What is the Amperage requirement for this compressor. My highest Amp outlet is a 25 Amp dedicated outlet. Will this be sufficient?

    • Carl from USA:

That 20 or so amp load is is being measured on the DC side of the internal power supply. The AC draw is only going to be a fraction of that in the neighbor hood of 5 to 7 amps. So a 25That 20 amps load is is being measured on the DC side of the internal power supply. The AC load is only going to be a fraction of that in the neighbor hood of 5 to 7 amps. So a 20 amp circuit should be fine. amp circuit should be fine.

    • Mark from USA:

The Nomad can draw 30AMPs max. We have 20 AMP circuts and have never tripped a breaker. The 25AMP circut is good. If the Nomad gets dry the amp load will go up.

Tyler in a pinch (say you've used up all of the filters) could you use a hair dryer to dry out a filter for further use?

would super lube 100cst be acceptable or microlubal 200?

      • Tyler from USA:

You'd want to look at the ingredients. The manufacturer calls for silicone lubricant only.

    • Sylvain from Canada asked:

HI, in The Air Venturi NOMAD II Portable Air Compressor video,Tyler is using a lever action rifle for a few second at about 10 min. 40 sec.of the video. Can you tell me the model of this rifle, and if I can find it on your web site. thank you in advance for a response. Sylvain.

    • Andrew from USA asked:

Will this fill a 62Ci 3000 PSI paintball tank from 0 PSI and turn off automatically when it reaches 3000 PSI?

      • Tyler from USA:

If you set the auto-shut off at 3000 psi....then yes....just keep a close eye on time. I would recommend filling in two segments, fill to 1500 psi and then let the unit cool and then from 1500 to 3000 psi to finish it off. Just make sure the run times are around 15 minutes or so and then stop.

    • John from USA asked:

How long is the battery (DC) cable.

      • Tyler from USA:

        Right around 60"

    • Scot from USA asked:

How many watts does this use on 110v?

      • Tyler from USA:

Seen different numbers on the few units I've worked with, 500-800 Watts is the range I've been seeing.

    • Matt from USA asked:

Curious why it uses such a small filter to take care of the moisture etc of the air. Appears grossly inadequately to remove the moisture from compressed air.

      • Tyler from USA:

It has an internal filter as well as the external filters that you see in the image. You can certainly add another filter to the end of the hose if you want to, but that will add additional time to your fills and this unit is made to fill PCPs only in relatively short times.

    • Dragon from USA asked:

What happen to the first 1 the Air Venturi Nomad 4500 PSI Portable Compressor?

      • Tyler from USA:

With the introduction of the Nomad 2, it has been discontinued.

    • John from USA asked:

How many years of service could I expect to get out of this, as a casual PCP shooter?

      • Tyler from USA:

That depends on how often it is used. Of course, should any seals go, they are replaceable. So there's no reason it wouldn't work for years and years to come. If you keep up with maintenance and keep the unit lubricated, it should last quite a while.

    • omegaweapon from USA asked:

What is maximum run time on this compressor? Say can it run 30 mins before it needs to be shut off to cool down?

      • Tyler from USA:

I wouldn't recommend any longer than 20 minutes on a continuous run, less if you can help it

    • Michael from USA asked:

Just got my Nomad II. It did not come with any silicone oil. Just an empty bottle. Should it have come with some? What silicone oil should be used? Do they have it at Home Depot to get locally? Can I use Crosman RMCOIL Silicone Chamber Oil?

      • Kendall from USA:

Not sure if Id use the 3&1 all temp silicon oil, I bought some but it looked @ it & looked up the SD sheet, & think its more a petroleum base oil than silicone, if some one does use it, please let everyone know how it works for you, I ended up buying Armasil 100% high temp silicon oil, I paid about $20 for 2oz, but want to make sure that I use whats best for this product, just wanted to put this out there,

      • Tyler from USA:

        Yes, looks okay to me

      • Michael from USA:

        Is this ok: https://www.homedepot.com/p/3-IN-ONE-4-oz-All-Temp-Silicone-Drip-Oil-120008/300719538

      • Tyler from USA:

The empty bottle is correct. Crosman Silicone oil is fine. If you can find pure silicone oil locally, that would be okay as well.

    • Robert from USA asked:

What are top off times for Airforce 500cc rifles? 1500 to 3000 or 2000 to 3000?

      • Tyler from USA:

Let's see, if it fills a Texan in 17 mins from 0-3000, then you're looking at around 8 min 30 sec for 1500-3000 and probably 5-6 mins for 2000-3000

    • Clint from USA asked:

Can this be used to fill a Benjamin 90 cubic inch tank?

      • Tyler from USA:

It's not recommended for filling larger tanks. If you filled in 10-15 minute increments, it could be done

    • Richard from USA asked:

What silicone oil is reccomended? Weight/brand

    • Bernard from USA asked:

Other than the AC power, what are the differences between the Nomad and Nomad Ii?

      • Tyler from USA:

The Nomad II has all of the features of the Nomad I built into one unit. On top of that, the II has a different on/off system that allows you to keep the unit plugged without the louder fan system running all the time. It also has an on board LED light set that will help if you want to run the unit off of a car battery at night, and it just looks plain cool.

    • Robert from USA asked:

What happened to the 11/5/2018 arrival date?

      • Tyler from USA:

        It has been pushed back

    • Jiahuan from USA asked:

Does the fitting fit an FX Impact fill plug out of the box? I know when I bought my impact, it came with its own quick connect fitting and the one on that came with my air tank was too short and it was very hard to take it off the gun after I filled it.

      • Tyler from USA:

I believe any FX retailer would have it, PA doesn't sell FX, so I don't think you'll find it here.

      • Jiahuan from USA:

Do you guys sell this extension? Do you work for Pyramid Air? If so can I get your contact information?

      • Tyler from USA:

You would still want/need an extension to get the QD fitting on/off easily. But it will fit the male foster on the gun.

    • shahrooz from USA asked:

Can you use this to fill the guppy tanks?

      • Tyler from USA:

It's not recommended for filling larger tanks, so it depends on the size of yours. Though if you ran it for 10-15 minute intervals, it should be okay.

    • Dakota from USA asked:

Would this air up my 480cc bottle on my crown???

      • Tyler from USA:

        Yes

    • Claudio from USA asked:

Hi. I love overseas and use a 220v outlet. Will I have to buy a voltage converter or just the plug adapter?

      • Tyler from USA:

        Just the plug adapter.

    • Thomas from USA asked:

Will this work to fill either or seneca double shot, umarex hammer?

      • Tyler from USA:

        Yes

    • Stan from USA asked:

How long to fill a Umarex Gauntlet?

      • Tyler from USA:

        From empty, around 7-8 minutes

    • Jeff from USA asked:

Can you fill a bottle with this little thing?

      • Tyler from USA:

It is not recommended for filling SCBA or SCUBA tanks

    • Paul from USA asked:

What are the advantages of the Nomad 2 over the first Nomad? The descriptions say the fill times are the same.

      • Tyler from USA:

There are a few differences. The big one is that the power supply (inverter) is built into the Nomad II. So no extra large parts to carry around. The Nomad II also has the LED lights built in which are a nice touch and a electrical shut off so you don't have to unplug and plug it back in when you want to run it (when using a wall outlet). And it comes with a nice carry bag that everything fits into perfectly.

    • Chevota from USA asked:

What's the difference vs the other Nomad? Does this simply have the power supply built in? For an extra $100 seems like there should be more?

      • Tyler from USA:
