    Things I liked:

Umarex Steel Storm... Boy oh boy they named this bugger right! I am truley amazed, both at how this thing functions and Pyramyd's service (more on that in a moment). I mounted a Leapers 30mm red dot and accuract is good. I suspect this rig is capable of 5 star accuracy. I've only shot it ... lets see, a few thousand times HA HA HA. But seriously this thing functions so good. I can't seem to keep it off the burst mode. Get one, you will see why!

    Things I would have changed:

Only a suggestion because I love the one I have, but ... make a version that is a little longer so as to employee some thing like a 50 or 60 round mag. Add a folding stock and a stronger striking spring. With several more inchs of barrel and a little harder whack on the valve, you would have a very serious BB gun.

    What others should know:

First off, Pyramyd has a new customer for life!!! I will never buy another air gun except from Pyramyd, hands down! About the gun, just be sure the co2 powerlets are screwed all the way in or the gun will act funny. And do watch the magazine follower because it moves real fast on burst mode. Like most co2 repeaters, it will fire whether a bb is chambered or not. And be careful, this thing looks really bad ass! You could be mistaken for a... a ... well you know, one of those bad guys who carry sub machine guns. This is the most unique and fun gun I own.

    Things I liked:

Holds lots of pellets. Pretty decent power. Holds two carts which really pays of for the "gogogo" factor. Has suprisingly good range but only with a charged cart. The picatinny rails are an awesome idea and allows for tons of attachments. So far I have a red dot optic on it and just ordered a laser sight and tactical flashlight for it. MY 5 y/o son LOVES his little beast!!!

    Things I would have changed:

Would love to see a full metal version of this gun. Safety is tough to pull up and down, so my 5 year old son has a hard time with it. I guess it will loosen up after time.

    What others should know:

Somehow a bb got stuck behind the hopper and now it annoying rattles all the time even though the hopper is empty. Would really like to figure out how to get it out of there because it's bugging the !@#$%# out of me. My suggestion, when pulling back the reload spring, make sure not to point the gun down. Keep it level and just shake. I think because I was pointing the gun vertically and shaking it, one got behind the hopper. ARGH! Aside from that it's a sweet gun and totally worth the price. Only time will tell how sturdy this is, as I only got about 500 rds through each gun. Can't wait to see if JimC will find this little bad boy worthy enough to mod it.

    Things I liked:

altho plastic internals must all be metal as the pistol has a good hefty feel....... the 300 bb reserve is definitely a very strong plus as it eliminates having to carry a jug of add'l ammo.....

    Things I would have changed:

    longer barrel for increased fps.....

    What others should know:

buy plrnty of powerlets for w/300bb reserve u'll be shooting a lot....

    Things I liked:

Brianag618; I purchessed this Air Gun to add to my collection and its unique style. It is a little bit on the heavey side, but nothing that should affect you haveing a great day of shooting. I found the ease of loading 300 .177 cal (BB'S) one of its unique points as well as the ease of loading the firing chamber with the locking ammo chaser. I gave it a 4 Star rating on Accuracy only because the factory sights are NON-Adjustable.

    Things I would have changed:

First I would start with the front and rear sights and do away with the factory sights completly, and add a set of Weaver Rail Mounts both front and rear that are fully adjustable. 2nd I would add an over the sholder Tactical/ Combat sling holder to the rear of the stock just below the cocking lever (1 inch wide), so that you do not have to but the gun down when not shooting it, for every one to play with while you are taking a break. 3rd. I would also make avalable as an Accessory a 2nd or 3rd Co2 Magazine/ Holder.(will explain below). And last I would again add as an Accessory, a full size muzzle break/ noise reduction system to give this air gun and over all completely better look to it. The only other item I would change is the ability to be able to fire more then a 6 round burst, may be a 15 to 20 round burst, but this will give you problems with your Co2 cart's. When you go from single shot shooting to 6 shot Burst's you will find out very quickly that your Co2 Cyl's will loose pressure and get very cold very fast. That is why I suggest that if UMAREX or PYRAMYDAIR would sell replacement Co2 Holdes/Mag's you can drop one out while it comes back up to shooting temputure and pressure, and you can still continue to shoot w/o waiting for the Co2's to get back to normal shooting mode. This is the only fall back I found with shooting in the Burst Mode, the C02's all but freeze up, and take several minutes to warm back up again to start shooting again.

    What others should know:

1st. I must make this clear, I am a precission, long range Rifle Shooter, and trained in both Live Ammo Rifles and Hand Guns. I use Air Guns to keep up my shooting skills. For the cost of a box of live .223 live fire rounds, I can shoot 24/7 with .177 cal Pellets and BB's for a month, and keep my over all shooting skills up to par. 1st, I find this UmarexUSA Steel Shot, (Russan Made) a very unique addition to my collection, and there are several things that anyone considering buying this Air Gun should know. Fifst and most important is the factory sights in my opinion are a waste, they are non-adjustable and for that reason only, I gave the Accuracy rating a 4out of 5. The sights can be cut off with EXTREAM CARE AND CAUTION (voiding the warranty) and installing a good matched set of Weaver, Milatary style Adjustable front and rear sights if you like shooting using open blade style sights. Short of doing this I would VERY STRONGLY suggest buying any one of the R/G Aim Point Sighting Systems, starting in price right around $30.00. My self I installed a LEAPERS R/G Weaver Mount Aim Point System, sighting the Air Gun in for single shot shooting was very simple, with shot in shot same hole target hits. @nd I would buy Reaction type targets that change color so unlike pellets you can see where you are hitting with BB's Using single shot mode and an AIM DOT Sighting System you will be very pleased with your over all shooting.See above for Burst shooting and the affects on the Co2.

    Things I liked:

Full auto 6 round bursts! Awesome feel in the hand as well. :) Lot's of heft makes for a nice feel. The loudness along with the recoil makes this feel like a suppressed SMG, very high on the *cool* factor.

    Things I would have changed:

Add a longer barrel option, like a threaded barrel that can be changed out for longer ones, like the aftermarket guys (JimC) did for the Drozd. Also, a regulated HPA attachment would be nice, but this is still most awesome for the money!

    What others should know:

Pyramyd Air ROCKS! Awesome packaging, great service.... Reviews that are unfiltered (minus derogatory terms, or swears) so people get all sides, not just positive reviews (Like some sites do...). Also, this thing fires at about 1200 |RPM, like a modded Drozd.

My second report: 2nd trip to the desert: I added a BSA red dot, it definately improved accuracy in single shot mode. A bit low with 6 round bursrs. I don't find the key to puncture the powerlets all that inconvient and for those folks in fear of losing it, just get a 10 mm allen hex key and make some more

    Things I would have changed:

    Nada.........I'm a happy camper

    Things I liked:

Bought it because of the full auto mode ( 6 round burst) . Uses bb's which are the cheapest and easiest to load air gun ammo available. The BB's are not as accurate as the pellets so those who complain about accuracy should switch to higher quality BB's or round balls perhaps. Although more accurate than I expected, this is not a target gun. The sights are quite large (and so is the whole gun) but it shoots to the point of aim at close plinking distances. After just a couple of magazines, I was able to shoot soda cans from the hip. It's a fun gun, inexpensive and the CO2 seems to be lasting for quite a few shots.

    Things I would have changed:

The separate tool for CO2 is just an annoying. I hate to think about loosing it. I'm thinking about attaching it to the gun on a fishing line somehow. The gun is quite big. Seems like there is a lot of an unnecessary plastic making it bulky.

    What others should know:

if you fill the reservoir all the way, the loading gets a little annoying. When it's only half filled it goes very easy.

    Things I liked:

Lots of fun destroying beer cans. Good value. Have only shot about 1000 Rnds. and used six CO2's so far, and am looking forward to next trip out to to the desert. Gonna mount a BSA red dot next. I know longer envy my friend's IZH Drozd, and best yet ?....no battery's required

    Things I would have changed:

Can't really think of anything. Well thought out design.

    What others should know:

As the CO2 pressure gets low/empty, my gun seems to go into a full auto mode and you see the BBs barely making it out.. Not to worry. Time for fresh cartridges.

    Things I would have changed:

Vis de serrage des cartouche de co2,j'en ai cassé une a la première utilisation. Cela aurait été plus solide en métal.

    What others should know:

Très bon airgun, moins gourmande en CO2 que je ne le pensait. Beaucoup de plaisir avec. Manque un peu de précision, sinon il est très bien.

    Things I liked:

The looks, the weight, the 300 BB reservoir makes reloading the internal magazine easy. I like the accuracy on single shot mode, but the 8 pellet burst, of course, loses some accuracy. Overall, it is as advertised and it is a blast to shoot.

    Things I would have changed:

The sights are difficult to see and line up...maybe just me and my glasses? White dots would be nice. A red dot sight will correct this, I'm sure.

    What others should know:

When the co2 is real low, the gun will fire auto burst even if the selector is on single shot (at least mine does). Just be mindful of that!

The price - lots of bang for your buck. It's a LOT of fun to shoot as well.

    Things I would have changed:

Quality construction, price, and its a blast to shoot. I agree with the other reviewer who said it brought back the thrill of shooting those bb machine guns at the fair.

    Things I would have changed:

Eliminate the separate tool to tighten the CO2s.

    What others should know:

Although this gun takes two CO2's, it works just fine with only a single CO2 installed as well, and from what I could tell I didn't lose much power, not did it reduce the number of shots delivered by doing this. You will also save a lot of money!

    Things I liked:

me and my 2 buddies opened the fedex box and tested it extensively today-we were actling like we were 16 again. The gun is suprisingly accurate after we mounted a scope and zeroed it at 10 yards-all the rounds were landing on a standard index card even at 20yrds.in single we were getting 2-3 incg groups at 20 yards which is pretty good for a non rifled barrel throwing steel bbs.I mounted a 4by 32 offset to the rear so the eye relief worked out well and it looks sick!!!!We proably fired 600 rds at all different targets and this took 6 co2s,and the last 2 co2s are still fresh with only 18 rds on them. The single downfall i anticipated was the valve freezing from the excessive co2 ,its sloows down after doing full auto but not once did it lock up.it was so much fun and so menacing im very happy i bought it.We also did some hunting with 22cal rifles so it was alot of shooting for one afternoon. If you want to get an adult excited about shooting a bb gun the steel storm has the look, the performance and the realistic feel to do it

    Things I would have changed:

the slightly slower rounds when the mechanism gets colder.

    What others should know:

    Things I liked:

Amazing rate of fire. 6 round burst is so fast you cant hear individual shots. Very easy to insert and change CO2 cartridges. Internal magazine hopper means no more magazine changes to reload. For shear firepower, NOTHING comes close to this gun.

    Things I would have changed:

All lightweight plastic housing doesn't feel as solid as a Drozd. Reloading the 30 magazine takes a little bit of getting used to.

    What others should know:

Dont expect to be shooting this thing in residential neighborhoods.....its quite loud and the 6 round burst sounds like a mini jackhammer. Sure to draw attention......

    Things I liked:

Other businesses could learn a few lessons from Pyramyd Air. These guys are professionals from start to finish in every transaction. My most recent purchase is the Umerex Steel Storm, and all I can say is what took so long?!?!? For this price it's sure to please anyone who wants to have the ultimate plinker. I put the $20. Walther green dot sight on it, and it's the most fun you'll have with anything that shoots in your back yard, basement, living room, etc. Loud enough to know you're shooting, but quiet enough to keep the neighbors from calling the police. A little recoil adds to the experience and seems like your shooting a little silenced sub gun. I'm sure they will be coming out with accessories, but I'm not going to wait. I plan on putting together some sort of folding or telescoping stock and a barrel extension of some sort . Hold it steady, and it's more accurate than most BB guns I have had. My guess is that only the most unreasonable person would be less than 110% happy with this air gun. I would feel the same way at twice the price.

    Things I would have changed:

Needs accessories, dress up kits, etc. available. Take the basic gun and make it available in different configurations to mock famous subguns like the Thompson, PPSH, Sten, MP40, Uzi, and so on.

    What others should know:

Read the manual, have plenty of CO2's and BB's, and oil. Reactive targets will make your day.

    Things I liked:

6-rd burst mode in full-auto is the best feature of this machine-gun. It spray BBs in this mode & 6 round is quit enough. This gun is surprising accurate. I thought automatic guns are very hard to accurately fire. However it is not. The two CO2 capsules makes this gun very powerful. There is a key to screw & unscrew the CO2 which is very useful & CO2 housing in the grip is very nice. Loading the gun is easy. You have a room on top of the gun to keep BBs & you load the gun by pulling the BB magazine. The blowback action is so - so.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing. Maybe a bit change the BB Loading.

    What others should know:

    No.

    Things I liked:

Realistic full auto fire - it feels and sounds like a suppressed MAC-10 9mm. Dual Co2 cartridges hold their charge well between sessions, if you save any gas. This is not too likely, the fun factor and wow effect is profound.

    Things I would have changed:

The reservoir is large, but overfilling it will result in difficult filling of the 30 round magazine, which is tricky even at best. I don't feel particularly good shaking any gun, even with the safety on, and especially if it needs to be held in awkward positions to accomplish the task. Perhaps a larger opening between the reservoir and magazine might help. Also, the gun will fire even if the magazine is empty, resulting in loss of gas. A simple magazine follower to trigger disconnect would help.

    What others should know:

In spite of my nit-picking, this gun is a solid hit - more fun than eating breakfast. Buy lots of Co2 and BBs, and don't forget to get some Pellgun Oil to keep everything working smoothly. If, like me, you always wanted a Drozd, but not the price, this is definitely your next toy. Accuracy? Bah! This gun is about walking the rounds onto that target sitting on the ground. Want more? Mount an inexpensive laser sight, zero it in, and just try to wipe that grin off your face.
