  • Robert from USA asked:

What type of scope rings do you need for .25 cal Marauder?

    • Tennyson from USA asked:

I am assuming the BP2564W is the Gen 2 Marauder? I am wondering when they began a second generation of this rifle?

      • Mark from USA:

The 2nd generation Marauder has been in production for 4-5 years.

    • Benjamin from USA asked:

I'm thinking of buying this rifle in .22, which are the best slugs with a crosman barrel?

      • Mark from USA:

For that information look at the airgun forums. Airgun Nation,Airgun Warriors, and Gateway to Airguns.

    • nathaniel from USA asked:

How can I be sure that I received the Lothar Walther Barrel. I do not see a difference in the model number on the rifle and I do not see any markings on the barrel.

      • Mark from USA:

The product label on the box end will have a "LW" in the product code.

    • Chris from USA asked:

Can the Marauder shoot slugs? If so can they be shot through the repeater or is it one at a time?

      • Mark from USA:

Yes ,The Marauder can shoot slugs. Some may fit in the mag. Lighter ones may fit.

    • BBWOLF from USA asked:

Hi What is more noise cal.22 O cal. 25

      • Mark from USA:

        25 cal

    • Lester from USA asked:

What date did crosman stop using green mountain barrels on their 25 cal.?

      • Mark from USA:

        mid 2018

    • Randall from USA asked:

My Benjamin Marauder is very low in noise already and has excess power for most pests. A match gun's 500 fps or even less (i.e., pistols & B guns) is more than adequate, experience shows. If you tried, about how many turns of whatever reduced power and noise even more than the factory-setting low?

      • Randall from USA asked:

Interested in setting the Benjamin to about 500 fps to get EXTREMELY quiet pest control in a quiet neighborhood. Yes, it's pretty quiet already, but want utter silence or so. What settings and results?

        • Mark from USA:

Even at 750 FPS the Marauder is very quiet, You could shoot at a higher power.much more effective.

      • ricky from USA asked:

What gauge can I use in old Benjamin air gun that normally use 20 gauge. Cant find 20 gauge anywhere

      • carlos from USA asked:

Can u used a car air compressor to put air on the rifle

        • Mark from USA:

You need a compressor that generates 3000 PSI. to fill an airgun.

      • Patrick from USA asked:

What is the twist rate on a green mountain 25cal Benjamin Marauder barrel?

        • Mark from USA:

The Green mountain 25 cal barrel is no longer available.

      • Paul from USA asked:

Why dose my .22 only go up too 2000 psi ? I have had it for 6 years and never had the problem, Im still on point with my accuracy .

        • Francisco from USA asked:

What is the inside diameters of a Maurader cylinder??

          • Chris from USA asked:

Question for BMOD .22 owners. What is the longest shot you have made with this rifle?

            • Kurt from USA:

I have shot ketchup and hot sauce packet, bottle caps and even a thumb tack at 75ish yards.

          • tyree from USA asked:

Can anyone recommend a red dot scope for the Benjamin marauder .22 air rifle.

            • Stephen from USA asked:

Is the Lothar Walther barrel any louder than the crosman barrel?

              • Mark from USA:

The different barrels have no effect on the firing noise.

            • Edward from USA asked:

What pellets are accurate in this gun. I have some that i have to use force to seat in the barrel. maurader .25

              • Todd from USA asked:

I understand Benjamin no longer uses green mountain barrels for 25 cal. Is that correct? Does anyone know where to get a GM .25 barrel or a .25 Lothar Walther barrel?

                • Tyler from USA:

Yes that is correct. They make the barrels in house now and have for at least 6 months. The fact I haven't heard many complaints on the .25 in that time means they must be doing a pretty good job too. You can definitely get a LW barrel direct from LW, but you will need to machine it or have it machined to fit the gun

              • Matt from USA asked:

Does the .25 caliber still use the Green Mountain Barrel?

                • Tyler from USA:

                  No

              • Jom from USA asked:

Can co2 be used instead of air

                • Matt from USA:

No you can't use CO2 instead of air.

              • SALARIAK from USA asked:

What adapter should I buy to use it with a Hill MK4 pump? Is it included with the rifle? Thanks

              • nick from USA asked:

I have a Marauder for a couple years approximately 2500 shots. Today after several shots it started to malfunction. I repressureized to 2900 lbs but still it only puffs a small amount of air at each cycle. I reviewed the owners manual but there is not a troubleshooting section. What is my best next step?

                • Tyler from USA:

Could be a few things. You sure there is not a pellet stuck in the barrel? If not, then I'd give Crosman or the PA tech department a call, they can help you trouble shoot.

              • James from USA asked:

I just received my .25 caliber Marauder and have not charged or fired it yet. Is it normal for the barrel to float inside the front barrel band? Mine is certainly not tight.

                • Tyler from USA:

                  Yes

              • John from USA asked:

what pellet weight are you using to specify 900fps? (25 cal)

                • Jason from USA asked:

Can you shoot single pellets in the 25 caliber Maurader or do you have to use the magazine's

                • Mitch from USA asked:

I have a 4500 psi carbon fiber ninja tank with a 3000 psi regulator on it. When I try and fill my MRod it. The gun will only fill to 2200 psi, any ideas why?

                  • Tyler from USA:

It's possible that the carbon fiber tank only has 2200 psi in it or the gauge on your Marauder is messed up. Unless your regulator is outputting really low. Any of those three are possible.

                • Jmmy from USA asked:

Is it okay to cock the Benjamin Marauder and leave it cocked until I'm ready to shoot during a hunt?

                  • Mitch from USA:

I do this every shot when on my weekly hunts for starlings. The shots are not affected by this as well.

                  • Tyler from USA:

                    Yes

                • Arash from USA asked:

Does anyone know where I can get a factory regulator for the .25 Maurader? I know that they have it installed on the ones in the Custom shope, but what if I want to put it on my own Maurauder?

                  • Tyler from USA:

I have not seen them available for sale through Crosman. Though I do believe there are a few places you can get one. A quick google search should return a few places.

                • Dell from USA asked:

I would like to mount an ATN X-Sight II 5-20x on a Benjamin Maurader .22. Anyone have a link to a proper adapter for this sight to the dovetail on the rifle that puts this sight in a good location for eye contact?

                  • shawn from USA asked:

How do I release the air pressure from my Benjamin marauder. I just received my new gun from pyramid air and there was no tool to release the pressure?

                  • Allen from USA asked:

Are the Marauder Pressure Tubes interchangeable between Gen l and Gen ll rifles?

                    • Paul from USA asked:

What fps and fpe will the Benjamin marauder shoot with a 30 grain h & n pile-driver

                      • Douglas from USA:

My .22 cal, with original factory settings, @ 2700 psi shooting 33.956gr jsb match exact jumbo beast, averages 557 fps and 24fpe

Will h and n rabit magnum 2 work in the marauder clips

                      • Don B from USA:

                        Absolutely

                    • gregory from USA asked:

                      Is this the regulated version?

                      • Stanley from USA:

                        No.

                    • Skinnymitch from USA asked:

What is the correct weight and length of the Benjamin Marauder they say the manual gives the wrong info

                      • Douglas from USA:

Pyramyd lists wt as 8.2lbs and overall length as 42.8"

                      • Val from USA:

Pyramyd has correct specs published on the Specifications tab: Benjamin Marauder Air Rifle...

                    • Chris from USA asked:

Anybody found a picatinny/weaver adjuster that clears the magazine? I have a NV scope I want to use but it does not attach with scope rings. It has to fit flush on a rail system.

                      • Eduardo from USA:

Don't make the smae mistake I did, this rifle does not have a picatinny or weaver rail...it is a dovetail. Clear the mag is not the problem, but the size of your lens. Go with HI mount.

                    • dave from USA asked:

What type of sealer should I use on the quick disconnect fittings on the marauder

                      • Val from USA:

No sealer is needed. Quick disconnect comes with an o-ring inside that seals.

                    • peter from USA asked:

Is there a recommended picatinny or weaver rail where the holes and size line up properly? I'd like to add a red dot.

                      • David from USA:

Good thing about the Marauder is you don't really need an extra rail. The marauder has a dovetail, and Pyramyd Air offers many good Red-Dot scopes with dovetails. Hawke has a good one, Hawke Sport Optics Red Dot.... We used these at the NRA Show in Atlanta recently, and they preformed amazing. There really is no need to go out and buy an Aimpoint that's going to set you back $400. Spend $45 and get a great Hawke Red-Dot that will do the job at a major fraction of the cost.

                    • todd from USA asked:

How does the .25 do at 50, 75, and 100yds.

                      • Mitch from USA:

At 50 yards I can almost stack the pellets. At 75 yards the spread starts to show but the pattern is unbelievable. I sort through my pellets for long shots out on the farm for those pesky starlings. The furthest confirmed kill was at 116 yards. This gun still leaves me speechless with the accuracy. I use the .25 cal and honestly never regretted my purchase. 25 yards I have to aim at the feet, 50 yards is dead center and 80 yards I have to hold over 3 mil dots. 100 yards is for s***s and giggles.

                      • David from USA:

As with any other Airgun, the farther the distance, the worse your grouping will be. At the annual Pyramyd Air Cup, I saw a few professionals use the Marauder at 50-75 yards and did well. Past that, you really need to consider the outside conditions, as your pellet will be greatly affected. Using a good quality pellet (PY-P-721) will greatly improve your grouping quality, especially at longer distances.

                    • Chris from USA asked:

Using .22 cal and EXACT JUMBO HEAVY 18gr at 2600-2800 PSI is this powerful enough to humanely put down a large feral tom cat (est. 15 pounds)? Never used on anything bigger than rats and squirrels myself want to make sure I can cleanly dispatch first.

                      • michael from USA:

                        Absolutely

                    • mario from USA asked:

What's the difference between a marauder.25 gen2 2 years back and the new one.

                      • Val from USA:

It's still the same Gen2 mrod

                    • Bradley from USA asked:

Can you purchase the Marauder without the cheek riser? Does Benjamin still make that option version?

                      • Val from USA:

No, the only 2 options are this stock and synthetic. Both have cheek riser.

                    • ZARIF from Uzbekistan asked:

Can i pump this rifle by cheap hand pump...? That pump can pump cars

                      • Mitch from USA:

My 5 cents, I used a air pump for some time and it makes a old man or woman out of you quickly. The pumps are expensive and don't last very long unless very maintained. Once you get roughly 2,500 psi you need to almost put all your weight on the pump to squeeze a very little amount of air in your rifle. My poor wife weighs 120 lbs and she can't not fill the MRod.

                      • ANTHONY from USA:

No...car tires are 20-60 psi depending on vehicle.

                      • Stanley from USA:

You will need a high pressure pump made to reach at least 3000 psi. They cost 200 to 300 dollars.

                    • John from USA asked:

What do I need to fill a Marauder from my scuba tank with a DIN valve not a K valve?

                    • Caleb from USA asked:

Could there be potential for a Marauder in a big bore caliber? I'm just curious, if there is then I belive it could be every successfull

                      • Gerald from USA:

30 & 35 cal would be nice...this guy said that it was in the conversation abt another big bore from benjiman..he did say crossman read our topics and things to improve there guns

                    • james from Philippines asked:

Can pyramidair deliver benjamin marauder in philippines without hustle if ever i get one?

                      • Richard from Philippines:

No. You can't import air rifles or scopes into the Philippines. I had to go to a gun shop in Manila to buy mine. Expect to pay over double the cost as the same rifle in the States.

                    • DougFNC from USA asked:

Are there still issues with the .22 marauder barrels?

                      • Tyler from USA:

Haven't heard of any mass issues for a few years now

                    • Iamscotticus from USA asked:

What is the minimum ring height choice for a 1" scope tube to clear the magazine?

                      • Stanley from USA:

Medium rings will work for scopes up to 44mm , for anything bigger go with high rings.

                    • jjames from USA asked:

Can someone please tell me what is the exact outside diameter of the maintube?

                      • Douglas from USA:

                        The shrouded barrel is .877.

                      • Stanley from USA:

                        1.275'

                    • John from USA asked:

I've opted to go with a hand pump if i buy this rifle and not a scuba tank due to cost and the idea of a highly explosive item in my house. I'm curious about how many shots i can get from a .22 and .25 marauder before the pressure drops below 2,000 psi, How many pump will it take to pump this gun from 2,000 to 3,000 psi. Please respond with the shots counts of the .22 and .25 calibers separately as i am comparing the two!

                      • John from USA:

On stock settings the .25 gets 16 shots and the .22 gets 32...

                    • HAICHUAN from USA asked:

Is the new 2015 .25cal barrel made by Green Mountain or Crosman?

                      • John from USA:

                        Green Mountain

                    • james from USA asked:

Whats the average fps in 22 jsb 18gr

                      • John from USA:

Probably around 850-860 fps... That is just my educated guess so don't hold me to it.. ;)

                    • William from USA asked:

Using a Hill MK4 hand pump, how many pumps does it take to fill from empty, and how many to top it back up after 16 shots?

                      • Jesmanuel from USA:

I suggest that never go below 2000psi. From 3000 psi to 2000 psi there are 16 shoots. From 2000psi to 3000psi take like 50 to 60 pumps. It take like 10 pump to get the pump gauge to 2000 them 50 to 60 to reach 3000psi.

                      • David from USA:

I have a .25 cal marauder. from empty to fill not exactly sure but have 16 shots about 50 pumps.

                    • Ary from Indonesia asked:

If I want to buy air rifle. Can you send it to indonesia

                      • Val from USA:

                        no

                    • KHAN from Pakistan asked:

In this price what you will send .

                      • David from USA:

This is just the rifle itself, no scope or sling. Comes with manual and one magazine.

                    • KHAN from Pakistan asked:

will you send a scope ????????? and silencer

                      • Mitch from USA:

The MRod comes with a built shroud which greatly reduced the sound. The big noise this gun makes is the infamonous loud ping which can also be dampened with a depinger.

                      • Val from USA:

no silencers available. Pyramyd cannot ship scopes to Pakistan

                    • Blake from USA asked:

Is this rifle set up where you can put a silencer on it?

                      • Kevin from USA:

there are additional LDC moderators available from other sources that can be installed on to the existing shroud.

                      • Lionel J from USA:

The Marauder already has a "silencer" on it.

                    • Randall from USA asked:

I have a marauder 25 caliber and I bought a oxygen bottle says your gorilla air and I can't get the air in the bottle it says 2600 psi and the rifle shows 1600 psi but it won't fill it

                      • Tyler from USA:

First off, if it's an oxygen bottle, you will want to discontinue using it for anything but oxygen. But you SHOULD NEVER fill a PCP airgun with oxygen. If you are in fact using high pressure air (breathing air, not oxygen) then either your tank gauge or rifle gauge is off.

                    • Terry from USA asked:

Is there any way to find out the bore and groove diameter of the .25 Marauder?

                      • Luis from USA:

You can "slug" your barrel. First, remove the barrel from the breech. Load a pellet into the breech, then using a wooden dowel thin enough to fit in the bore, push the pellet through the barrel until it comes out the muzzle end. Use a micrometer to measure the marks the lands and grooves have pressed into the pellet. The deeper "channel" type marks are the lands. Note these numbers down for future reference.

I purchased the marauder with the bundle and the rings came with the scope; they do however seem to wide to mount on the existing rail; do I need another rail or different rings; I paid 11.99 for the ones that should have worked; any answer would be appreciated

                      • Val from USA:

bundle includes extra rings, that should work. If you did not get them, you got shorted. Call Pyramyd Air and they will help.

                    • David from USA asked:

Does the Maruader measure out the same pressure per shot or does it vary as the pressure in the tank varies?

                      • Adin from USA:

Every pcp rifle vary when pressure goes under curtain psi. My rifle is under 2000psi so i refill it to 2900psi

                    • micheal from USA asked:

what do you recommend, 22 or 177

                      • Mitch from USA:

I own the .25 cal for a couple of reasons. The wind doesn't take a great affect on pellet flight like the .177. I hunt starlings occasionally and my most common distance shot is 75 yards, I don't normally miss. The 22 cal would give you more shots per fill and can meet you in the middle on the weight. Anyone who says the .25 cal is inaccurate has never gave it a chance. All in all I would recommend the . 22 cal. Hope this info helps

                      • Aldrin from USA:

.25 is much better. Like said, .22 gets effected by wind. Also if you're hunting small game and up, .25 takes down the game much more effectively.

                      • Fahir from USA:

.22 will outperform .25 caliber...just use heavier pellets, such as Rabbit magnum, 26 grains... .22 will give you flatter trajectory line than .25... The .25 caliber would be a good step up, if you could fire it, at higher velocity...1500 or 2000 FPS...than, it would make sense going to .25 and shooting the distances up to 300 yards...however, gun itself is not yet developed that far...if you go with .25 you're getting 900 FPS...you're lowering your velocity, and power down...the resistance of atmospheric pressure is much greater for .25 as well...instead, you're better of using heavier grains pellets in .22...your velocity is up to 1000 FPS... The distance wise .22 would be much better option...

                      • James-M. from USA:

.177 shoots flater and is more accurate.

                      • al from USA:

Go with the .25 wind affects it far less and they put higher quality barrels in them

                      • Adin from USA:

.22 is the middle caliber so it will be strong for more applications than .177 and not far from .25

                    • Christopher from USA asked:

You mention testing shows most accurate at 2600psi. How many shots at this level?

                      • ANTHONY from USA:

Your mileage may vary depending on pellet choice and distance you need be accurate at. Information like that isn't specific to every gun and shooter. You need to test you and your gun to get your own numbers. Me and my Mrod settle in at 2400 psi. I still charge to 3100 though because i try to get as many shots on a fill as possible. The difference in accuracy is small between 1000-3100 at 40yds is small in my experience.

Is the gun stock or do you want to tune it

With a 4-14x44mm scope, would I need medium or tall mounts?

                      • micheal from USA:

medium. if you get tall you would need to angle the scope down, meaning shiming. you also have the chance to bend the scope, if you shim.

what is the best pellet for the .177?

                      • Allan from USA:

You need to shoot several, but for me I have detuned my rifle and it loves the JSB Heavy (10.34). Can easily hit .68 paintballs at 40+ yards all day long (from a rest).

                      • Harold from USA:

I am sure it can compete with your bt65, i get 8 shoots the size of your thumbnail at 50yrds and take birds out to a 100yrds with my .25 Marauder!

what is the best pellet for the .22?

                      • Fahir from USA:

I would strongly recommend, H & N Rabbit Magnum 26 grains...if you decide to go with this pellet, you have to sight in your gun to - 0.50"[email protected] yards, this will give you the perfect trajectory line of a pellet...every time you change from one pellet to a different one, it would be a good idea to sight in your gun for that pellet...gun itself is highly accurate...

                      • Cory from USA:

That would depend on what you are looking to do with it. I would suggest the H&N Baracuda Hunter Extreme for hunting. For general use I would suggest the H&N Field Target Trophy or JSB Diabalo Exact Heavy.

Big discrepency between Air Force pump gauge and Maurader guage.....pump says 2600psi and gun guage is in red (over 3000). Asked this question on chat without answer and called Benjamin and they didn't know. Question: shooting a 14.3 grain pellet(Premier) at 2600pse, what should I chonograph velocity wise??

                      • Tyler from USA:

A discrepancy is typical. The velocity will depend largely on your settings. Generally we see fresh out of the box Marauders running about 900-925 fps with 14.3 grain pellets.

                    • Jacob from USA asked:

i just got my marauder and the bolt is only functioning about halfway back before being stopped, not allowing the magazine to be put in. There is no air in the gun right now. Is this normal?

                      • Fahir from USA:

If you cannot insert your magazine, the barrel is not seated wright... You can correct this, by loosening two small set screws, at the top of the breach...move your barrel slightly forward, insert the magazine, and then push the barrel back until it touches the magazine...than, tighten the two set screws...your barrel is protruding to much out of the breach, and it's blocking magazine to be seated wright...

                      • Jerry from USA:

Pull back harder on the bolt, you should hear a 2nd "click"

Or if the desired fill pressure is low. I only weigh 150lbs but I have no difficulties filling mine up to 2500 psi

                      • Dan the Man from USA:

I wouldn't recommend using argon. High pressure air or nitrogen work best.

My new .25 Marauder II is everything they said it would be and then some. One issue though. The hand pump and rifle gauge do not jive with each other. 3000psi on the pump is 3300 psi on the gun. Which should I trust? Dan

                      • al from USA:

Mine does the same thing trust the gun always but mine says 3000 on the pump the gun says 2600

                      • holl0918 from USA:

trust the gun, it is more accurate. the pump measured\spressure in the hose, wich is going to be more than the gun's larger tube.

                      • Kentucky Airgunner from USA:

Depends on how long you have owned it. If more than 30 days, but still within warranty period, contact the manufacturer for service. If less than 30 days contact Pyramyd Air for return information. If out of warranty, I would take it to a qualified service center to have repaired.

Small game, such as squirrel, rabbit, raccoon, opossum, groundhog (woodchuck), skunk, fox, mink etc. Never shoot at any animal at distances greater than you can consistently shoot 5 out of 5 shots in a one inch group.

I've had mine for several years. I've shot it down to 500 psi to chrony various pellets and then put it back in the case. Sometimes I haven't touched the rifle for several months with that chsrge. No problems after several years of doing that. I would NEVER leave it empty.

What is the LOP ( length of pull) for this gun? That is, what is the distance from the trigger to the shoulder/(butt pad). Mine is 12.5" and have found that for me, optimal accuracy is never achieved at any LOP over 13". Trimming the wooden stock appears not to be an option, as the adjustable comb goes too far back and the result would be rather ugly to say the least.

                      • Jerry from USA:

Lop is probably closer to the 13 and 1/2 mark

                      • Val from USA:

Yes, this is the new 2014 model identical (as far as specs go) to synthetic version, except for the weight. Here they are: New Mrods compared side by side.

Why is there such a huge price difference between this gun and the Air Arms S510 Thumbhole PCP Air Rifle? Which is better and why?

                      • Fahir from USA:

The marauder is currently, the best pcp air rifle on the market... The most important reason for that is, simplicity of a design...less movable parts means, less breaking...this is AK-47 of the air gun industry... It's very simple, and it always works...and it's easy to customize it...marauder is also TDR...take down rifle, it can be separated into two pieces, by removing only one bolt, at the bottom of the stock...

                      • al from USA:

I've had mine about a month I think I shot it stock then thought I wanted to up grade it pulled the whole thing apart put it all back together the only thing I didn't pull apart was the air cylinder these are simple simple guns to work on let me tell you needless to say I only oiled it up real good not to much though set the hammer preload to 6 turns clockwise and hammer stroke 12 turns counter clockwise and metering screw to 5.5 turns out it shoots like a dream now

                      • david from USA:

features and quality. The Marauder is a great entry level PCP rifle, that may require some upgrades to make it really good mechanically. Material wise it will not be as good. The AAS510 has both out of the box and should not require extra upgrades/$$ to be a really good rifle. Like a Kitchen Aid appliance vs a General Electric......

                      • Nadav from Israel:

i could get into details and specs but generly speaking the Marauder is more powerful and is cheaper.
