Switched from Vortex and not looking back

I have always been a fan of vortex and to be honest they make great products and I still own a bunch of their scopes. When I purchased the Midas tac I was skeptical but I have zero regrets it was an upgrade if anything. If you have any questions about anything let me know.

    Midas Tac-driver!!!

Honestly I was ready to sell this AR-10 in .308. Not that it's a bad, cheap or otherwise less than desirable rifle. I have just found myself in love with my AR-10 in 6.5 creedmore! My good buddy and rep for Athlon talked me into putting new optics on it and just like that I fell in love with my 308 all over again! Can't say enough good things about this Athlon!

    So far so good!

I have this optic mounted on a Remington 700P in 300 WinMag and so far it has been exceptional. I zeroed the gun and have shot multiple box and ladder drills with it to ensure tracking is spot on and it is rock solid. Mounted in Athlon low precision rings on a Badger 20MOA base, and it's been absolutely solid. I'll admit I haven't taken it to any meaningful distance yet, as I'm still working on load development, but I'm confident I will have no issues. Glass is great, certainly for the price point. It's not a Mk5HD or a S&B, but it's also 20% of the money of those optics. Absolutely happy with my purchase.

Punches well above its price point

I use this scope for target shooting. In my opinion it's about the best value for the dollar for a 30mm tube / 50mm obj scope. The glass is surprisingly good for the money, tracking has been spot on, the turrets are nice, and it's FFP. I know it's a little thing, but I wish all my scopes had the same style windage turret - short and capped. Zero it, cap the windage, and forget about it. The shorter knob reduces the pressure on the scope from rifle cases. I think it's an amazing value. Is it a Kahles or a S&B? No, but you can buy 8 of these for the price of one S&B. Heck, you can get 3 of these for the price of a Cronus. I own both and am happy with both. Will this scope meet most peoples' needs for a nice, clear, reliable FFP scope at a very decent price that competes with scopes that cost considerably more? I certainly think so.

    Impressed

Ordered this scope for a precision 22 lr. Excellent clarity, paralax adjustment is superb. Can not wait to compete.

    Wonderful optic

The optical quality of this 4-16 optic is very good. The overall design and function is very good as well. The parallex adjust numbers match the indicated distances, turrets are solid and audible with no play in between adjustments. Zero stop was easy to set and works extremely well. I purchased the mil version reticle and the center aiming dot is extremely small, almost too small for my eyes. I sometimes have a hard time seeing it. Thumbs up for me on this Athlon.

    Great Optic for the price

Purchased this scope when my old one failed right before a hunting trip. Outstanding scope at a great price. after mounting it, it only took four shots to get the gun sighted back in. The scope held up to being packed in on horseback 9 miles and remained dead on. This optics company is putting out some really good optics at great prices.

    Great optic!

Bought this scope for a 300 win build. Used it on that gun, a sig cross, a 300 rum and now .224 valkyrie. Not one issue to complain about.

    Long range shooters dream

If you're like me and don't want to spend an absolute fortune on optics, but still want clear glass that also holds up and is reliable, this is absolutely the scope for you. I searched for months and looked at review after review on other scopes and obviously to include this one as well, I chose this one. I got the scope in and to absolutely no surprise, Athlon scopes have exceptional glass and this one absolutely was crystal clear. It tracks back to zero flawlessly even after cranking on the dials like no tomorrow and I honestly have zero complaints about the scope. The ONLY complaint about it is that it doesn't come with any scope caps/bikini or scope mounts. To me though, I always replace factory scope mounts due to most likely it's not the best quality (no offense Athlon) and to be fair, I've never tried Athlon scope mounts, but again, I only assume. Other than those two small things this scope in particular suits me for hunting and long range shooting. I haul it for miles, it maintains zero and you can hit a mile with it no problem. I absolutely love this scope and this brand!

    Athlon Midas Tac

I Have had the Athlon Midas Tac (MOA) On my Bergara .22 LR for several months. I often shoot around 500 yards, which is about a 90 MOA elevation adjustment at that range. Most scopes do not have the large adjustment range that this one has, which is needed for ELR .22 LR shooting. The zero stop turrets make dialing back to zero no problem at all. Gone are the days of counting "12... 24...36...". There is little mirage in the optic that I have noticed. The build quality is phenomenal. I love the reticle. The turret clicks are very crisp. It pairs well with their 20 MOA cantilever mount.
