Ruggedly solid, excellent value. These rings, in conjunction with the proper base, has eliminated scope movement on my RWS Model 48 .22 rifle.

What others should know:I purchased an RWS model 48 in .22 caliber over a year ago based on solid reviews for accuracy. The rifle would shoot well for a time and then the point of impact would shift, usually at a critical juncture. I now, realize this was entirely due to operator error and was no fault of the weapon or the scope. I had chosen cheap rings and bases, not understanding that a powerful springer air rifle generates recoil sufficient to shift set ups that work on less powerful models. I contacted the folks at Pyramyd Air for their suggestion and, problem solved. After well over 500 pellets, the scope has maintained its zero.

Very low cost
Things I would have changed:The claws used to grip the dovetail on the base are too thick. The caused the rings to tilt to the side when mounted on my rifle. The claws seem to be made from a casting, perhaps a sheet metal part with a sharp edge would have been a better design choice.
What others should know:These double wide rings are of the type used by "tactical" rifle shooters to grip their scopes more tightly. 3/8 inch dovetails are normally found on rimfire rifles that don't have a recoil problem. For this purpose, you are better off buying the single wide types which allow more room for fore and aft adjustment along the rail.

These scope rings are long in line with the barrel. This makes them steady even when loose enough to slide them along the dovetail. When setting up the scope eye relief or leveling the cross hairs this is a plus. They also have a lining on the rings themselves so that they grip firmly without having to crank them down so tight you risk damaging the scope tube. The anodizing is high quality and compliments a blued barrel.
Things I would have changed:The only thing I can possibly think of changing would be to add a packet of threadlock to prevent any chance of the clamps getting loose. That is how picky you have to be to improve these.

I use Leapers rings for most of my 6 air rifles because the metal quality of the allen screws is superior (not easily stripped) and the aluminum of the rings themselves is also top grade. And they are available with stop pins for use on springers. I use a level for true mounting and these rings measure perfectly for front and rear before I add the scope - and they hold true as I level the scope and tighten the allen screws.

These work well. I think they are least my 3rd set I have used. None have slipped or caused issues.

What others should know:Take your time. Follow the instructions and be careful about over torqueing the mount and crushing the scope. I am sure it is capable of it.

These are the best airgun mounts I have ever used. I now use them exclusively, even on my .22 LR firearms. I love the fact that they even include the tools needed to install them. They also include some extra screws which have come in handy in my case. All in all this is a fantastic product: extremely sturdy and easy to install. I have several on these on my various airguns and .22 rimfires. I highly recommend this product.

I love how steady these rings are. I mounted them on my .22 Benjamin Marauder along with a UTG 3-9X32 1" BugBuster Scope, AO, RGB Mil-dot and they are working perfectly. It took me a few shots to zero in and these ring have kept the scope nice and steady, has not lost zero or shifted in any way.
