort, and I managed 1.5 inch groups at 25 yards (just left of bullseye). Baracuda Hunter (my favorite in the pack) - 1.5 to 2 inch groupings with similar fitment and consistency as with the RWS (just right of bullseye). Crow Magnum - 2.5 inch groupings, but fitment was a bit awkward (just right of bullseye). Baracuda Power - 12 inch spray or worse! Silver Point - 4 inch groupings, with stubborn fitment (just left of bullseye). Baracuda Green - 4 in groupings and to the upper left of target.

The chance to shoot 5 very good H&N pellets!!! In testing my BENJAMIN NPS I got a very good group with the "SPITKUGEL pellet!!! In 28 pellets tested they came in 2nd. Always 2 touching at 30 yards!!!

The holders make a GREAT hunting pellet holder for the woods!!!

Nicely packed. Set of five different pellets. It only took me ten pellets each to test on all my .22 to sight it to near perfect and pick the best pellet for a particular rifle.

Nothing. I know there are more hn pellets there. Maybe instead of just five test tubes offer ten.

It's worth the money. Buy it.
