Things I liked:

This is a really solid and well made gun. It's pretty quiet and easy to cock and accurate. The trigger is very smooth and the cocking action is very smooth. It also has a simple and attractive stock. The recoil is minimal.

Things I would have changed:

I did not care for the operation of the safety. It takes more effort than I would like to take the safety off and it is not terribly smooth. It's also pretty audible when taken off which could alert your target. Once the safety has been taken off, you must recock the gun and it will automatically reset, obviously this is more effort than simply sliding the safety back on.

What others should know:

I think this gun is suitably sized for almost any adult but it is a little on the small end of the range, it works fine for me and I am 6 feet tall. It would be a great choice for smaller shooters.

Things I liked:

I like the light weight, easy of cocking, all steel sights, bright blue finish and fit of metal to metal, metal to wood and accuracy. I always use RWS SuperDomes. In all my Air Guns. I bought mine used recently, and it is my favorite plinker and target shooter. I use a GAMO Big Cat .177 with Chalie's Gold Trigger for garden ground squirrels.

Things I would have changed:

Nothing. Since Beeman and WH are no longer linked for distribution to retailers, WH does not need to lower its quality to keep the same MSRP. No Plastic triggers or sights like RWS. WH , currently, are heritage collectables.

What others should know:

Buy the WH 30. Buy any HW airgun that fits your needs. You will never have to look back.

Things I liked:

Superb accuracy. Very high build quality. The bluing is rich and dark and the stock is very nice. When you crack open the barrel you can tell it is very well made, extremely smooth cocking and lock-up. Very easy to cock. It is also very quiet and does not have the "twang" that spring rifles usually have. You can shoot this all day long. Also all metal construction, the only thing I can find plastic on this gun is the safety button.

Things I would have changed:

The safety is in an odd spot and automatic.

What others should know:

This gun is pricey for a low power springer, but worth it. The Rekord trigger is fantastic. It is the same gun as the Beeman R7 but with a simpler stock and fiber optic sights. You really do get what you pay for, if you are looking for more power look at the HW-50. But for paper punching at 20 meters and under you will not find a more accurate springer than the HW-30/R7. I am very happy with this purchase, this is a gun that seems like it will last a lifetime and more.
