what is the sound like at the lowest setting for this?
The Sumatra 2500 is a loud airgun. Like a 22 cal LR going off.
How long is the 11mm dove-tail to mount a scope?
Unknown if the dimensions are the same , but on my full size Sumatra 2500 the dovetail mount is 3 3/4 inches in length . From the photos they pretty much look identical ?
How many shots per fill do you get on LOW power?
Says 18 on medium so 4 mags worth on low power ?
i want valve i not found sumatra carbine 5.5 valve
Is this available in Germany Berlin gun shop????
There is no body here to answer my questions??
Looks like it's been answered
I want to buy this gun !!! So Can I hunt hog with this rifle at .22 ??? And which gr is needed for hog hunting?? Also what about the range????
With prestine shot placement, use the 25 cal at close range with the 43 grain eun jins or the 48 grains from hunters supply
I'd recommend the .25 for hogs. Eun Jin or JSB King heavy pellets. I'd keep my shots under 30-40 yards
Pictures do not show an 11mm dovetail or any other means of mounting a scope. Is the dovetail or rail an extra?
Description states 11mm scope ramp .
How difficult is this to fill with a Benjamin hand pump
Do yourself a favor....get a 88 cu ft 4500 psi tank! Pumping takes forever and wears me out! Bit the bullet and got the tank! You should too!!
I have to say it would not be hard to fill, if you fill it (top it Off) from 2000 PSI to 3000 PSI about 100 pumps or so. It will give you a work out. But it can be done. Just dont expect to target shoot all day and keep pumping it up! I can get about 12 good High power shots before having to refill on my .25 cal.a .22 cal would give you approx double the shots if you dont crank the power all the way up!
The pic shows an adjustable comb/cheek rest Is this a mistake?
Looks like the picture has been updated they no longer come with a adjustable comb/cheek rest .
Can you mount a scope on the carbine. If I can what would be the best scope mounts
Yes you can. Its a personal choice but Hawk, UTG, are both good choices. Use high mounts.
The specs say it weighs 6lb in all calibers which sounds wrong. Does the 25 caliber weigh more and if so, how much does it weigh?
The answer I gave above is an exact weight using a scale.... forgot to mention that. It is very light and easy to maneuver and carry all day.
My Sumatra Carbine .25 with Leapers 3-12X44 AO SWAT Compact Accushot Rifle Scope, EZ-TAP Weighs exactly 8.5 LBS. Without Scope it weighs 7 LBS. This is light compared to other Air Guns.
size of threads for ldc compensator?? thanks.
The one I had was 10 mm by 1.0 mm The one I had was 10 mm by 1.0 mm
IT IS 10mm x 1 Thread 100% Positive
I think this is wrong. I think the Sumatra has 10mm x 1 like the career 707
1/2 inch unf.
I have a Benjamin hand pump. Could I use it to fill the Sumatra? If so, what adapters (if any) would I need?
Yes you can with the Adapter as mentioned, but mine came with the quick connect male fitting already installed, PA told me that the big bores are now shipping with it already installed. But call and make sure before you order.
How well does the windage and elevation adjustment work on the iron sights? Can I expect to have all the adjustment I would need to sight it in at say, 40 yards on medium power?
yes. very much so.
How fast would my carbine shoot 48 gr cast
Airgun depot did a video with the 48's and got 950 fps
My Career 707 rifle fires 51g cast bullets at over 800fps but cast bullets are not as accurate as pellets in Careers or Sumatras.
Some where someone said they get 890fps with the 43.2gr that's 72fpe could dis be true?
yes, it's a very powerful air rifle
What the fpe with a with a 43.2 pellet. Out the sumatra carbine
Could i hunt coyote and hog with 25cal like the 500cc
Yes, the .25 cal set on high power would be suitable for coyote. I'd recommend taking head shots only though.
Coyotes and smaller hogs, yes.
Brand and/or size of appropriate air compressor for Sumatra 2500
Anything meant for filling scuba tanks will work. Not a shop compressor. You are better off with an scba tank than a compressor if you live somewhere where you can get one filled though. You want to be able to fill it when you are out.
I highly suggest that you search the web to see everything that is currently available, that will pump up to 4,500 psi, and then make your decision. Were I you, I would give serious consideration to the Omega Super Charger Air Supply Station, a particularly high quality, attractive, low noise, user friendly, home system, which is probably cheaper than, and certainly no more expensive than, other lower quality systems, and which puts out 22 CF of air per hour, making refill times faster than many other systems. PA doesn't sell this product, but it should!
Where can you buy a moderator for the carbine in .22?
PyramydAir does not sell any moderators not integral to a specific gun. You may want to do an online search or ask on a airgun forum.
