Is the receiver metal or plastic

    • Stanley from USA:

  • Jeff from USA asked:

The bolt or slide you pull back to load and the cock the gun seems to be excessively stiff and takes all I've got to click it back to load. Is this typical? Is there a way to make it easier to cock?

    • Stanley from USA:

It is typical most are stiff but the more rounds fired it might loosen up.

  • Keithleong from USA asked:

can you use plastic bb bullets

    • Stanley from USA:

      No regular bbs only.

  • Steven from USA asked:

Do you load the pellets on the top of the receiver? If so, how difficult is it to load pellets with a scope mounted on the receiver?

    • Gary from USA:

I have a 3-7x20 scope on my 2100B, Easiest way to load pellets with a scope is pull back bolt to open chamber tip the barrel muzzle down when loading about a 30-40degree angle pellets are naturally Nose heavy, I drop them in from the side they always land in the right direction doing it this way. Try dropping them in once you practice doing it that way it will be very easy.

    • Stanley from USA:

Pellets load on the right side top. Loading pellets might be a adventure.

  • Brett from USA asked:

Back in the late 70's, I had the Crossman 766. Is this model the same with an upgraded front sight?

    • Dan from USA:

Yes, they reincarnated it! I'm sure a lot has changed internally compared to the 766.

  • Joe41ms14 from USA asked:

What .177 pellets would you recommend with this gun? I have the predecessor to this gun (766 Phase I). So far had good success with JSB Exact Express 4.52mm but wanted to see if this gun liked some other brand better. I know all guns are different, just looking for directional info. Thanks

    • Stanley from USA:

My daisy 880 likes the crosman premiers 10.5 grain in the cardboard box , very accurate so far. JSB pellet have a reputation for being a good choice for accuracy.

  • Jeff from USA asked:

Where is the air intake for the piston? Should I put a drop of chamber oil in there?

    • Dan the Man from USA:

According to Crosman, you need to: "Put 1 drop of Crosman 0241 Pellgunoil® on the pump pivot pins and the pump cup in the pump mechanism." every 250 shots.
