Can a longer barrel be fitted by removing the 14.5 inch stock barrel? If so, where can such barrel be ordered, the length and if a moderator can be installed, or would that be a seperste step carried out by a different business? Thank you in advance.
That would be a custom job. We do not machine barrel blanks. Nor are there longer barrels from Ataman.
Could this shoot slugs?
Yes it can. For example, the H&N Piledriver at 21 grains would diminish the velocity to approximately 803 fps, but would provide more kinetic energy (fpe) because the slug would be in the barrel longer to accelerate fromm the expanding gas at its base; although, diminishing, but still expanding. The 14.5 inch barrel is too short for the coefficient of the barrel frictional forces to overcome the momentum buildup by the acceleration energy, which is ashame to have such a short barrel for so much capacity.
If size appropriately, sure. Though I doubt it will produce the velocity needed to stabilize them
Understand that is is shrouded. Is the shroud end threaded to accept an adapter and to add a moderator?
Yes, but be advised, getting the end cap of mine was a chore....couple of sets if needle nose pliers to fit into the two holes and unscrew the end cap. However once off, the DonnyFL adapter for perfectly and the DONNYFL sump makes the gun very quiet.
Yes it is threaded. DonnyFL makes a nice adapter that would allow for a more standard threaded "extension" to be added.
I have an Ataman AP16 .22 caliber pistol. Are the magazines used in the AP16 the same as the BP17?
Looks like the end cap of the rifle could be removed? If so, do you know how it is threaded?
Yes, it is threaded. I do not have the size, but DonnyFL makes an adapter you should check out.
Can we add silencer?
The barrel is in fact shrouded, but an adapter can be fabricated and further silencing capabilities can be added via all the usual means: DonnyFL, Neil Clague, etc.
The barrel is already shrouded.
