Things I liked:

My third FX and im pretty sure this one will be the favorite. FX once again sets the bar high for all other airguns ! Glad I was quick to see and hit the order button before they sold out.

Things I would have changed:

Left Hand Option

What others should know:

Cannot believe how consistent the shot strings are.

    Things I liked:

I got lucky when I found a mint FX Maverick in .22 caliber from a friend. It is not finicky, was easy to tune, extremely accurate and very powerful.

    Things I would have changed:

    At this point, nothing.

    What others should know:

I tuned my Maverick in .22 caliber with JSB 25.39g Knockout slugs. 2000psi on rear reg and 2600 psi on front reg. 6 on hammer spring.gave me 944 fps and. 50.3 fpe I put on digital pressure gauges to maximize accuracy in tuning. I do suggest that anyone that buys this has a quality radar chronograph. I have FX Pocket Chronograph. Knowledgeable people that I trust told me that an FX was not for me. "Too many things can go wrong" and too many seals. That might be the case with the FX Impact, but not with the Maverick. I'm sure I could've gotten even 70 fpe, but I don't need that from this 22 caliber air gun. 50 is amazingly enough anyway, given that most 22 caliber PCP rifles or somewhere in the 30 fpe range. Anybody who buys any air gun, especially an FX, should definitely do the 10 for 10 that Pyramyd air offers as well as the 24 hour leak check.. Also remember that Pyramyd air offers 60 days satisfaction guarantee. I don't know that anyone else offers anything even close.

    Things I liked:

I am getting the hang of tuning this rifle,I really like the adjustable dual regulators. The huge air bottle is lightweight and holds a ton of air. The cocking lever is smooth and works flawlessly. I really like everything about the Maverick Sniper.

    Things I would have changed:

The price is definitely hefty,,,if the rifle is trouble free for the foreseeable future then I’ll only complain this one time. The rear pressure guage markings are very hard to get a good reading on. It would be nice if it used a digital rear guage, especially since it’s so tunable and precise readings would be ideal for reference.

    What others should know:

Magazines work great,,,again hefty price tag and not really worth it,,,$15 cheaper would be a better price in my opinion.

    Things I liked:

Pyramydair Is excellent in all areas, I’ll be a lifetime customer. The rifle is throwing 47grain slugs at 825fps, 39gr@995fps, and 26.8gr@1120. Fps are exceptionally consistent across the chronograph. IE: 1fps variation or less. Really quiet except for the sonic crack of the lighter slugs

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing Great gun from a terrific retailer

    What others should know:

800mm barrel might make it even better. Fx is or was having some minor component production quality issues which they said are getting fixed. Fx also provided great support when I needed their help with an issue.

    What others should know:

This is one of my favorite guns to shoot. It's easy to tune and a bad in 700mm barrel. I suggest getting a carbon sleeve, tensioning kit, tuner and slug kit. With all that I just mentioned I'm getting 107 fpe, 977 on PW 6 shooting 50 grain jsb pellets. I can't wait to see the accuracy I'm going to get with those Zan slugs.

    Things I liked:

Ive had my .25 cal Maverick Sniper for a few months now and couldn't be happier with it. I chose FX for the quality and it being a compact 700 mm barrel. Out of the box accuracy is awesome. I have no disappointment in buying this. Lots of info on YouTube for general info and tuning. There tons of things you can do to this like caliber change, different barrel lengths, and some power upgrades for a few examples. Pyramyd Air is a great company to work with and is my go to, shipping was fast and so were the emails with tracking numbers. 10 outta 10

    Things I would have changed:

Kinda salty on the price, but so far no buyers remorse.

    What others should know:

You're buying a really good, quality air rifle so don't skimp on a scope. you don't have to spend 1000 + on a scope, but get the best quality you can swing. You won't be disappointed. Get a tank to make refills easier because you'll be doing it a lot. It's a lot of fun. Make sure your barrel length is what you need. Im not unhappy with the 700 mm barrel but the VP or compact would have done everything I wanted. Long barrel habits die hard I guess.

lightweight, sturdy synthetic stock, finish, huge 580cc carbon fiber bottle and plenum, 700mm smooth twist superior liner makes for very high accuracy.

    Things I would have changed:

to me it is designed perfect. i have no plans to change anything on this gunlar

    What others should know:

the large air plenum can cause a slight delay in rapid shooting. it takes about 2-3 seconds between shots to maintain consistent velocity other than that its extreme spread is a mere 2-4 fps after a whopping 90 shots with jsb .30 cal weighing 44.75 gr. that is outstanding with this gun. you will get the advertised 90 plus shots per fill using jsb 44.75 gr in .30 cal. flying at 880-900 fps

    Things I liked:

The gun looks and feels great! Craftsmanship is top notch.

    Things I would have changed:

For the cost of the maverick sniper .30cal, I shouldn't have to purchase an aftermarket tungsten hammer weight to achieve the 900 + fps required to shoot the 44.5 grain fx hybrid slugs. But what a difference it made . This rifle for the money should most definately have an anti feed mechanism on it. I have ha a double feed issue at least a half dozen times. When this happens you have to take the barrell off and carefully remove slugs. Double feeds are an operator error but it will happen I almost guarantee it.

    What others should know:

I have my first reg set at 185 ton190 hard to tell with the gage and second reg set at 170. I am achieving 980 fps average with the 44.5 grain fx hybrid slugs producing approximately 95 foot pounds of energy. It hits HARD! But it took me quite a while and about 400 slugs to get her tuned up properly. Be patient and learn all the intricacies of this gun because when you finally get her tuned up you will be very impressed . I added the Dony FL moderator and can shoot this from my living room without hearing protection. Varmints be ware!! Dime sized groups at 50 yards and now that I have her tuned up I'll be going out to 100 and will attempt 200 yards after that. Don't shoot the lightweight steel resealable squirrel and rabbit targets with this monster it will dent them to a point that they are inoperable. Go with the heavy steel targets.

    Things I liked:

This maverick is everything I hoped it would be. Craftsmanship is top notch. I purchased an element scope with this air gun and it is a tack driver. Shot at 50 yards with fx hybrid 44.5 grain slugs in 8 mile winds very little wind drift. I still have to tune it a little more to find that sweet spot but so far sub 1" groups at 50 yards with slus and hadies pellets. I only wish I purchased this a year ago. Going out to 100 yards next range session. Sweet trigger, quieter than my .25 hatsan bullboss. Lots of energy.

    Things I would have changed:

Price. It's a lot of money. If it was 500$ less I would have purchased it a year ago. I am so glad I finally did. It's a lot to pull out of the wallet but so far I am VERY impressed. For the money I think a couple Allen wrenches should be thrown into the mix.

    What others should know:

Does not have an anti feed mechanism. You can double feed a pellets or slug. If you do this you'll have to take off the barrel and push slug back into the magazine. However due to the craftsmanship I was able to accomplish this in less than 3 minutes with one Allen wrench (not supplied) with gun.. the pellet initially seated in barrell stayed put and fired without fail into same hole.

    Things I liked:

very poor quality control from fx. 20 shots and fasteners on gun were all loose. not a gun for first time pcp purchasers. way to much fiddling with gun to tune so it shoots good. gauges are inaccurate. if you don't have a set of good gauges and a chronograph don't purchase you will be disapointed. dreamline way more user friendly.

    Things I would have changed:

better quality control from fx, or purchase from dealer that can set up gun for you. more accurate gauges

    What others should know:

could be very frustrating for first time pcp purchaser

    Things I liked:

    The idea of the gun

    Things I would have changed:

The gun is built like a toy. Its just not built very well. Feels cheap in the hands. The mags are terrible and made very cheap. Should be 12 dollars for a mag no where near what they ask. The most expensive thing on this gun is the bottle. The barrels are cheap and flimsy the fact you have to buy a bunch of after market stuff just to stiffen the barrel is wrong it should come stock. The cocking handle is cheaply made so be prepared to have to replace it. Most guys are having custom ones made because the factory ones are that bad. The gun has leak issues around the regulators. And creep

    What others should know:

If your new to airguns dont buy this stay with something built better for the money

Quality construction, ergonomics, this is is hard it's an FX what is there not to like. I have both the Compact and the VP along with this Sniper and I am finding myself really liking the Sniper a little more although the other two have their pluses the Sniper seems to be the way to go for just one rifle. The 20 moa rail on top is a very nice feature also.

    Things I would have changed:

A longer pic rail on bottom for your bipod would be nice.

    What others should know:

this could be a one time purchase for someone who doesnt want a safe full of guns.

    Things I liked:

I waited for this gun for several weeks, not anyone's fault it just was not avaliable. I went on reviews and found out I had to set the two regulators when I got it so I could shoot the heavy .30 caliber pelllets I like to shoot. I reviewed how to do this and thought I had it figured out. So finally I received the gun and before I even shot it I set out to set the two regs. I went by the instructions and opened the second reg so I could read the bar reading on the first. I wanted to increase to `170 bar and the tank was reading 240 so I thought I would be in good shape. As soon as I turned the set screw 1/4 turn it popped the o ring and I lost the screw. Gun is useless! I contacted PA and they said I had to send to FX repair. I was kind of hoping they would just send me another one, but I guess they thought this was operator error, maybe it was but not sure. FX has the gun now and will for probably 3 more weeks before I get it back. Not very satisfied with myself or PA

    What others should know:

The double reg is probably a good feature, and easier than the tuning the Impact (which I have) but I have that one tuned just right for me. BE CAREFUL on setting double regs, that's all I can say I will re-rate this item once the gun gets back to me and after several months get a chance to enjoy shooting it.

    Things I liked:

i like the tremondous shot count. at the factory setting and the power wheel set at 1 i got 425 shots at 780fps. the gun is getting more accurate the more i shoot it. it has 5000 rounds thru it now and is way more accurate now than it was out of the box. it will shoot sub 1/2" groups at 50 yards with the 14.3gr crosman dome pellets. and a small plastic pill bottle at 100 yards is childs play. my airgun range goes 150 yds and i have a frying pan at 150 just for fun. i like to hear it ring... dont try to push the crosman pellets over 900 fps, they wont group very well. im shooting them at 880 fps. im wanting to try the JSB pellets but none are avalible right now. OH, mine is a .22.

    Things I would have changed:

i would like a better cheekpiece, at least adjustable... one thing im not happy about is the scope rail is slightly off, i had 3 scopes on it and i couldnt get enough adjustment out of them to get the gun to zero. FX is suppose to be getting me a new rail some time within the next 2 months. what gripes me is when i called FX the knew instantly what the issue was. if i hadnt all ready waited over 4 months to get this thing i would have sent it back. the girl at P Y didnt know anything about the scope problem, so im disappointed that FX didnt make the dealers aware of the problem. BUT PY did give me the number of FX so i could figure out issue. SO I have shimed the scope using a cut up plastic pop bottle. works good so far. this was a quality control problem at the FX factory. Stuff happens... but i REALLY like the gun now! one more thing READ THE MANUAL!!!!!!! BEFORE SHOOING THE GUN!!!!!!

    What others should know:

i have reset the regs to 130bar and 100 bar and the power setting wheel at #2. this is a very accurate setting for the 14.3 crosmans shooting 880fps. mIne was set at 120 bar and 90 bar.

OUT OF SIGHT, That is the only way I can put it. Quality and finish are some of the highest lve seen. A remarkable gun out of the box and it delivers everything they said it would. Could not be happer although high dollar I feel I got my monies worth.

    Things I would have changed:

Wouldn't change anything on the gun as it is easy enough to adapt. However i think your missing a very important aspect of selling such a high quality versatile and interchangeable airgun. To me there needs to be a very detail and comprehensive manual detailing every aspect of interchangeability and tuning. I know I would purchase more options if I were not afraid of screwing something up on a high dollar airgun.
