  • Ruth from USA asked:

What is a good distance to zero the air hawk? Using the sights not a scope. Will use mainly for plinking in the back yard. Also, what's the best pellet to use?

    • Mark from USA:

Start at 10 yards. Solve for right-left first. Then zero at the distance you will shoot the most. Pellet selection is a trial and error process. We can not tell you what will shoot best.

  • Andres from USA asked:

what is a good scope for this Ruger Air Hawk Combo

  • Charles from USA asked:

I have a Black Hawk. Does anyone know where to get a wood stock for this gun, so I can essentially make it an air hawk?

    • Stanley from USA:

You could contact Umarex at 1-479-646-4210 and inquire.

  • Anibal Ignacio from Colombia asked:

Which would be a good scope, not the more expensive one, that will work and last ,in a Ruger Air Hawk.? The one that came with the rifle in the combo , just broke apart 1 month after being used.

    • Paul from USA:

Your going to need a spring rated scope and i think leaper is going to be your best bet.

  • Matthew from USA asked:

Is the Air Hawk's Barrel manufactured by Ruger or is it a standard Umarex?

    • John from USA:

Standard Umarex, the rifle is not made in a factory owned by Ruger.

  • Dick from USA asked:

I purchased an Air Hawk used at a gun show. I can't keep the scope rings tight. Any suggestions. When I took the scope off I could not get the iron sights to zero and hold a decent group. The gun is tight and the sights look like they should be functioning correctly. It barely holds a 2" group at 15 feet. Any ideas?

    • John from USA:

+1 on the one piece mount and a better scope. My Air hawk has a 1 piece utg mount and a Mantis 3-9x40 AO scope and it holds under 1" groups at 30 yards. One of the most accurate Air rifles I own.

    • Stanley from USA:

Dumb question are you using the artillery hold ? If so change out the scope ,this could be the problem , combos come with cheap scopes , also use a one piece scope mount. Then practice your hold and then practice some more , it takes a while to master . I almost sold my Hunter Extreme because of the same thing. Good luck.

  • Stephen from USA asked:

If this is a D34 clone, is the stock an exact fit (looking for a cheap butt pad and to preserve the original)

    • Ray from USA asked:

What type of a barrow bipod should I use this this rifle? Would the UTG Low-Profile Dragon Claw Clamp-on Barrel Bipod work?

      • Paul from USA:

Spring guns don't like to have anything clamped to there barrels, it will affect the harmonic of the rifle.

    • atiba from USA asked:

is dis gun a spiral gun

      • Paul from USA:

I think you're asking is this a rifled Barrel. Yes it is.

    • Dan from USA asked:

How are the fiber optic sights on these Ruger's? Are they useful or useless? When using a scope, does the front sight get in the way and cause a blurred image?

      • John from USA:

I am using a medium one piece UTG mount on mine with a 3-9x40 AO scope and the front sight does not interfere at all

      • Tyler from USA:

The fiber optic sights are no different than most other rifles that use them. Depends on what range you shoot at mostly. The front sight getting in your way will depend on your scope set up.
