Hatsan Optima 3-12x50 AO Rifle Reviews

Excellent little scope from Hatsan. For my eye it it is generous with the eye relief. On my Hatsan Flashpup i'm able to get just a little bit over 3.5 inches. I get a stable full sight picture quickly and with the 50 mm objective lens it gulps in the light and serves it up very crisp and clear. Focus is good, parallax adjustment is good... for the money and all around spot on little match for the Flashpup.

Generally speaking an airgun doesn't really operate at range long enough to need a 12 magnification scope. For the most part, and this is just imho, i think a 3-9x32 is generally sufficient so I might suggest that Hatsan save the money on the magnification and use it toward just a bit better lenses or coating. However, overall for the price this is a fantastic scope.

if you're putting it on a Kral PB Silent you'll need high rings and I used highs on the Flashpup.

The s is a large heavy scope but it works great

It came free when we purchased the Hatsan Flashpup in .25. We think it works great!

I like its ease of access as far as parallax adjustment when on target it is light and doesn't weigh down the rifle.

Unfortunately the scope is not clear enough for me I'm older 58yrs and have to use the best quality optics I am able to afford I replaced the Hatsan scope with a Hawke brand scope. Hatsan makes a great pcp bull pup which I own however this scope needs fine tuning.

What's not to like. It's a well-built mil dot scope for the price point with clear and bright optics. I purchase this for my Umarex Gauntlet in .25 cal and so far it's proven to be a very nice scope

If you're looking for a reasonably priced scope with clear and bright optics this is your scope it's well-built. I don't think it would hold up to a Springer but it's great on my Umarex Gauntlet in .25 Cal.

I was really surprised with this scope . It came with the rifle and is crystal clear viewing . It has great magnification and perfect match for the flashpup .

I have two of these scopes. They both came in a package deal and are good scopes for the price. The scope itself was a surprise to me, I was expecting a cheap throw away scope or one that would wind up in the back of the closet. But it turns out to be pretty nice for plinking out to 30-40 yards. It lets a lot of light in so it's pretty clear. Don't expect it to be a 200-300 yard scope cause it wasn't made for that. But for shooting targets or pests in your backyard it'll do just fine. The rings that come with it are pretty much trash. Spend the extra $11 and get the UTG Acushot high rings, they were suggested by customer service and they were right. You can't go wrong with this scope as long as you accept it for what it is.

Really needs better rings, the mounts are really junk.

Again, it's a cheaper scope, but for the price it'll get the job done as long as your not trying to shoot sparrows at 100 yards. But it's worth the price, or better yet, free when you get it in a bundle.

a good scope for the money. Includes the forward AO ...Adjustment at the Objective end .... and this is typically found on expensive scopes

Possibly a 4X16 scope for hunting or target practicing out past 40 yards.

The scope mounts should be considered as much as the scope.... because you want your eye to see thru it once your cheek is on the rifle. Man;y pcp rifles require high mounts due to their design.

This scope goes very well with the gun I'm very please.

There's nothing I would change about the scope.

If you don't have one of the hats an air guns you really are missing out on a good thing.

This is a pretty good scope i can see my target out to 100yds where i have it sighted in at. I dont think i would use it on a spring air rifle its made for longer distance.

Single screw clamps for a springer? I am not sure if this is an indightment of PA's 20-for-20 service or the scope hardware but after less than 100 shots the recticle was Turing sideways though the scope did not appear to be rotated. By 200 shots the rings had migrated back to the end of my rifle dovetail(Walther Terrus).

If you want this scope for a springer I would say try different rings. That said I will not be buying Hatsan again nor will I be using the PA 20-for-20 again (I am capable of mis-mounting a scope on my own for free).

I got this scope with the hatsan 200 dominator and i have put about 300 shots though it and the optima scope has stayed on poa with. Little adjustments. I like this scope.

I change the turrets and a more clearer optics.

The scope tends to fog up going from inside to out when it's hot.
