Things I liked:

to be honest i love this gun. the power and size of the projectiles give a feeling of security that you can handle most situations normally encountered concerning varmint matters. surprisingly i do like the weight of it while a lot of people find it uncomfortable. mines is unscoped right now so accuracy has not been determined but it does hit an 8x10 target consistently from15 yards away and for me that is pretty good.

Things I would have changed:

of course the break barrel cocking effort has to be mentioned but less cocking effort equals less power so leave it alone. make it into a revolver and increase pellet size to 35 caliber. if made into 35 caliber and revolver format i know cocking effort would be a monster but it sure would be worth it even if it took 2 people to cock it.

What others should know:

well right now i think it is the best break barrel made as far as power and pellet size goes. matter of fact it is the only break barrel in 30 caliber format. since i have been into air rifles for 60 years i cannot get used to the external air supply models . so folks like me will be waiting for revolver over 30 caliber models. oh about me liking the weight of the gun well you may not want to pay attention to that part because i do ride a heavy harley davidson motorcycle so i am just use to heavy things now.

Things I liked:

I never got to shoot the 1st round threw it.

Things I would have changed:

That Hatsan would be able to make an air gun that actually functions.

What others should know:

After opening the box the barrel was shoved threw the 2 inches of Styrofoam and hatsan box. The gun did not work out of the box. Not enough pressure to move the pellet at all. My 1st and last Hatsan

    Things I liked:

The power and the accuracy have been great. I opted for the 20 for 20 service and it was fantastic...with only one hiccup since I started shooting. The recoil from the gun has been pushing the scope mount backward with nearly every shot. I had to loosen and move it forward about and inch or so this morning.

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing that I can think of unless there is a way to keep the scope from moving.

    What others should know:

The cocking effort on this rifle is massive but I was expecting it since it is a gas spring 30 caliber air rifle! I'm not sure of the amount of cocking effort that it is but I would guess about fifty pounds or more. I won't be using it for much plinking but when I need a powerful air rifle for pest control, this is it!!

    Things I would have changed:

I would have paid the $20 and made pyramid air mount my scope that way they would have not sent me a gun that had a off-center scope rail.

    What others should know:

I paid the $10 for the $10 inspection package where pyramid Air said that they would check my gun for defects and flaws. And even though they are well aware that some of these guns have a scope rail that is mounted off center, making a scope useless, I guess they don't consider that a defect because my gun had a bad scope rail. So if you do buy this gun make sure you buy a scope with it and then pay the 20 bucks to have them Mount the scope. That way when they are unable to zero the scope they won't send you a piece of junk like they did me. When I talk to them about it they gave me the usual standard reply. Bottom line this company knowingly sold me a gun that they were well aware of the problem with the scope rail and even though I paid $10 to have a check for defects or flaws, their words not mine, they didn't care enough to look for this issue. I would understand if I had not paid the $10 and they just sent me the gun in the box but I paid to have it looked over.

    Things I liked:

The power. Overall look. Nitro Piston. Accu trigger. Iron sights. Sling swivels.

    Things I would have changed:

I would mount the scope rail on true top dead center. Mine was so far off a scope did not have enough adjustment to zero gun. Lower the drop in comb to allow the eye to line up on iron sights easier.

    What others should know:

Buy a tough scope. This thing eats cheap scopes for breakfast. Buy scope when you buy gun and pay the $20 for 20 test package so you are sure to get a gun that can take a scope. Instead of finding out later like I did. I read reviews and knew others had gotten guns with an off center scope rail. I hoped I'd get lucky. I even got the $10 for 10 package but that didn't include the checking of the offset rail issue. A known manufacturer issue. Drop in comb is too little and so lining your eyes up on the iron sights is not comfortable. This gun is fairly hard to cock but it is manageable however multiple shots will wear your shoulder out quickly. The overall weight size and bulkiness of this gun makes it not suitable for a walk about hunt or a lot of plinking. I bought it to hunt coyotes at close range and it is very suitable for that with its power. Beyond 30 yards this gun drops off very quickly and so truly I consider it a 30-yard gun. Although 50 yard shots with practice would be ok.

The stock and barrel finish was fine. No blemishes. Powerful. Adjustable buttplate. Sling swivels.

    Things I would have changed:

Increase the drop in the comb to help line up on the open sights better.

    What others should know:

Pay the $10 to have it fired and inspected. Let the techs make sure it's not a dud for you. Buy a sling. It's big and heavy. Buy a scope, the sights are not easy to see or line up on.

    Things I liked:

It is exactly as advertised: a big, heavy monster. Hard hitting, but with moderate recoil compared to how it was described (in my opinion). Takes an optic easily with the dual rail, sights in easily. As far as a critter-gitter, Ive yet to take game but I have no doubt that the power will be sufficient.

    Things I would have changed:

Safety feels cheap, the plastic is a little disappointingly flimsy. Im nervous my thumbs will snap it off if I dont consciously move it gently, but Im a mason by trade so my hands are a little stronger than most. The trigger can be adjusted but only so far, its a reasonable pull but I havent the equipment to really measure he exact pull weight. Last iffy point is the dedicated sights, they feel a bit cheap but it performs fine. I added a red dot axeon but thats just preference, the irons do their job.

    What others should know:

It shoots well with 44gr JSB diablos and polymath .44s, the 55 gr have a noticeable drop to an already rainbow trajectory but make no mistake, this thing has range. If youre patient you can smack a pop can way past 50 yards. Its a beast to cock for sure, and it comes filthy with dark grease but this is exactly what youre told: a big bore break barrel, heavy and solid as the THWACK it delivers down range with a 7.62mm pellet at 35+ FPE.

    Things I liked:

This gun. Love it, so far. I'm only about 50 shots in, but it's not dieseling anymore, and groups about 3/4" at 20 yards, with occasional flyers (probably my fault). Sights seem to be dead on. Powerful! A buddy of mine actually knocked a hole through a piece of a cast iron woodstove we were using as a target.

    Things I would have changed:

Better sights. I prefer peep sights over any other sighting system, especially on relatively short ranged guns.

    What others should know:

I bought a williams diopter sight in case the rear sight broke. I've read a couple of reviews mentioning broken rear sights. To mount it properly, I will have to fine or grind off a section of the narrower rail on top of the wider scope rail. Not too difficult. I'll shoot it as is and keep the williams sight as a backup. One thing that I learned from a friend that's not in the owners manual is that gas piston airguns should be stored vertically, barrel down to prevent oil from dripping down onto the seals and eventually causing them to fail.

The size of the pellets!! Accuracy. Power. Feels like I'm holding an elephant gun. Love it!!

    Things I would have changed:

Make the cocking effort easier. I'm sure their is an engineer somewhere that can do this. Lol. Other than that, nothing.

    What others should know:

Not for beginners or youngsters. Pellets this size are not as easily available like the .177 and the .22 caliber.

    Things I liked:

This rifle is very powerful! I am impressed. I read every review that was offered on this rifle before I purchased it. The biggest complaint was how much force it took to cock it. Im 6 Feet tall, weighing at 225 pounds. After putting about a 100 rounds through it, the cocking effort has smoothed out tremendously. But we must consider the power it has, the 50+ pounds to cock it should be expected! I own the Hatsan 25 cal, the Crosman 22 cal, and this 30 cal out shoots them both. I love the FPE it puts out. Very accurate up to 50 yards. Have not tried a farther distance yet. Will keep you updated on that. Love everything about this rifle!

    Things I would have changed:

    NOT A THING!

    What others should know:

Buy it and have fun. That is exactly what I have done!

    Things I liked:

Hits hard. Had a nuisance deer eating my garden. Sighted in scope for 40 yards. Shot the deer through the upper shoulder through spine at 40 yards with predator polymag. Dropped her on the spot. Pellet punched a clean hole right through spine. This thing is no joke. NOT A TOY!!! Not something you buy for your youngster to play with.

    Things I would have changed:

Rear sight is junk. Didnt use it more than 3 times and the worm gear for wind age quit working so its useless. Fiber optic sight fell out after 10 shots. Cant get hatsan to respond and pyramid air didnt have a solution. Pretty sad when something falls apart that fast and you are just stuck with it.

    What others should know:

This rifle is heavy. It takes a lot of force to cock. Rear sight work gear is junk and hasnt worked since I got it. Front fiber optic tube fell out after a few shots. You wont get any help from pyramid air or hatsan in replacing sights. Ive used JBS match Diablo 44.75 and they dont hold a group very well at all. Predator polymag 45.75 is what this gun seems to like to eat the best. I get really nice groups at 50 yards with those. This is not a toy gun. It dropped a deer at 40 yards with a spine shot. Ive killed beavers and raccoons and a coyote with it also This gun could kill someone so you need to be mindful of what and where you are shooting this thing so keep that in mind. Not a kids gun.

Its a real bear to cock and you wont spend all day shooting it Im using a hatsan red dot on it but the way this thing jerks it may not last long if you do order one make sure you get the pellets at the same time since the 30 caliber pellets and hard to come by

    Things I would have changed:

nothing as I see , not meant for weaker people takes a bit to cock and load but the end product is well worth it. also quite beefy so will be a little heavy to tote all day.

    What others should know:

not really, they know what they want in a air rifle so pyramydair can produce.
