Things I liked:

I was Quite Surprised by The Build of this Pistol , as a Mater of Fact Umarex has Taken a "Step Up" on ALL of Its Recent Builds Lately ! The entire Feel of the MP-9 is Different, not because of the 3 Backstraps that come with the Pistol , oh No,,, The Metal Slide , and the Polymer Frame have a Unique authenticity about them that gives the Build an Outstanding Quality that the KWC and Cyberguns of the past Decade in No Way Has ! Now we see The Magazines have a totally New Design , that many of us "Old Timers" have difficulty figuring out, yet they have cut down the Leakage Problems by at least 70%. The Pistol has a Kool Recessed Barrel wherein the Inner barrel has been painted black. The "CLANKING" sound like in most half Blowbacks is there, but far less noticeable , and the Power and Crispness of the Blowback Is OUTSTANDIND !!! There's No annoying lettering, an A Plus for the Sights , and The Accuracy is Spot on using Daisy Steel BB's ! In All a MUST For Your Collection !!!

Things I would have changed:

As Far as Changes , it's a bit of a Gas Guzzler , and the Price Point HERE on PY Air is Fine , but keep that in Mind. This Pistol gives You a REALISTIC Build and Leaves Nothing to be Desired !!!

What others should know:

Keeping the Price Point in Mind, I Personally check Ebay daily for "Pre Owned Air Pistols" and "Pre Owned Airsoft Pistols" . I also Sell under the Same Category unless I am Selling Something Somewhat New. You Will See this Pistol Go for as High as $134 dollars or More depending on the GREED of the Sellers , Not to Mention the Shipping which could be from ,$4.50 to (get this), $25 dollars !!! Other Air Gun Websites too will take Liberties with the MSRP , Therefore find a Good Website like Pyramyd Air , & Airgun Depot , that will give You a Baseline to Go By ... Thank You All Pegleg K.

Things I liked:

I really wanted to like this pistol. I have a 9mm Mod 2.0, and a Co2 model of the .40 Cal. This matches my Mod2.0 for the most part, with the exception of a clever safety position, and a too-far forward trigger position. I can honestly say that the grip texture is very good. That is about the only good thing I can say about this execrable pistol.

Things I would have changed:

Go back to the old-school magazine like the M&P40. Go back to the field-strippable design of the M&P 40. Go back to the backstrap system of the M&P 40. Find some way to not make this copy-cat feel like a lightweight cap gun. I would gladly pay $40 more for a better replica of one of my favorite pistols. Except for the appearance of it, everything screams "cheap" about this pistol. Really a surprise considering who makes it.

What others should know:

To go with what I said above, the gas management on this pistol makes it loud and harsh to shoot. The side is too light; barely moving forward when I press the slide stop, you can't field strip it, and the trigger is absolutely awful; too far forward in the trigger guard and about an inch of travel before you hit the wall, only to experience an unpleasant resistance, then a harsh bang. The accuracy is awful as a result. I got an average 4" spread at 21ft. There is no reset. if you hold the tigger down and try to hit the reset after firing, it will not load another BB, but instead fires gas only. I also discovered that after I shot 2 magazines (30 BBs, which was all I could stand) that after the initial last round hold open, I could pull the trigger as many times as I wanted to exhaust the remaining gas. Convenient, but not what I wanted, I am extremely disappointed by this pistol and will not recommend it, unless you just want to look at it.

    Things I liked:

I bought this pistol to improve my skill with my EDC piece. While it isn’t exactly the same, it definitely improved my level, especially the draw and fire rate, as well as dealing with the eternal S&W trigger pull. This pistols trigger pull is so long, it will actually make it seem like your actual S&W is crisp hehe! Just with the literal thousands of rounds I’d have used it saved me a ton of money in ammo, and also trips to the range. The blowback is also fairly nice, I’d say about comparable to a hot .22 round in a pistol. I forgot to also mention, that using a couple cartridges a few times a week has drastically improved my quickdraw accuracy. I’m getting used to the whole shirt tangle issue, while being smooth and actually firing real ammo. A lot of people say oh, it’s a bb, but what a bb can do is teach a person about ricochet x10000000. They also hurt, so wear eye protection/ maybe a cup. Don’t fire around windows, use common sense. Perhaps, while supervised good for a teen.

    Things I would have changed:

Make the rear sight adjustable and also the ability to fire .177 caliber pellets or BBs would be a great option. Rifle the barrel. All this would make the experience even more realistic.

    What others should know:

It’s not exactly your S&W, but it’s dang close enough to improve your skills with less cost and noise.

Very realistic! I have the real gun side by side with the real thing you cant tell

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing really would be awesome to use pellets

    What others should know:

Not accurate at distances over 6 ft but it is very fun shooting nonetheless

    Things I would have changed:

Terrible trigger response. Feels gritty and you have to pull it WAY back to get it fire. Not impressed.

I own an actual S&W M&P Shield Pistol and this great replica has almost all the look and feel of the real thing. Great value for the money and excellent for lots of low cost, low noise but applicable target practice in the back yard (without freaking out the neighbors!). Enjoy!

    Things I would have changed:

    Can't think of anything!

    What others should know:

Make sure you buy extra magazines....you'll be glad you did!

Weight and detail are spot on.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger pull is a bit cumbersome, would like a smoother action.

    What others should know:

Use steel BBs instead of copper, seems to stay in the magazine better.

    Things I liked:

The quality of the this pistol is awesome. Attention to detail is obvious the second you open the box. The 3 sizes of grips made it so easy to get a perfect fit for my hand. Accuracy is excellent and so far I only have one problem and thats with the trigger sticking back.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing really, for the money its hard to beat.

    What others should know:

BBs do have a tendency to drop out of the barrel sometimes, not sure why.

    Things I liked:

Ooph, this is going to take a little work. I also own this guns predecessor: the M&P 40. This gun isnt THAT gun which is a shame. But it is nice looking, and the trigger pull is rather nice, at least on mine. Thats it. Thats all I got

    Things I would have changed:

This thing just SCREAMS cheap. Honestly I think the Beretta APX may very well be a better gun for a third less cost. The blow back on this gun is like half an inch. It doesnt field strip like the MP40 does and the control youd use TO field strip is just molded into the cheap plastic frame. Having said all that my answer is: EVERYTHING.

    What others should know:

Save your money and buy the MP40 instead.

I love that it is very similar to my S&W 9mm, and that my son found it for me. We practice together all the time now. It feels good in my hand.

    Things I would have changed:

BBS should be easier to load. But its not bad.

    I love it.

Polymer and slide color match well. Grip texture is close to the original. If you MUST have a safety, Umarex's solution is a good one. It took me about 10 minutes before I could figure put how to make it work. The magazine has a catch on it, so it is easy to fill. I have not shot bb's though it.

    Things I would have changed:

Make it like the M&P 40, so you can take it down. It looked so good when I opened the package, but when I hit the takedown lever and nothing happened, I was disappointed.

    What others should know:

Thevl description says that you can adjust the front sight, but you can.

    Things I liked:

Finally a modern blowback Smith without misplaced, inaccurate white markings. In a market dominated by European companies, Smith and Wesson's M&P series seems to be the only strong contender. This build is much like the Umarex H&K VP9 so it should perform as well in the long run. Pretty solid and excellent detail too. Seems to be accurate on first outing. Break in will always improve this.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing.

    What others should know:

Pyramyd Air's ordering and UPS delivery system seems to be flawless. Good to know up here in Canada with Bill C21 still pendeng.
