Things I liked:

Nice and light easy to shoot of hand, but it takes about 500 shots to get good accuracy and shoots the best with crosman Premier pointed 14.3

Things I would have changed:

Nothing relay except a longer cocking arm

What others should know:

Break in with any junk pellet you have then switch to Premier 14.3 and clean the barrel before you start

Things I liked:

Not a single thing. This gun began hissing as soon as air pressure exceeded 500psi and then it bled down to zero. Pyramyd Air was great to work with for the return. It's no wonder they have to give away a $200 air pump to buy Benjamin guns....they are complete pieces of junk! I should have read more reviews before buying this. EVERYONE who has a Fortitude has had trouble with it leaking, that really says something. Avoid the Fortitude!!!!!

Things I would have changed:

How hard is it to do some actual quality control. There is no possible way this gun went through a 72 hour leak test. Benjamin is just slipping in a piece of paper stating so. I leaked as soon as pressure exceeded 500psi and leaked all the way back down to 0 psi.

What others should know:

Avoid this at all costs. It's a waste of time you won't be able to get back and it will tie up your hard earned money. Total and complete piece of junk, I am done with Crapman/Benajmin products.

A Good Asset to my Marauders

    Things I would have changed:

Some Trigger work, and work on the Barrel Band

    What others should know:

Good Price Point not just for the Entry Level, but also for those wanting to fill that niche of an accurate shooter

    Things I liked:

QUIET. Accurate, consistent, high shot count per fill.

    Things I would have changed:

Secure barrel shroud to air cylinder a bit better. Trigger perhaps, but not a deal breaker at this price.

    What others should know:

Get a few hundred rounds through it dealing with the minor magazine and bolt issues. After use and break in, most resolve themselves. Sample different pellets, all guns have a different preference.

    Things I liked:

Great price on an excellent air rifle!! Was a bit skeptical reading some of the reviews, but I couldn't be more pleased. Accuracy is phenomenal, operation is flawless, holds full pressure air very well. Performs as well as my other PCP's which cost 3 times the price. Light weight is a bonus when carrying it afield. Very pleased!!

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing

    What others should know:

My trigger gauge registered just above 6lbs for a 5 shot average when I started shooting this rifle. After approximately 5 h hundred rounds the 5 shot average is down to 3.4lbs, and I expect further reduction as more pellets go down range.

nothing, poor build quality, have not shot a single pellet

    Things I would have changed:

would discontinue the model, or take the Benajamin brand name out of it

    What others should know:

Come in with a out of specs charging nipple, after charging was leaking badly, going back and will get a Marauder instead As always, when you go cheap...you get cheap

    Things I liked:

Light wieght..very accurate..hitting nickel size groups of 5 at 35yds..which is great for my backyard plinking..mounted a 2.5x10x40 laser/scope combo..cant put it down..VERY QUIET..hitting target louder than muzzle release.

    Things I would have changed:

little movement between barrel and air resevoir..fill that gap with a small bushing..i used a small tie-wrap (small piece of plastic) ..worked perfectly.

    What others should know:

my initial purchase had an air leak. would not fill past 1500psi..returned for a refund and purchased another same model...utilized pyramyd air $10 service on second one..ALL is GREAT...great value for the price......DO yourself a favor..save the headache.USE THE &10/$20 SERVICE PACK..You'll be soooo glad you did!!!!!!

    Things I liked:

This gun is accurate, quiet, and easy to use. While there are notes of a heavy trigger pull and bolt pull-back, I found that they aren't anything to be concerned with. Maybe they are a little harder than the competition? This is the only pellet rifle I currently own, so this is no comparison others on the market. My reason for purchase was pest control (rats), so I would be shooting at night. I found this to be one of the absolute very few that had a 10-round PCP configuration that was also both quiet and with great accuracy. I do not find any fault with the gun and it is a pleasure to use. All the online reviews make it sound like the trigger pull is horrible, but I found it to be perfectly acceptable and it barely felt like I had to pull--kinda makes me wonder why a 1 lb trigger pull would be like--too easy? The bolt pull-back is slightly tough, but not enough to be a detriment to the gun operation--I wouldn't complain about it.

    Things I would have changed:

I'd rather have a threaded air charge cap vs the push-on.

    What others should know:

Coupled with the 4x32 winchester fixed scope, I have nailed a rat every single shot (even dropped the gun on accident and everything held true). I use the JSB 18.13gr domed pellets.

    Things I liked:

Light weight 22. Picked it up for teaching grand kids and modest pest control Easy to place an additional add on suppressor that makes it virtually silent.

    Things I would have changed:

Dust cover for the fill port - make it screw on. The one I have falls off everywhere but the gun rack. Minor engineering change - hammer spring adjustment - have a stop placed at both the high and low ends. Minor engineering change - hammer spring adjustment - use fine threads versus coarse threads Iron sites would be nice

    What others should know:

Will be putting it through the chrono soon. Hopefully, it will come somewhere near the factory mark. If not then I'll be contacting Pyramyd Air about it. 15.89 grain pellets, hammer spring adjustment nearly maxed & pellets seem to go too slow. Will find out soon. 18.1 gr pellet falls short of 40 yard target 25.36 gr only hit 430'/sec which isn't a good choice for this gun

    Things I liked:

The reason I bought this rifle was accuracy and it doesn't it is very accurate.

    Things I would have changed:

I checked revues before buying and they were correct. The trigger is worse than an M1 Garand. Cocking is extremely difficult. It should have a side lever with or without an elbow. The comb on the stock is so low I had to get a comb raiser. I still feel my choice was a good one because if these flaws were fixed and it was not accurate I would return it.

    Things I liked:

This 22 caliber version is light weight, well balanced. Makes it easier to carry and manage in my small game adventures. Very accurate. Being regulated allows me to adjust the power of the shot, and or, how many shots I get per air charge fill. This adds to convenience in a hunting experience. It is Not a Cadillac! But for the average plinker, or small game hunter, I would highly recommend this air rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

Give it an adjustable trigger pull. Other than that - Nothing!

Very light, very quiet, uses the same magazines as my Avenger, excellent accuracy, good power with the ability to tune it down to under 600 FPS for indoor shooting.

Make the barrel a bit shorter

    Things I liked:

I liked almost everything, I liked the look of the rifle, the way it felt on my cheek and shoulder, the mags are available and functioned correctly, and the stock is easy to remove and a very accurate rifle.

    Things I would have changed:

The trigger is not adjustable and needs to be upgraded to an adjustable one, which can be obtained for $35 just for the trigger and springs from Baker airguns. And $142 from Magnum Power. I chose to get the fantastic complete trigger assembly made out of aluminum which includes a trigger, safety, trigger casing, and new springs. Now I have a very good adjustable trigger, and now my Fortitude is all metal with no plastic except the stock.

    What others should know:

Replace the trigger for an adjustable one, and you will have a rifle that is the offspring to the Marauder.

    Things I liked:

I love the looks, the light weight, the potential shot count, the fact that it's regulated, and a repeater. With some mods, the trigger is pretty darn good, and swapping in a Marauder trigger make it outstanding! I like the .177 caliber. The price is great. I have owned more that 10 pcps, and Fortitude could be my favorite.

    Things I would have changed:

Crosman-Benjamin need to figure out how to manufacture this gun so it does not leak. I have purchased 3 of the Gen2s. They all leaked air to some degree or another. I've owned 4 or 5 Marauders; not one of them leaked. I believe the Fortitude has the potential of being an all time favorite air rifle. Velocity Air, please invest the engineering time needed to fix the leaking air tube problem.

    What others should know:

If you buy one, first fill it with air and let it stabilize overnight. The next day check the pressure on the gun gage and record. Leave the gun alone (no shooting) for a week. Check and record the gun gage pressure periodically. Decide if the leak rate is acceptable to you and return if necessary.

    Things I liked:

The air gun was delivered quickly and arrived damage free. I was surprised that it came charged with 3000psi of air so I could shoot it immediately without charging it up. I threw on a scope and had it shooting within an hour. It also came with 2 mags so that was nice. Just a couple of shots and it was hitting the bullseye at 20 yds. It is my first gun with a mag so I immediately order two more. I have other Benjamin PCP's and It seems that Benjamin is an expert at utilizing other platforms and creating a new product. So far I have 150 shots through it and only refilled it once. Looking like 60 plus shots per fill. Still at the factory hammer setting. I haven't yet cleaned the barrel but expect an improvement in accuracy when I do. Over all really am enjoying this gun.

    Things I would have changed:

Seems like both the original mags I got with the gun sometimes fail to rotate the new pellet when cycling the bolt. I don't know if it is a problem or just needs a little more break in. The mags go into the gun very snugly and maybe they are getting pinched causing them not to rotate. I am going to try a drop of Pellet oil on one to see if it makes a difference.

    What others should know:

I wouldn't hesitate to get this gun. It isn't a $1000 gun, but 10 years ago it would have been with all the features it has.

    Things I liked:

    Quiet, unbelievably quiet. Light weight.

    Things I would have changed:

It leaks air too fast (100 psi per day), a deal-breaker for me. The fit and finish is not so great. You may feel resistance when push the bolt forward to load the pellet, sometimes it gets stuck.

    What others should know:

The weight of the gun is not balanced, more weight at the front. But that's fine. Don't be fooled by Crosman's Made in America slogan. It does not guarantee quality...

The combination of disco, mrod, maximus..regulated so shot counts great .super light weight hunter if tuned (easy 3 turns) for $319 its a lot of gun.

    Things I would have changed:

It didn't come with a single shot tray. I thought how odd is that? My shroud has someone's fingerprints on it and a smudg I can't get off.

    What others should know:

Obviously with mrod mags it loves the crossman, Benjamin's dome. Gen 2 has a smoother action than my mrod in 25

    Things I liked:

Nothing. Leaked air faster than I could shoot it. Bad poppet from the factory

    Things I would have changed:

Better QC from Crosman/Benjamin so they don't irritate their customers

    What others should know:

Received this rifle with high hopes as it was a Gen2 and supposedly the bad stuff had been worked out of it. Leaks air at a very fast rate from the breech. Past the seal and underneath the breech. The only reason I know for that much leakage is a bad poppet. It seems that they would have found this before they sent it out and got it to a customers hands. Hence from all the leaky from the factory guns I have gotten from them, and had to fix myself, I am not going to buy another one of their products. My QB 79's fill the bill just as well, but but not as light . My Origin, all three of my Gauntlets and Chief II don't leak at all so that tells me a lot right there.

Having a working gun delivered to me by Benjamin/Crosman company.

    What others should know:

I got the gun today fired 6 shots and the gun was empty. Refilled it again and waited 30 m9inutes and was out of air. Returned for a refund. I will find sothing else that fits this catagory of rifle and buy that. All done with the line of guns this company sells.
