I like the feel of the rifle, and the fact that it was on sale at the time. My poor eyes could not do well with the iron sights, but they appeared to function and zero just fine at my test firing from 10 meters. I like the feel of synthetic stocks better than wood. This review is for the .177 version.
Things I would have changed:The supplied scope died after 100 shots. This was expected through other's reported experiences. I replaced the scope with another cheap 4-9x32 scope and found the rifle was quite a drooper. Even with elevation maxed in the upward direction the POI was 6 inches low at 10 meters. I added a plastic 3/16" shim under the scope at that at least brought the POI to the target center with the scope elevation nearly maxed.
What others should know:Don't bother using the supplied 4x scope, it won't last. If my son enjoys shooting the Express between 10 and 30 yards. I'll probably order a decent True-Strength UTG for the rifle that will likely cost me as much or more that I paid for the rifle when on sale if/when the above mentioned cheap 4-9x scope fails. Still not sure if my drooping was the scope's fault, the rifle or the rings. The original rings are now securely fastened so I hesitate to change them.

this is a nice simple springer 22 air gun. the accuracy is right on with open sights out to 30 yards. it's a very fun gun to shoot. it's not too loud and not too bad of a kick.

How loud is it, is it back yard friendly?
As loud as any in it's class that have a coil spring and no suppressor, so basically rather loud. Your neighbors will certainly know you're shooting.
who makes it
Can't say but wanted to chime in on spring size. I used a 0.13" or 0.14" wire spring with 30 coils in mine, a 0.594" guide slid in snug but not tight so I made one that was nice and tight. The metal piston sleeve had to be replaced because of the added diameter so I used thick plastic from some packaging curled up inside the piston. I could have skipped the top hat since that little step around the rod inside the piston fit inside perfectly but I made one anyway. Gotta say, this rifle was nice once I got all screws tight with thread locker but after making a custom guide it's a dream to shoot and looks to be as accurate as my RWS 48
Don't know who makes it but I do know that mine has a FWB style scope rail. The receiver has groves cut across the dovetail for FWB rings with integral scope stops. So maybe FWB copy?
Made in China. Basically another Diana 34 clone but with a cheap chinese version of a Rekord trigger. It doesn't feel like a Rekord, nor is as good as the chinese clone of the Diana T5 trigger. My guess is this trigger is cheaper to make. I think it has potential if you want to tinker with it. The main seal on mine was trashed! Most are damaged but this one was a record holder, and others have shown me pix of their seals which are equally as bad. So if you buy this be sure you also buy a new Diana 34 main seal and sand all the sharp edges inside which destroyed the orig one before installing the new. The main spring was canted in several directions right out of the box so I'm guessing they went lowest bidder there too. The spring in mine is .1265” wire x .825” OD x 27.8 coils, so it should accept a Diana 34 spring if needed.
I was curious too, it certainly isn't Remington. I was thinking maybe Mendoza, or a Chinese Diana 34 clone with a different trigger? Anyone have one?

Power, accuracy, open sights, synthetic stock. The price, very affordable.
Things I would have changed:Nothing
What others should know:I keep this as a back door gun in my shop to take out pests and for that reason I went with a .22 caliber. I have been shooting this gun for several years now and have never had a single issue with it. I chose to leave the open sights as I find I can get on target faster that way. This gun has awesome power and is deadly on tree rats. I have taken squirrels out to 25 yards with no problems. The synthetic stock is durable and I don't worry about scratching it. I just can't say enough good things about this gun, it is by far my favorite go to gun. This gun has been kept in my shop for years and the finish has held up very well. Just a great value all the way around.
