Things I liked:

Light ,long barreled, mild recoil, easy on scopes, making this break barrel gun very consistent. Decent bluing, Mine stays out in my garage 24/7 in south Florida humidity with very little rust.

Things I would have changed:

Not much to improve at this price other than working on barrel droop. (Big problem for many 34 owners )but mine is perfect no barrel droop 22 that have for about four years and about 50,000 rounds have been put through it.

What others should know:

After shooting many break barrels for many years I have learned that scopes moving on there mounts is mostly just a bunch of bull. The internals of the scopes sift under intense recoil. My 34 is 22 and a good one. I own many HW break barrels and my 95 in 22 is my favorite. But my 34 has a larger diameter piston seal 28 mm that gives a slower less harsh recoil for the same power as many others resulting in a more consistent hold for your scope.

Things I liked:

There is essentially nothing to dislike about this rifle. I can hit dimes easily at beyond 30 yards on a calm day (factory UTG scoped). I find the cocking smooth, much much smoother than a hatsen 95 that i owned. the TO6 trigger is remarkable... no need for any adjustments for my purposes. (pest control)

Things I would have changed:

I wouldn't change anything honestly, however it would be cool if they could incorporate sling mounts somehow. Thats it.

What others should know:

If looking for a serious air rifle in the $200-250 range, you simply cannot go wrong with a Diana.

Things I liked:

I have only shot the gun enough to zero it with one brand/type of pellet (may be 10 shots). So far so good. The gun needs to be shot more and with different pellets which I have not had time to do yet. I'll know more after that. Seems to be a good gun though.

  • David from USA asked:

Does anyone know a trick to zeroing these guns? I put a droop compensating rail on to get it zeroed up and down, but it is WAY OFF left to right, NO WAY TO ZERO IN! I wanted to like these guns because of all the hype about RWS guns, well I hate mine, the 34P and the 460 both have the SAME PROBLEM! HOW DO YOU ZERO THESE GUNS?

    • James from USA asked:

about how much fpe on a 177 rws 34p

      • Todd from USA answered:

18.64 will not happen, expect more like 14-15. The advertised 1000 is with the lightest pellets, probably RWS 7.0gr, and I'm not sure how many off the line can hit that #. With the 8.4gr I'd guess 850fps, but the guns vary so you might get a bit more, maybe less. On the bright side; 850-900 is a great speed for accuracy and the JSB 8.44 is an outstanding pellet so it's a good match. You can tune it and/or add a heavier spring if you want more power.

      • Paul from USA answered:

Per the spec. of 1000 fps using a 8.4 gr. you'll get 18.64 fpe.

    • Rick from USA asked:

I HAVE A RWS 34P. LOOKING FOR A GOOD 22 ACCURATE PELLET FOR SQUIRREL HUNTING.

      • Todd from USA answered:

It's hard to say since guns can be finicky so what works for one won't always work for another, but the JSB 14.3 is outstanding and easily my #1 pick. The 14.3 Crosman Premier round nose are excellent too. They're super tough too so if you carry pellets in your pocket the skirts won't get bent like the JSB do. I'd try both at min to see which the gun prefers.

RWS Super Hollow Point. H-N Terminator are devastating on squirrels

      • james from USA answered:

I have 34P. H&N FTT 14.66, and JSB 15.89 are most accurate for me.
