Things I liked:

I'm so glad I bought this pellet gun! It's one of the less expensive to buy for the quality you get, with the right pellets (pellet make all the difference BTY) this pellet gun shoots super acurate and persice, there's very little if any mantenance... I just have so much fun with this thing!

Things I would have changed:

I wish there was a way to attatch a sling so I can walk around and hunt more with it. A bi-pod attatchment would be awsome too but a sling and bi-pod are two things I'm willing to let slide for the deal I got buying this pellet gun.

What others should know:

Make sure you stock pile lots of good pellets because if you have to go ONE DAY without pellets, lol, you'll make sure it NEVER happens again lol... just tryin' to save you some trouble here haha.

Things I liked:

Very accurate at close range, will not get a good group at a distance, which is what I purchased it for. Great looking gun

    Things I liked:

Fit and finish is excellent. Excellent trigger. Cheap to shoot. Nice scope for the price. It was cheaper with the scope than without. Ordered on Monday and received on Thursday. Pretty accurate. Bought for shooting rats. Does the job. Had a problem with the first scope and they sent me a new one. Definitely recommend PA.

    Things I would have changed:

The scope was shimmed and it made a dent in the tube. I ended up putting a droop compensating mount on it to center the adjustments. and a better scope I'll put the scope on another gun.

    What others should know:

It takes time to learn how to shoot a springer and to find out what pellet it likes. As others said, it liked H&N Ftt 5.54 best. Tried ftt 5.53, 5.55, Hades, predator, Jumbo exact, crossman hp, baracuda 15 and 18. May try predator GTO next. Most pellets fit loose.

    Things I liked:

Seems very well made. The blueing is good and wood is great. There is zero plastic. Gun is all metal and wood.

    Things I would have changed:

After owning a R7 I expected greater accuracy. The R9 will take squirrels all day but its far from what I got from the R7. The safety cant be placed on after its turned off.

    What others should know:

I bought this rifle to play in my small back yard. It might a little much. It sends a .22 pellet though a 3/4 piece a plywood at 25yards. The gun is beautiful and feels like a heirloom piece. The scope thats included does not hold zero and is not that great.

    Things I liked:

Weight and feel of a full size center fire rifle. Very accurate with the right pellet. Comes ready to shoot, right out of the box. However, check the scope mounts. Mine worked loose after 100 rounds or so. I re-tightened them and re-zeroed the scope and I can now put three shots on a dime at 27 yrds. Great gun to practice and keep my shooting skills up.

    Things I would have changed:

    Can't think of a thing.

    What others should know:

Good bang for the buck. I thought about getting a PCP rifle, but a $1500 - $2000 financial outlay to get a PCP rifle, scope, compressor and all the other necessities to get started in a pellet gun just didn't seem practical. This one serves my purpose.

    Things I liked:

Almost everything. It's a beautiful rifle. As soon as I picked it up, I knew it was a quality rifle. The scope that it came with is great. It was on paper right out of the box. I only needed a slight adjustment. It came with a 20 for 20 test. I have many other air rifles, and I have changed out the scopes that they came with the first thing. Except for this one and a Beeman R7. Both have the Rekord trigger. The R9 trigger pull was 1 lb 3 oz. No need for me to adjust it.

    Things I would have changed:

My only dislike is with the safety. Once the gun is cocked, and the safety switched off, it cannot be switched back on. The rifle must be fired to make it safe.

    What others should know:

I have not tried the open sights. They look really good. The front sight is hooded and comes with 5 or 6 inserts for the front post. I held off on buying either of the Beemans (R7 & R9) because they are a bit more in price than the Gamo Swarm Magnum Gen 2, the Ruger Impact Max Elite, and the Umarex Synergis that I have. My mistake! I would not own any of those other rifles if I had bought the Beemans first. The Beemans are hands down, far superior. Other than the rear sight there's no plastic. As I said, my only regret is not buying it sooner.

Very accurate . This was my first air rifle purchased and right out of the box I was nailing targets at 25 yards. Started air gunning to cut back on ammunition because of prices and availability. This is a great alternative to going to the range .fun and keeps skills sharp

Scope is better than I expected it to be. Accuracy is spot on out of the box, and lived up to the Beeman reputation. Cocking isn't bad. Overall a beautiful, powerful rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

Seemed a bit heavy, but that is just me. Also agree with others comments about not being able to put back on the safety after it had been switched off.

    What others should know:

Pyramyd Air did a great job on service and support. Also help in recommendations. Will definitely buy from them again.

The scope rings are very tall. I can't shoot accurately without my cheek down on the stock. I took off the scope and stock rear sight and added a Williams aperture sight and I like the setup!

    Things I liked:

Let me start by saying this is my first real air rifle. I read a lot of reviews and settled on this one (.22cal). The trigger is what makes this air rifle great. Right out of the box I found it crisp, smooth, and repeatable. The build quality is superior to the $100-$200 ones at the discount stores. If you want an air rifle that will last and be tack driver accurate without completely breaking the bank, this is one I would highly consider. I am sure the higher priced PCPs will perform better but this one hits the sweet spot between low price/low quality and the hard to justify price/high quality. Within an hour of dialing in/getting used to it, I was shooting 5 shot dime size groups at 25yds and just over quarter size at 50 yds. Again, I think the trigger makes all the difference here. I purchased the 14.3gr JSB Diablos with the gun and it seems to like them. I followed up with a purchase of 4 other weights from other mfgs to see if I can further improve my groups. Pests beware!

    Things I would have changed:

It would be nice to be able to put the gun back on safety after taking it off. The manual does not say it but I have read other places that it can be reset by cocking it again. Not sure if this is ok to do so it would be good if the manual would specify whether or not this is acceptable. Perhaps other more knowledgeable folks can provide some insight? I would not let this one small thing deter you from buying this gun. What is the worst thing you have to do? Shoot the pellet into a safe backstop at a few pennies a pellet? I see other comments about the gun not having options or provisions for a sling for hunting. I could see where that would be nice to have but personally I can deal with it when I know this gun is going to be deadly accurate.

    What others should know:

This is a high quality, modestly priced gun. If you are only looking to buy one air rifle or get your first one to see if you would like to get into air rifles, I do not think you can go wrong here and you will be happy with your purchase for many years. It is easy to get caught up in the hype of more expensive must be better. There is a thing called diminishing returns. I believe this one is at the optimum point between quality and affordability!!

Beautiful quality, everything has already been said about the trigger, sighted in perfectly and definitely an upgrade from my old Crosman/Mendoza RM377!

    What others should know:

Not sure if I would prefer it come without sights and a muzzle brake instead. Shooting without the front sight installed definitely decreases the accuracy. I read a comment somewhere regarding it, found it a little hard to believe, but absolutely verified it.

    Things I liked:

Upon receiving my R-9 opening the box taking it out of the wrapper it was absolutely gorgeous. So I took it out pop some pallets to my amazement it cock so smooth got it surprised me I thought they sent me a gas piston Gun which I really don’t care for I wanted to spring powered rifle. It felt so smooth compared to my Beeman are one my HW 80 but before I was going to return it I took the stock off and to my surprise it was spring powered wow whole different animal. I was so happy I heard they also make them gas powered which I did not want it look like it had a nylon spring guide also with red grease around the spring. I just can’t believe how smooth it is. Very satisfied

    Things I would have changed:

The only thing I would suggest to change is a longer barrel like a 19 incher or at least have a choice the smaller barrel is nice but I think the velocity might be better but maybe not and for reasons. When comparing it to the R1 or the HW 80 which is the same gun the stroke is the same but the diameter of the piston is smaller maybe 28 mm instead of 30 mm I don’t know it’s just smaller. Maybe that’s why the barrel shorter it doesn’t need a longer barrel I don’t know.

    Things I liked:

I just received this a few days ago it is very accurate, and it has one of the best triggers, Diana's triggers are also very nice. Fit and finish is beautiful. You can tell they take pride in their work haven't been out far enough to test past 10 yards but it's going threw the same hole. I've put maybe a couple of hundredrounds or so and it's hitting harder i can tell.

    Things I would have changed:

Price. I wish the manual team with more instructions it may be a brief history but this company

    What others should know:

Be careful of making the trigger pull too light it can get to the point to where you barely touch it. It will go off.

    Things I liked:

liked the scope and rings deal, although i removed it as i like an r9 wearing irons. but for the extra 20, I will find a use for it. I put the fiber optic front sight on it, dot is a bit too big, but a huge difference. 40yd soup cans at very low light now. powerful, accurate. extremely well made as are all German built Beemans. easy to cock, can shoot this all day.

    Things I would have changed:

    nothing

    What others should know:

after 400+ rounds, it is "calming down". shoots/ feels better. less "twangy". great for field target/ tin can ranges. With heavy pellets, could ethically take squirrels at closer ranges. But .22 better if you are going to hunt. got this one to plink.
