Things I liked:

as soon as my 2240 arrived I cleaned the bore and its the first gun ive bought new that wasn't real dirty inside. first few shots were bad, new gun , new to me. after 2 powerjets ans several pellets, a few sight adjustments I was getting dime size groups at 15 yards, stepped out to 20 and still good. fine gun right out of the package. it hits with power too. need to break the crony out.

Things I would have changed:

mabe the plastic breech and a touch lighter trigger pull but not a deal breaker

What others should know:

its a quality pistol for the money. I got a new gamo pt-80 and it worked for 2 days . I got the 2240 to take its place. the difference was like night and day. id say if your wanting power and accuracy in a low priced pistol, id have to tell you buy a 2240. like always pyramid air was courteous on the phone and delivery time was fast too. I prefer p.a. when I order a gun online p.a. gives me fast service and explains what I ask very well

Things I liked:

Size and weight

Things I would have changed:

metal rear sight, had problem with my windage and piercing CO2 cartridge. Trigger pretty bad.

What others should know:

Never worked correctly, took extraordinary pressure to pierce 1st CO2 cartridge, followed factory directions. Shot randomly at first, sometimes fired, sometimes not. Used up 1st CO2 cartridge sighting in at 25', windage put rear sight way off to one side. Replaced cartridge and could not pierce 2d CO2 cartridge. Turned in screw all the way. Had to take off cap with Vise Grips! CO2 cartridge would not drop out, tried tapping , would not budge, something is seriously wrong. Waiting for a RMA from Pyramid right now. Hope their Customer Service is as good as everyone says.

    Things I liked:

Well this isn't my first, but I missed not having one, so my wife told me this is a Christmas present. (can't have it till then, but used the discount!) Anyways, it came in a proper Crosman box and not those awful blister packs. I got to look it over and snapped a couple of pics, before it was put away.

    Things I would have changed:

Do something better with the front sight! Better QC??

    What others should know:

My gripe is, as others have discovered as well, is that front sight! You certainly cannot shoot it "out of the box"! Crosman should do something about this, where's the QC? At least inspect it before it goes into packageing. Mine will undergo major upgrades, so I won't be returning.

Very accurate right from the dealer easy to load

    Things I would have changed:

hard to puncture the co2 had to use screw driver to make sure it was punctured

    What others should know:

feels very well balanced and the trigger is not hard to pull

    Things I liked:

Pretty good plinker. Would be much better with a decent rear sight.

    Things I would have changed:

Give it a functional rear sight! No windage adjustment and it sits lopsided on the barrel. And for all of the upgrades out there, you still can't buy an upgraded rear sight that just drops in. You must change the breech to install a decent rear sight. Ugh. Hey Crosman: Charge $10 -$20 more and put on a decent rear sight.

    Things I liked:

This pistol in .22 caliber fits my hand perfectly, the weight is also perfectly distributed., I bought this pistol with the steel breech installed already, and I also ordered the Mim sight with this pistol package., This sight is really well built and worth the money. I sighted in the open sights, and put on a dovetail Hawke 1.25 red dot scope on it. Start out sighting it in up close, then work your way out a yard at a time, until you get it sighted in at a distance you like, Right now, I have it sighted in at 11 yards, and it hits a 1 inch target dots dead center. Onece the weather improves, I will finish sighting it in. I'm shooting Crosman 14.3 dome pellets out of it, they work just fine in it. The trigger works fine, just pull it back slowly, and you will do well.

    Things I would have changed:

The pellets were a little bit hard to load at first when sliding the bolt forward, but that was likely due to the metal breech not being milled down enough.(?) but that's no big deal, I just simply use my finger to help load each pellet.

    What others should know:

This pistol in the right hands, can be dressed up any ways you wish to make improvements to it.

Great pistol. I hope they bring back the 2250 which was based on this 2240 pistol.

    Things I would have changed:

    Make it cheaper.

    What others should know:

A lot of after market parts to customize.

    Everything!

    Things I would have changed:

    Not one thing.

    What others should know:

I have bought many 2240s over the years. I love building up these guns. Put on a 24 inch barrel, steel breech, all stainless stainless steel hardware including power adjuster and a boss max valve with the larger valve port. This is in a rifle configuration. Its beautiful and has power. Next build will be my custom 2400 KT. But everything will be brass. I might build up just the pistol next one of these times with a slightly larger barrel then the stock one. Super fun projects. Maybe you might enjoy building on up. Not cheap.

    Look, build, accuracy

    Things I would have changed:

    Breech, number of shots

    What others should know:

I installed the 14 inch barrel and stock. Only counted twenty two shots and out of gas. I would think the valve releases the same amount of gas regardless of barrel length. May convert it to 88 gram bottle.

    Things I liked:

I like this little highly modifiable CO2 pistol. Not just for it's ability to have multiple customising options, but how well the device is made and the fact that you could drive tacks with it right out of the box

    Things I would have changed:

Well I'm not sure if I would change anything. I have an issue with the steel breech but I'm reviewing the 2240.

    What others should know:

This pettet gun is pretty high quality and has many options for making it more "you". I also am impressed with pyramidair.com. I ordered the same co2 pistol from a competitor a week prior to purchasing this one. I still have not received the order from the competitor. Pyramidair is miles ahead of the game. Thus they shall be my go to when it comes to all things airgun related.

    Things I would have changed:

    Nothing.

    What others should know:

Check your Bullseye Bucks! I got a 2240 for $33 with BB. Add a $25 14.5" barrel and I got an amazing bargain for a great pistol. The plastic sight knocked off the stock barrel with a wood drift and pressed on the new barrel with no issues. The sky is the limit for mods, and they can be done a piece or two at a time as budget permits, and if you screw something up parts are plentiful and cheap. If you're looking for a toy, a hobby, or an obsession you can find it with a 2240. Huge fun and highly recommended.

Love my new 2240.Hits whatever you are aiming at really hard, way more fun than a .177 pistol ,sends cans flying 4 or 5 feet into the air lol,and very accurate once you set up the sights.

    Things I liked:

Cheap, accurate, heavy hitting and relatively compact.

    Things I would have changed:

Trigger pull is very gritty and heavy as stock. I tried to remove the grip and side plate to polish the surfaces and all but one of the hexes and screws stripped out using a gunsmith screw driver so until I figure out how to remove them I have resorted to reducing the weight of the trigger spring which helps make the pull not overly terrible.

    What others should know:

I really like this gun but the pot metal screws are a real bummer. No one buys this gun expecting miracles but not being able to get the thing apart is not right.

    Things I liked:

It is hard to beat this gun: it is simple and accurate. I think this gun is a must have in a collection.

    Things I would have changed:

The rear sight is a bit too simple, but luckily it can be upgraded. I put on a steel breach and an iron sight (btw the Crosman steel iron sight is a hard to find item). The grip feels cheap, but the gun handling is phenomenal.

    What others should know:

My gun arrived a little bit crooked from the factory, I am guessing that it is the price for being affordable. I had to unscrew the barrel band to straight it myself.

Seems solid and well built for the price.

    Things I would have changed:

It would be nice if the trigger was lighter but considering it is a $68.00 pistol it is not bad.

    What others should know:

I bought this just for plinking and marksmanship practice. It fits the bill quite nicely. I am impressed with how accurate and repeatable it is.

    Things I liked:

Closest thing to my father''s Crosman 120 from the late 50s. Great feel, shots per cartridge. I was really experimenting as the only other airgun(s) I have used are pump action. The bolt action is nice and crisp with a full uncock, and a partial uncock for loading. Shoots all pellets I have tried well. Good for limited space use, when I feel like going to the range I can spend 15 minutes and satisfy that urge.

    Things I would have changed:

I did not realize until reading here how unusual the Crosman trigger is. There are no issues--this one is just like my 1957 Crosman 120. That's what I learned to shoot with, and anything less than a .25 pellet doesn't feel real to me. I did paint the front ramp site white. I'm considering painting the rear site to contrast as when it is dim, hard to see the front sight. How about option of tritium white sights?

    What others should know:

This might seem to simple for some--I don't need a "replica" as what I have is an updated 120, in my opinion. These grips are very ergonomic, the pistol is metal, and it is so similar to the 120 it is almost like no change. Somewhere in the catalog I read about putting a drop of Pellgun oil on the top of a cartridge before putting in a new one. That seems a good idea. At one point I had to have an expert replace the silicon rings in my 57 120. Otherwise, I would call this pistol a bit more serious than "plinking" with a .177--which I have done, but retired those pieces as they were not satisfactory to use.

    Things I liked:

heavy feeling. mostly metal. comfy in the hands. this is my 2nd pellet gun after owning the 1322 pump version. i wanted something similar to the 1322 as i really like the way the gun performed was very satisfied with the 2240. once dialed in the gun is very accurate and easy to use for someone who is new to pellet pistols like me.

    Things I would have changed:

not a huge fan of the plastic front and rear sights. they work just wished they sold a full metal version of this gun. it seems to go through CO2 faster than advertised but the power it offers does offset this a bit. it can blow holes through wood pickets easily at 15 yards so dont let stray shots happen too often in the backyard.

    What others should know:

i got this pistol to take care of some huge rats that were becoming an issue on the property. the rat issue was quickly solved and was downing the rats instantly using crosman hollow point pellets.
