I just got my new flash qe,i cant figure out how to fill it with my pump..there is a small rubber piece that pushes out, but then what? there really is not much on this..please explain..
What kind of pump do you have? You need to attach the fill probe (cylindrical brass piece with two orings on it and a hole between them) to your pump and then insert it into the hole on the end of the air cylinder. The user manual for the gun should show/describe this process.
Anyone find a good piccatiny mount bipod for this rifle. I'm also interested in any thoughts to attach a bipod but also a sling. Any help with what adapters or attachments would work with this rifle to have a bipod and a sling stud/ strap loop also on the front of the Flash? I guess a sling would attach to an adapter in the front on the piccatiny and maybe Velcro attachment at rear?
Most of the UTG bipods have picatinny attachments. I like this one: UTG Bipod, SWAT/Combat Profile, ... Then you could attach a sling swivel like this behind it on the rail: JB Unicorn Sling Mount With...
Has anyone attached a sling? If so any links to types appreciated.
I just got the flash 25 I shot It a few times in temperatures about 65 degrees .Then I took it out at about 19 degrees and it was very weak in the cold is this normal?
Do you have any chrony numbers or data to verify that? The cold can certainly have some impact but it's usually not too significant.
Am I supposed to feel air by my hand when I shoot my flash?
That depends....which hand and where is it placed?
what height scope rings are required?
Required....that will depend on what scope you are mounting. I would recommend high rings as that will ensure you clear the magazine and the objective end of the scope clears the barrel shroud
i am ready to buy this now,but i need to know the length of pull? need 13.25 or close.
Does the Flash have a metal, or plastic trigger?
Metal, but guard is plastic
Im looking into getting pcp airguns, what kind of pump is required for this?
I would recommend the Hill pump, the fill adapter for the Hatsan will screw right into the end of the pump hose: Air Venturi MK4 by Hill...
Can I put a sling on my hatsan flash
Yes but there are no sling mounts so you'd need to use some type of non swivel sling
I have. There are various ways to do it, but here's what I did. I put an AR type tactical nylon and Velcro band, that has a ring to attach the sling clip, behind the pillar that is midway in the rear stock cut out, and wrapped it nice and tight, so that it doesn't slip. Then, I put an offset picatinny sling post mount on the pic rail that lives in the underside of the forearm. I use an inexpensive, adjustable tactical type sling on many of my rifles, because of their ease of installation, and versatility. They also wear extremely well and are very lightweight. They're also pretty darn comfortable, and allow you to use the sling to stabilize offhand shooting by wrapping the sling around your forearm. You must use a picatinny adapter on the guns forearm to mount any sling, because of the thickness of the stock polymer. I'm pretty sure, that unless you are comfortable with working polymer, that the buttstock probably cannot be drilled in such a way as to prevent cracking, and localized failure of the polymer. That said, why bother? The adapters look fine, and do not alter the stock in any way, so resale is unaffected.
I just purchased a Hatsan Flash in 22 cal from here. I have watched many a video about the mag probs with this gun. Now Hatsan has redesigned the mags & from all the newer videos i have watched the loading probs have been solved. So my Q is: does this gun come with the updated mags or am i going to go thru Hatsan to get the newer mags (u can tell the diff. cause the new mags r RED) Thanks Guys.
Received my Flash 22 cal 2day (Oct 3rd) boy am i pleasantly surprised with this gun, not only was it what i was hoping 4 in my 1st PCP gun the build quality in this price range i feel is exceptional, & it came with the NEW & IMPROVED mags (the RED 1s) NICE job Hatsan so i guess i answered my own Q about weather this gun came with the redesigned mags IT DOES!!!!.
I'm new to PCP guns, this is my first. Can I pump it up into the red zone on the gun's gauge? Looks like red begins at 2000 but ad says 2900, is that PSI? I still get confused with that and "bars". Right now I've got it halfway into the red, but concerned heat may increase the pressure if I store a couple days. How can I release air without firing? Also, leaks at the quick connect, will teflon tape do the trick? I don't want to over tighten.
The gun fills to 2900psi which is 200 BAR. Shooting it down via dry firing is the best way. If it leaks from the threads where the QD fitting threads onto the fill probe, yes some teflon tape will help, but first make sure it is tight. Maybe tighten it a little and try again.
I have noticed it is getting harder to insert and remove the fill valve into the rifle when filling with air. Do the o-rings need to be oiled and if so what type of oil would you use to not damage or erode them?
Silicone grease: Hill Hand Pump NLGI 2...
what is the longest pellet the magazine can accommodate? Or will the jsb redesigned monster fit?
H&n long-range barracuda are the biggest pellets I'm using
Does this package come with the Hatsan Scope? Every video it states it came with the scope but don't see it here...
This does not come with a scope, If you click the "bundle and Save" link, there are packages available that you can get to include a scope and mounts.
What case would I need
Not sure if you want a hard or soft case, but check this page out: https://www.pyramydair.com/a/Accessories/Cases/Rifle/29
Can I leave pressure in tank? If so how much psi?
Yes, you should leave pressure in the tank. If you're storing the gun for long periods, I wouldn't recommend full. But maybe 1500-2000 psi. If you're just putting the gun up for a few days, no issues leaving it full
can The power be adjusted internally on this gun
Yes, the hammer spring tension can be adjusted on this gun
What do I need to use a scuba tank with my .25 flash and about how many rifle refills will I get out of a full scuba tank? I'm looking for something easier than a hand pump, but more economical than buying carbon fiber.
A scuba tank with a K-valve would require this fitting: Air Venturi Scuba Tank Yoke... Number of fills depends on both the pressure you fill the gun to, and then the pressure you refill the gun at. Most will fill to 2800-2900 psi and refill when the pressure in the gun drops to 1700-1800 psi. So with that in mind, you'd be looking at 15-20 fills off of a scuba tank filled to 3000 psi. If you can get the tank filled a little higher than that (a lot of dive shops will fill to 3300) then you will get yourself a few more fills.
Can't seem to load a pellet. Mag is seated but when I try ti move the cocking lever forward the pin seems to run into the rubber piece in the magazine.
I found, after watching many vides, reviews on the Hatsan Flash,& many other entry LVL PCPS that they ALL have there faults. The Hatsan Flashs weakspot is there mags, loose fit probs getting the pellet to load in2 the firing chamber. But even so i went ahead & purchesed the Flash from here anyways, cause i watched NEWER videos where Hatsan had redsigined the mag 4 this gun & solved the loading issue. The NEWER mags r RED . some of the newer videos i watch ,the guys said that they E-mailed Hatsan U.S.A. about there prob. & received the new mags as replacement.
What is the diameter of the air tube?
Is there any issue safety systems that prevent loading two pellets in?
No
What is the length of pull?
Is this available without a suppressor system, barrel shroud?
No
The ETA for this rifle was 5/5, then 4/23 which was verified over the phone. Now it says 5/7, but says 5/5 in other spots across the page. Which is it? I've preordered this rifle and am afraid it will be left on my doorstep while I'm away.
@ Brian, you're assuming that the manufacturer gives a reason for the delay. Most of the time when it comes to "soon to be released" items, any hang ups or delays are never explained.
It would be nice if they would send the people who've pre-ordered it an email with some explanation as to why the eta date keeps changing. The date has changed at least five times since I've oredered it.
Okay, well just wondering since each day that passes tends to add an extra day unto the in-stock ETA for some reason. It's near Mid-May now. It's very frustrating.
The last update I was told was early May. That said, you still have options if the rifle were to come in and you weren't in town. You should call the PA customer service dept. and ask if they can assist.
How many shots do you get per fill
On mine I get 30. I have the 25 caliber. I filled rifle several times to make sure count was accurate.
Ditto. . . .15
Good shots, around 15
Can the shroud cap be removed to install an adapter for a LDC?
I guess I'll answer my own question,YES it can! Already installed one, really quit now!
What is the barrel twist rate for the 22 cal version?
I have not checked mine yet but good question, this is just a quess but maybe 1-19 to 120 Will post when I find out
Barrel twist?????
Is the 25 cal louder than the 22cal ?
Very quiet for a .25.
It's possible, but if it is louder, it wont be by much
Ok,,........so when is this going to be in stock. I've been waiting on this since the shot show. I'm wanting to buy my first pcp, and it seems like the date keeps getting pushed back on this. What's going on with the in stock date? I'm about to buy a stormrider.
In stock now 5/25/18 Received .25
I'm pretty sure the date has been early May for a while now.
Does it have alot of recoil ?
None whatsoever.
No
The description says it includes quick fill nozzle. Is this the piece that attaches to my compressor, or do they mean the nozzle that's attached to the air tank. This is my first pcp and I want to make sure I have everything in place to shoot it when I get it.
It is a fill probe, just like all of the other Hatsan rifles. It is threaded to 1/8" BSPP. Depending on what compressor you have, you may need a quick disconnect adapter for the end of the fill probe so you can quickly attach it. Like this: Air Venturi Male Quick-Disconnect, 1/8"...
What optics are recommended fur the Flash...
Depends on what you want to spend and what magnification you are comfortable with. I would recommend this: Leapers UTG 3-9x40AO True Hunter...
What fitting do I need on my compressor to plug into this rifle?
Depends on the compressor. Either a 1/8" BSPP female threaded end for the fill probe to attach to, or a female QD fitting if you have a QD adapter on your probe
Does the flash have an on board pressure gauge.
Yes, on the underside of the stock
What grain pellet was used to test the .22 ? Will the clip accommodate large pellets " jsb beast & or ultra shock " ?
Was getting about 30 FPE out of 16 grain pellets. The magazines will accommodate pellets that are up to about .34" long.
How much does the gun weigh?
6 lbs
what grain lead pellet in .25cal are delivering 900fps ?
Hatsan usually rates their guns with lead so most likely a 19.9 grain H&N FTT
Can you get spare cylinders to refill this rifle or do u have carry a pump
No
The cylinder is fixed.
Can a regulator be install in the the Hatsan flash QE .177?
Huma has just started making them...
Hatsan does not currently offer one that will fit
General idea on how many pumps it takes with a hand pump for: A:fill from empty and B: fill to top off point? 3 stage and 4 stage if possible?. Thanks!
Don't know from empty but from 100 bar to 200 bar a very easy 125 pumps with Hill Pump.
Can the power be adjusted on this gun?
You can adjust the hammer spring internally.
There is no external power adjustment on this rifle
Is this a regulated PCP
Huma-air now has one for the flash. 6/14/2018
No
