Things I liked:

Excellent scope for the price. Acquiring targets with multi-color reticle a breeze. Adjusting the zero with turrets is also a breeze. 5 Stars overall rating. 5 stars on value for money.

Things I would have changed:

Not a thing. Best scope for the price. On time of the reticle would be nice if it was shorter. It stays on for an hour, myself I would like to see 15 minutes of on time. Just to extend battery life longer.

What others should know:

Make sure you get tall or high mount scope rings if you need different from what comes with the scope. The lens cap for the objective lens will not fit if you use low or medium height rings.

Things I liked:

The reticle is useful and easy to acquire and the turret knobs are of decent quality.

Things I would have changed:

Knowing what I know now I'd probably opt for a side focus knob

What others should know:

This scope was nice and worked well until I changed yardage. I ran a small test, 5 shot group at 20 yards on a quarter, adjusted the focal distance and then brought it back to the 20 yard position. The POI shifted a good 2 inches at 20 yards, not theoretically, ACTUAL poi moved. So don't expect to take this scope hunting, or to any sort of field target range. Unless you only shoot at 1 distance and will not ever change that distance, go with something else

replaced the centerpoint scope included with my benjamin mayhem ,22 cal np2 sbd because the wire reticle was too thick and it bothered me. this new leapers is dynamite. now i can see quite clearly. mil dots are great for me.

    Things I would have changed:

    don't need the illumination aspect.

    What others should know:

    Things I liked:

This the fourth one of these I have bought. Good quality, sharp image to the edges of the viewing area of the scope. I especially like the 5 yard focusing distance of the A/O.

    Things I would have changed:

Better instructions on how to get the various colors of the cross hairs.

    Things I liked:

Very nice scope. I shot the spray button nozzle off an aerosol paint can at 20 yards first shot. Very accurate on my Mrod 22 and looks great. This scope and Mrod complement each other making it a real blast to shoot. Love it.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

    What others should know:

If you're thinking about getting this scope get it you won't be disappointed. You can't beat it. A great for the money.

    Things I liked:

Perfect for backyard sniping and plinking. I can hit a wasp at 10 ft and zoom out to 100 yards to take a tree rat in a matter of seconds all from my back deck. Fair eye relief, good glass, and sharp focus.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing. For the money this is an exceptional scope.

    What others should know:

I will buy additional UTG scopes for my growing air gun collection.

  • Rating 4.04.0 4.0

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

Range of adjustability from 3-12 power, parallax adjustable down to 5 yards, which is great for air gun use. Solid construction, feel, lens clarity and exposed turret knobs that don't need to unscrewed to adjust windage and elevation. Surprised more people don't buy this scope vs the Leapers/UTG 3-9.

    Things I would have changed:

Weight, at 21.9 oz, it's a very heavy scope, compared to a Nikon or Leupold EFR air gun rated scopes. Drop the illuminated reticle colors, it's fun to use the first time, but only needs to be black and which should possibly lower the price even more.

    What others should know:

In the right conditions, I noticed an annoying glare through the lens while sighting in my R1. I have Leupold, Burris, Bushnell and Tasco scopes on my centerfire and rimfire guns and have never experienced the glare before at the same location I sight in all of my other guns. It's made in CHINA, not the USA, even though UTG/Leapers is based out of Livonia, Michigan. Feature loaded scope that's difficult to beat, for air gun use.

    Rating 5.05.0 5.0

    Things I liked:

I like the wide range of adjustability (from 3 to 12) and the ability to have parallax adjustment down to 5 yards and up to infinity. Also like the convenience of the exposed turret adjustment knobs for vertical and windage adjustments. The mil-dots have proven helpful for shots that are longer than what I have used to zero the scope. Neat feature.

    Things I would have changed:

I would eliminate the alternate reticle colors. I never use the colors but they don't hurt anything - except maybe costing a bit more. I just leave it on the standard black cross hairs.and have no issue with that. Really don't like those flip us lens covers. Especially since there adjustments on both objective and ocular ends of the scope. I prefer the kind that just slip over the ends and are held on by elastic cords.

    What others should know:

I bought this scope for an RWS 52 Sidelever gun. This is a fairly powerful gun. I had a Hawke scope on this gun and within a couple weeks, the reticles started to rotate around. Now, I have a Hawke scope on another gun and it has been fine for a couple years now. But on this gun, not so much. Anyway, I replaced the Hawke with this UTG and it works great. This is my second one of these. Both have been good.

    Things I liked:

Crisp, clear optics (even feels a little more powerful than 12X). Rugged construction. Easily adjustable AO and magnification (after some time). From previous experience (I have a UTG 4-16X40AO on my Fury II-this scope is mounted on a Gamo Hornet) the True Strength description lives up to its name. Can take the abuse from a springer and hold zero. A quality product at a reasonable price; UTG is my first choice when choosing a scope for my air rifles.

    Things I would have changed:

A good scope that doesn't need any real improvement. However, I admit I don't really use the illuminated reticle and it's just something that uses up a battery and adds (very little) weight. I would be fine without that, although there are some (very rare) instances where it can be handy, so I guess it's nice to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

    What others should know:

UTG scopes are high quality for a great price. My other UTG scope has survived numerous rounds fired from a hard-recoiling springer and is still right on target (I had a Nikko-Stirling scope on the same gun and it didn't last very long-not even 3 months!). If you're looking for a quality product at a reasonable price, UTG is a great choice.

    Things I liked:

Good turrets, clear and overall good quality for the money. I have 3 UTG scopes and all work well. Others who seen and used my UTGs were also impressed.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing at the moment

    What others should know:

Be careful with the mounts you get. I ordered mid-profile dovetail mounts as the mounts that come with the scope would notwork with my Hatsan 95 Vortex. The online person who was very helpful recommended them to me. They work, but due to barrel droop I was shooting low even with the elevation cranked all the way up. Once I shimmed the mounts my Hatsan hits dead center-with the elevation cranked up all the way. I know I can return the mounts, but I'll just order some high mounts.

Nice Turrets, Interesting color scheme for reticle, Nice Mil-Dot Reticle.

    Things I would have changed:

Weight. Very heavy. Include a sunshade.

    What others should know:

Haven't put it through a lengthy torture test but on the surface it appears to be well made and will withstand my RWS 48.

The scope is crystal clear, especially in low light. By far the best scope I have ever bought. It works even better than my 450.00 bushnell.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing about this scope.

    What others should know:

If you have questions about fitting scope to scope rings or any questions, contact pyramyd air directly don't rely on asking questions to the web site. I was told the wrong answer to my question and had ordered the wrong parts based on the the answer from the web product advisors.
