Things I liked:

Received the .22 cal version a couple of weeks ago and haven't put more than 20 shots through it. Pretty accurate right out of the box. With the shooting I do, I don't think I'll need a scope, but that might be fun. We'll see. Can't give it a thorough testing, just a couple of shots at a time at one sitting because of complaining neighbors, and I respect that. (No one in any part of the shooting community needs to be making enemies right now). I have had a couple of nuisance rabbits that didn't take the hint to stay away and one made a pretty good stew. Next on my list are the squirrels that keep eating my avocados. Clean shooting with plenty sufficient knock out power, even at 5 or 6 pumps. Surprising quality. Fun gun. Not all that difficult to pump, but I might put some thin padding under the pump handle to quiet down the clack that comes with pumping.

Things I would have changed:

Don't know that I would change it, but, that barrel stuck out there unsupported seems a little strange. Hope I don't ever drop it.

What others should know:

I was a little hesitant buying a Chinese gun, but I'm really pleased with what I see so far.

Things I liked:

Out of the box the first thing I noticed was the wood stock. Its a gorgeous looking pellet gun and everything about it feels like quality. I was surprised how accurate it was out of the box. It shoots nice and doesn't have the double recoil like springers/gas pistons. Much easier to shoot and shoot consistently. The trigger feels great straight out of the box. The only plastic pieces on it are the trigger guard, muzzle break and rear site.

Things I would have changed:

One major negative I had about this multi-pump is how difficult it is to pump. I'm a 32 year old male with average strength and I could barely pump it 3 times. I shot around 100 shots a day the first 3 days and I can honestly admit that my arms and shoulders were really sore after pumping it that many times. In theory, you think it will be a "good workout" but in reality it's a pain in the rear. This ended up being the issue that doomed the Dragonfly. After only 4 days, the Dragonfly started to get more difficult to pump. The pump arm also became hard to get pulled open. After a full examination, I discovered that the entire metal pump arm had bent and twisted slightly due to how difficult it is to pump. It wasn't just one piece, multiple components of the pump arm bent. When the arm was closed, it would catch on the housing making it very difficult to open which you need to do to pump. Also, I think there should be a front barrel band or something..

What others should know:

Great looking pellet gun. I really hope that I had a one off issue that nobody else encounters. In my opinion I think this issue would happen again even with a new one so I opted to return for a refund. I was very excited for the Dragonfly and really hoped it would be a high quality adult version of a 880. Unfortunately, my plastic 880 would kick its ass except the Dragonfly had a higher fps. I really hoped this pellet gun would be amazing but it only looks amazing. The pump system is so difficult that it makes it very unpleasant to use. If the pump system was easier to use, this would be amazing. Again, I hope the issue I encountered was one-off.

    Things I liked:

Very nice wood stock, all metal parts and very good accuracy. Power level is quite a bit above a Crossman 2100.

    Things I would have changed:

The stain on the pump forearm doesn't quite match the stain on the rest of the stock (a couple shades lighter). The bluing on the barrel and pump tube is a bit blotchy, but this is the pellet gun Ruger would make if they made one.

    What others should know:

A Tasco 4X32 scope fits very nice on this airgun and there is room for the rotary magazine with this scope.

    Things I liked:

The action is very tight and clean. Like many have said this will remind you of a Benjamin or Sheridan with a better trigger. Very accurate although you do have to make sure the rear sight leaf is vertical when you finish making an adjustment. The fit and finish is outstanding throughout. Some have said this is loud but I dont think so. I have no complaints.

    Things I would have changed:

I am going to add a barrel band on the front when I can find one available. It does not seem to affect accuracy, my concern is using it in the field where it may get handled rough.

    What others should know:

Due to pumping effort required this one is not for kids or adults with limited upper body strength.

    Things I liked:

Well made , O-ring flat top piston ,adjustable headspace, very good power, not little kid toy . The power was impressive. Although wood is a poor medium for checking penetration, four pumps will go through 3/4" pine at 10 meters. My gun is a .22 and I used Crosman premiers. Accuracy was excellent as well, on par with several vintage MSP that I own. Crosman should look hard at this one. Easy to dis-assemble , grooved reciever, and comes with service parts.

    Things I would have changed:

Really nothing . I found that it was not any harder to pump than my Sheridan or Benji MSP's.It did need a little break in, and lubrication at first.

    What others should know:

I did adjust the headspace on the gun , but it was more to see what was inside than because it was way off.

    Things I liked:

    nice looking solid feeling gun.

    Things I would have changed:

The barrel would wiggle/flex side to side about a quarter inch easily. The barrel band didn't even clamp onto the barrel as the hole in it was too large. I checked screws and found that most of the screws in this gun were loose, or barely tight. I cleaned the bore, which was very dirty, and test fired it. The trigger pull was long and hard. Accuracy with several match grade pellets was disappointing and inconsistent. I removed the barrel and checked the barrel band bore, finding it .004 larger than the barrel with the screw tightened. I already knew it would need additional barrel bands so I went into my shop and fabricated 2 additional aluminum barrel bands and installed one against front sight and one against pump cylinder. It now shoots .5" at 50 feet consistently. I have a Hawke Airmax 3-12 scope on it.

    What others should know:

The original barrel band will not fit in any other location beside the factory location unless you cut a clearance slot into the bottom wide enough to clear the pumping arm as some people are doing. I machined my own barrel bands and made them slightly heavier thickness than the original. I also machined the rear of the plastic front sight away for about half an inch to allow my custom front barrel band to be positioned as far out as possible on the cylinder tube. I also replaced the trigger spring with a lighter spring which helped a bunch. I am now pretty happy with this air gun.

    Things I liked:

Quality, accuracy, price. Was stunned how well it shot out of the box. I got the last re-furb in .177. Added a modified Diana Stormrider barrel band to stabilize barrel. It also cut down the noise (slap) while pumping. Didnt run into barrel issues. Possibly because it is a re-ferb. Can not wait to get outside instead of the shooting in the basement(Michigan).

    Things I would have changed:

A little fiddly loading .177s. Seems like it snags a little, but sure does not affect accuracy.

    What others should know:

Seems like some of the reviews I saw, people thought this was a $600 gun. I think this is the best steel and wood pumper for the money. I even like the trigger. Cannot wait for a re-furb in .22 to become available. Got this with the last coupon offer and saved $20 as well. Thanks Pyramyd.

    Things I liked:

Well made and accurate. Handy weight feels very solid.

    Things I would have changed:

Needs some way to quieten the horribly LOUD clap n clack of pump handle during pumping. Also the report is extremely loud and in no way is it backyard friendly. It does NOT come with a moderator, or and way to mount one without destroying the front sight. Too bad .

    What others should know:

The barrel comes filthy from the factory. it takes SEVERAL patches and a plastic wire brush to get past layers of black gook and RUST to get the barrel clean enough to show evidence that the barrel is actually rifled.

[Hanz]: Hello, this is Hanz! [Franz]: And Franz! [Both]: And were here to Pump _ You _ UP! [Hanz]: We're working out with the Seneca Dragonfly Pump .22 air rifle. [F]: Ya, this is a great work out rifle for all you girly men out thea. [H]: And all you girly women too. [F]: And you manly women too. [H]: Ya, but manly women have PCPs and pump them up in one breath, like we do. [F]: Ha, Ha! Ya, we do. [H]: Hear us now and believe us later. [F]: The rifle comes glistening with oil, like it is ready for competition. [H]: How does it shoot? [F]: I use the magazine because after all this pumping I fumble the little pellets. So I load 7 pellets into the magazine before the workout and shoot every 3-7 pumps. [H]: And do you hit anything? [F]: Nah, I flex my biceps when I squeeze the trigger and that throws my shots off. [H]: Ya, and I shoot from the waist. But on a rest I can hit 6 of 7 within 2 centimeters at 20 meters.

    Things I would have changed:

[F]: Is the gun breaking in? [H]: Ya, or I am getting stronger! It pumps easier and shoots better now. [F]: Do you have to maintain the gun? [H]: Ya, I patch clean the barrel every 20-30 shots and have tightened the stock screws. I have detailed files on this weapon. [F]: This is a heavy rifle, like it is made of hyperalloy. [H]: But it is just steel, right? [F]: Ya, they pour the molten steel to make it. [H]: This is a Chinese rifle, ya? [F]: Ya, but it has good Kung Fu, I think it is an Iron Fist style. [H]: Oh, you're thinking of your new movie? [F]: Ya. I read the script, my page has all my favorite lines. [H]: What pellets are no good in this gun? [F]: Well, I only tried the lead free pellets, since as Governator I passed the lead-free bill to save the Condor. [H]: Oh, those are big birds! Huge! One tried to eat me but I ate it instead. [F]: The Gamo pellets, Luxor Cu, PBA and Platinum PBA, are all too big and shoot poorly in this gun. They are like me in a t-shirt!

    What others should know:

[H]: What pellets work best in this gun? [F]: The H&N Baracuda Green, Predator GTO, H&N Field Target Trophy Green, and Sig Sauer Crux Ballistic Alloy all fit and and shoot well. But I have not shot the lead pellets yet. [F]: What is a dragonfly, anyway? [H]: It is an insect, like a mosquito, but much larger. Like us compared to girly men. [H]: Actually, a dragonfly is a predator, like our favorite movie. [F]: Ya, there is good shooting in that movie. Good name for a rifle. [H]: Ya. [H]: To work out I can grab the handle in one hand and the stock in the other and compress my pecs across my chest. [F]: Or I can hold the stock against my huge chest and pull the handle in to work my biceps. [H]: Look, here as I put the front sight against my massive thigh and the stock in my hand, and with the other hand on the handle I do triceps press. Then of course switch sides. [F]: Ya, it is important to have symmetry when sculpting the muscles.

Nothing. They hit a home run with this one!

Great backyard rifle. Love the variable power. Out of the box this shoots hard. Handles very nice. Feels like a .22 rimfire in hand.

    Things I would have changed:

Not much. For my uses its a keeper.

    What others should know:

Can't believe there isn't more talk about this rifle. Pumping does limit your shooting sessions. I gave 4 stars for accuracy, but suspect it will be a 5 after. more pellets down range and a good teardown and clean. I've waited a long time for another multi pump option on the market. This one is pretty cool! Might have to buy two....

    Things I liked:

Well I am biased about airguns but this is a capital idea.... wood stock, pump up design (poor man's pcp), and indexing magazine.... how can you lose. I never thought I would see a new contender for the old Benjamin crown, but here it is. 177 or 22, you choose but you cannot lose.... 177 will be flatter shooting but the 22 can generate 12.6 FPE. And as a bonus, variable power. So you can plink, pest, and even (within limits) hunt small game... a refreshing offering in the brave new world we find ourselves in of "PCP's"... Oh, and I just have to say again... WOOD STOCK...

    Things I would have changed:

Nothing is perfect, right.... at least that"s the saying. I can state the usual; it could use more power (sorry, I think it is mandatory or something in reviews), but really the only issue is the scope rail. It's a little short, not much to play with. And if I am being nit-picky, it needs taller mounts than I like to use.... but these are very small issues considering the value contained here. Sure I would like to see a rifle like this hit 750 FPS in 22 caliber but will I really??? Overall this is a great gun...

    What others should know:

Not really, other than this belongs in everyone's collection...

    Things I liked:

A multi pump you want to keep. The wood and metal components really bring this gun together. it's got a great look too, very classic. love it for that. the magazine is very nice to have, magnetically holds in place, trigger is good. Need to shoot it more to really get a feel for accuracy, don't think i've found it's pellet yet. My son can get one pump into it, which is actually just fine for 10 yard plinking (i usually do two pumps), its a bit of struggle for him, but he can do it (he's 5). Definitely is a multi pump that your kids (10+) will enjoy and you will too. And after years go by and they find it in the attic they will be all over it again.

    Things I would have changed:

I have a williams peep hole sight for a dove tail, you slide it on, and the rails of the Dragonfly were too big, works fine for scope mounts, but not anything that slides on (had to use a wood block and hammer to get the stock rear sight off, it is just friction mounted on). Safety was wicked stiff, easy to change, one bolt to drop the trigger guard and safety, back the grub screw out as far as it will go, if thats not enough remove the spring and crush it a little, much smoother now. Don't like that you have to cock the gun to pump it (i understand why it needs to be, but i still don't like it). You can cock it back and not cycle the bolt forward, so a pellet isn't loaded while you pump for added safety.

    What others should know:

I bought this looking for a first gun for my son (he is only 5 so he'll have to grow into anything i get him). Two things i over looked: multi pumps are finger pinchers and the cocking is very stiff at the last 1/4 inch and makes it hard for him to cycle. I made my own mods to fix these: A piece of pipe fabricated to slide over the barrel and butt up to the rear sight and epoxied onto the air chamber gives my son a place to hold without squeezing the barrel (and me, when i go past 3 pumps. I'm a capable fellow for strength, and after 3 pumps you want a better place to hold than the hand grip for leverage). For cocking i drilled a hole in the portion of the bolt that always stick out the rear and threaded a t-handle into it, my son can grab that and pull it easily, i even find myself using it alot. i will be posting photos of these mods on AirgunNation soon

    Things I liked:

Price, accuracy and quality. For the money, its a bargain!

    Things I would have changed:

There's no detent on the bolt. The only thing that keeps it tight is when there is a pellet seated in the breach. For a pump that requires 40-50Lb of force, I'd have beefed up the linkage with a stamped swale to give the steel a little more rigidity. The rear sight could be better. The barrel breach needs some smoothing so that the pellets don't catch and jam. Even round nose pellets get stuck if you don't slap the bolt closed quickly. I've pushed 3 or 4 back out with a cleaning rod and there was a half moon cut into the nose of the pellet where the sharp breach caught it.

    What others should know:

It shoots as good as I do with open sights. That's all I really wanted! It's powerful and accurate enough for me to do what I have to around the farm. After 500 rounds, I'll strip it down for a thorough cleaning and I'll fix that feeding issue. Other than my few small gripes, it's a GREAT little gun!
