It would be smart if Pyramid would format these products in a similar manner. If you look for Excite then this one does not show up in your search: H&N Smart Shot .177 Cal,.... If you search for Air Venturi, then only this one shows up in the search: Air Venturi, H&N Smart Shot.... It is inconsistant and makes it harder to find what I am looking for. Thanks for a great website in all other regards.
will these work in the ebos or will they jam.
They will work
My experience as well as many of you will know with copper coated bb's you get a cooper dust over time and as a result your mag actions and barrels can get pretty dirty from this and is why i only use zinc plated bb's. Do you know if this will occur with these excites? And if so why not produce a lead bb in a zinc plate?
These have been on the market for 1.5 years now. So far no reports of copper coating flaking off.
i have read that shooting BBs can damage the rifling in airguns that shoot both pellets and BBs. Are these BBs different or is there still a chance of damage?
I have a daisy 880 that i have owned since the 70's and have shot many a BB through and the rifling does look a little smooth . Im guessing yes there would still be a chance ?
MY GUESS IS THAT IT WOULD BE FINE ,,,BRASS IS HARDER THAN COPPER, SO IS STEEL.....THE ISSUE WITH SHOOTING STEEL BB FROM AIRGUNS IS STEEL STEEL CONTACT MESSES UP RIFLING, BUT SINCE THESE ARE SOFTER THEY WILL CUT WHEN THEY TOUCH RIFLING INSTEAD OF WEAR DOWN THE RIFLING. IM NOT SURE THESE WILL FIT WELL IN PELLET RIFLE BARRELS DUE TO THE SIZE, THEY ARE A TINY BIT SMALLER THAN PELLETS AND MAYA ROLL OUT OF BARRELS ON MANY GUNS
Would these work in a marauder magazine? Or a pellet gun in general, like a springer?
they would fall out most likely as these are made to match the standard steel BB diameter which is ever so slightly less than .177
