    Things I liked:

Bought this for the Benjamin 392, removed the ram sight and never looked back. Off hand shooting at 15 yards you can punch quarter size targets all day ! Sweet. Mine worked straight out of the box, screw on, no adjustments.

    Things I would have changed:

Put tiny amount of flat white enamel paint on the front site and flat black paint around the peep hole to cut reflections...

    What others should know:

    Buy it and smile.

    Things I liked:

I like the fact that the Crosman 64 sight fits older models of Benjamin 397's despite the claim that it only fits models made within the last five years. I currently own a Benjamin Model 397 that I bought in about 1994, and I affixed this sight to it without any problems. This sight is well-made, is tiny in size, and it works very well.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing except perhaps to remove the disclaimer abot this sight fitting only Benjamin/Sheridan air rifles made in the last five years.

    What others should know:

Yes, to remove the original sights on the Benjamin Model 397/392, I recommend these following actions: (1) get yourself a flat-edge screwdriver at least 1/4"-wide by about 8"-long. Also get a rubber mallet or a small ball-peen hammer. Bring these items close to you. (2) Make sure the rifle is unloaded. (3) Stand you 397 so that the stock rests on a hard surface with the barel pointing upwards. (4) Ask an assistant to hold the rifle with his/her hand located towards the front sight area. (5) Using the screwdriver and mallet/hammer, gently--GENTLY--tap one of the two rails that holds the original rear sight in place until it moves downward from its original position. You want to move this rail at least 1/2 - 3/4". (6) STOP. (7) Switch sides: tap the other rail gently so that it moves about the same distance as the first. (8) STOP. (9) Repeat these actions until both rails drop free. Make sure you gently tap the rails with the hammer and screwdriver. Failure to comply could easily result in you damaging the rifle beyond repair should you break the solder connection between the barrel and the pump chamber. SO BE CAREFUL!!!

    Things I liked:

Fit and finish. Ease of use.

    Things I would have changed:

Re-engineer the sight to allow lower elevation.

    What others should know:

I am one of those "had to grind the bottom in order to lower the elevation" guys. Other than that, it's made this 392 into a real gopher getter. Couldn't imagine a better sight for extremely close range -5' to 20'.

    Things I liked:

Installation on my Benjamin 392 was a effortless. In the immortal words of Marissa Tomei in My Cousin Vinny, the sight was dead on balls accurate right out of the box. Target acquisition was so much quicker than with the stock open rear sight. A great and inexpensive investment that makes shooting the 392 even more enjoyable.

    Things I would have changed:

On my particular 392, the sight sits about .25" above the stock and barrel. It does not affect targeting but without the support of the barrel it may be more vulnerable to damage.

    What others should know:

This was my first experience with a peep sight and strongly recommend one if you want greater accuracy and speedier target acquisition. My 9 year old was quick to adapt to the new sight.

    Things I liked:

Easy Installation, very accurate, works great even with my "old" eyes. This is a high quality sight

    Things I would have changed:

The instructions do not cover removing the original sight, they should. The windage adjustment markings could be shifted to the sides and put a white mark on the peep base for more accurate adjustments. I would suggest milling out the bottom of the crosspiece a bit more, this would allow for a greater adjustment range, mine is all the way down and it is perfect, however if I needed to make it lower I'd have to take it to the grinder, something many would be unwilling or unable to do. I still have room between the milled out area on the sight and my barrel however the sight bottoms out on itself.

    What others should know:

This is a high quality sight and met all of my expectations, the comments in the "things I would change" box would simply make it a better product but I would not call them unsatisfactory.

    Things I liked:

ease of installation, appearance, performance, it works better than it looks. certainly better than a scope for me. learning to peep with this and my garand. even old eyes can use this .

    Things I would have changed:

    nothing

    What others should know:

extremely accurate on my 392p benjamin. got 2 rws 34's but this is just as accurate. not as noisy to shoot. easier to pump than springers.

    Things I liked:

This is a must for Benji lovers out there. It fits my C9A from the mid 90s, so its not just for models from the last 5 years. I love how it speeds up my aiming and adds great additional accuracy. It is also fairly simple to set up. Just don't overtighten those screws, remember, they are threading into brass.

    Things I would have changed:

    nothing really.

    Things I liked:

I've always liked iron sights, but this is my first peep sight, installed on a Benjamin 392. I find this sight both quicker and more precise than a notch. It is easy to install, solidly built, and holds its settings.

    Things I would have changed:

Extend the lower end of the adjustment range (see below). Add an adjustment screw to control the windage more precisely.

    What others should know:

Like several others, I found it necessary to file the inside corner of the up-down adjustable piece. Otherwise it shoots too high at 20yd. At 10m, the pellet is still moving upward to the sight line, and I think the sights could be zeroed without filing.

    Things I liked:

Wow! I couldn't believe how easy and accurate this sight is! I began to install it at 16:12 and was done by 16:15. I then took the gun (a benji 392) into the basement where I have a indoor shooting range for air guns and fired it without even sighting it in. On the first shoot it hit the target dead on with crosman premier pellets (the same pellets that I bought from Pyramyd air at the same time I bought the sight). Then my wife (who couldn't hit the inside of a barn with a M249 and a thousand round belt) hit the same target at the same distance. I am extremely happy with this purchase and can say it won't be my last. Pyramyd Air Rocks. Thank You.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing! Both my purchases were a 12 out of 10 in my book.

    What others should know:

Air rifles and air handguns can teach you things about trigger control and safety that just shooting a regular firearm won't. With a regular firearm all you think about is the recoil. But by practicing with a airgun you will learn proper breathing techniques and not pull the trigger, but squeeze the trigger. Let the recoil be a surprise and you will be rewarded with a accurate shot. P.S. Don't put a death grip on a springer. just hold it softly and let the recoil happen.

    Things I liked:

Good product. Accurate and easy to install. I didn't have any issues with having to file anything down. I guess my 392 was drilled and tapped correctly. I'm now getting groups at 25m of about 6cm. I'm 51 so my eyes aren't what they used to be...younger eyes would probably do better. Recommended.

Goes on easily and much more accurate than factory rear sight.

    Things I would have changed:

    Things I liked:

Ease of finding front site with peep site . Also installs relatively easy .

    Things I would have changed:

Recalibrate sight - zero is not low enough .

    What others should know:

I had to file away from underside of sight to get low enough to zero for close range - under 5 yards

    Great solid sight !

    Things I would have changed:

Click adjust would be very cool, I suppose the sight would just cost more.

    What others should know:

I love my Sheridan C9. This sight added 6.5 inches to my sight radius......Huge difference ! I tried holographic dot, No bueno, scopes just DON'T work on these rifles, for me anyway . I've read all the reviews and was ready to file the bottom of my new sight cause everybody was shootin' high..... but I ended up raising it after starting from dead bottom. Great Product for Benji / Sheridan guys

    Things I liked:

Basically I liked everything about this sight. The instalation was very easy and all screws fit perfectly and adjustment was a whole lot better than the original sight. Unless you want to keep your original sight , the Williams sight is an absolute answer for Benjamen rifles.

    Things I would have changed:

There is nothing I would want to change with this sight.

    What others should know:

Follow the directions that come with the sight and it will work beautifully. Check some of the other suggestions on the reviews on this sight and you will get great results. Ralph T.

    Things I liked:

Easy, quick, and solid instalation, quality product very well made, great value for the price and my favorite choice for a sighting system for the Sheridan.

    Things I would have changed:

A windage adjusting stop screw would be nice tho the present sight is not hard to adjust. Pyramid should stock the Williams .050 aperture and the Twilight or "Ghost" aperture.

    What others should know:

I had no problems with the elevation range of the sight at all. In fact I had to raise the elevation setting till the hash marks were dead even at the top of the scale to be at perfect elevation at 30 yrds with the Benjamin 14.3gr. conical pellets. I had no need to file away any of the bottom of crossframe. Remove the cross mount by loosening the lock screw on the side of the mount and slide it out of the dovetail. Apply some thread lock or clear nail polish to the threads of the mounting screws and mount the frame. Slide the cross frame back into the dovetail and press it fully down. It will depress well beyound the top hash mark. tighten the lock screw and go out and start sighting in. Mine was quite close right from the start and required very little adjustment to be dead on at 30 yrds. Spin, Chilton WI

    Things I liked:

This sight has made accuracy even better than I expected it would. My shooting became more consistant and stabalized the windage problem that I was having. I normally dont like to use peeps but this one works very nicely on my Benjamin 392.

    Things I would have changed:

I would change nothing about this rear sight.

    What others should know:

I haven't tried this sight in shaded areas yet, as in the woods. The info I read in these rating comments was of great help especially on how to get the rear original sight off, it worked perfectly.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

Simple to install and use, rugged, well made and finished, precise elevation adjustment, quick to sight with, big improvement over the 392 factory open sights

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing...maybe make alternative apertures available to buy.

    What others should know:

Aperture sights are quick and easy to use--if you don't try to think about it too much--and much more accurate than regular open sights. I've always preferred them. The two screws used to hold the windage adjustment are not precise like the elevation screw, but once you set it it will hold; this leaves you to fiddle with the elevation screw for different ranges. The factory sights on the Benjamin are easy to remove by resting the butt of the stock on the floor and holding a dowel or wooden block against the front end of the sight (where the windage screw is located) and gently tapping the sight assembly towards the rear. The assembly clamps to two small inserts that lie between the barrel and the pump tube, on each side. Once the assembly clears these inserts, the whole thing comes apart and the three parts fall off.

    Things I liked:

I like the peep-site view as it takes me back to military days of shooting the M-16 with its sight picture. It was simple to install on the Benjamin .20 Blue Streak.

    Things I would have changed:

Not sure if I'll ever need all the tic-marks for elevation; it consistently shot high on the lowest setting. Took advice of other reviews to file-down the underside so that it'll aim lower. I'd change the design to drill the mounting screw-holes a couple millimeters higher.

    What others should know:

It is clear that if you purchase this for the Sheridan you'll have to do some modification to the peep-site assembly by filing to get it shooting lower. I've read that one tick is 10 yards... it needs to go about 2 - 3 ticks beyond the lowest setting.

    Things I liked:

It installed in less than three minutes. Holes aligned perfectly. Sighted it in in five minutes. Shot right where it should and was fine.

    Things I would have changed:

Some people might like smaller apertures available. But the one it came with gives plenty of view.

    What others should know:

Once you get it sighted in you will love it if you have had a peep sight ever before.
