Light weight, good ergonomics, simple manual of arms.

Make the sliding cover more sturdy and add a pic rail to it.

I encourage everyone to give it a try. If you like crossbows you will love it. If you like airguns you will love it.

More power than I expected, Accurate less than 2" groups at 35 yards with double 12 gram CO2 cartridges, 2 -12 gram cartridges are enough for zeroing or get 6 good shots for hunting. It has an easy trigger pull although long pull. I accidently shot through a 1"x2" pressure treated furring strip at 25 yards with a 90 gram cartridge in the Javelin. great value

stock rear and front sight

I bought a UTG Red Dot sight and made it very accurate easy to get on target. the 90 gram cartridges shoot arrows a lot harder and faster than the 12 gram ones so you need to re zero your sight. Its a little loud. I prefer 12 gram cartridges for raccoons and squirrels.

I've had mine several months now, It is fantastic, aside from some initial reservations due to it being mostly plastic, I quickly found out that plastic doesn't mean cheap, and these seem to be firearm grade plastics. I'm glad I ordered extra arrows, I've ruined two, as at 25 yards this weapon is accurate enough to do "Robin Hood's" (shooting an arrow up the previous arrow's shaft) The blood bug broadheads are wicked, and 75 grain bodkins work as well. IK would not hesitate to use this on game as large as deer, at reasonable distances I gave it 5 stars for accuracy, only because that was the most I could give it , I would actually rate it 6 stars if that were possible. This thing has some tactical value as well. And tri bladed bodkins9 cut on contact

As I have purchased multiple Umarex products in the past year I have noticed that they use a broad range of polymers (plastics) when manufacturing their air rifles. For their Glock licensed products, they use a really high quality polymer similar to those used by the manufacturer. For their SteelStorm, they use one of their lower quality polymers. Luckily, for the AirJavelin, they chose one of their better one's. It's not as hard, brittle or glossy as their cheaper plastics, while retaining a similar look and feel (albeit in gray) of their Glock polymers. I know this may sound petty, but as a designer, how something feels, the level of manufacturing tolerances (how the parts fit together), are important when conveying quality and durability to the end user. That being said, the Umarex AirJavelin is a blast to use. An Umarex AirJavelin Pro, with an all metal lower and upgradable accessories would be fantastic.

Definitely use on a "soft" target. Since the bolts are proprietary, replacement isn't as easy as replacing standard crossbow bolts or compound bow arrows.

Wow, what a fun addition to my odd collection. Easy to use, Co2 lasts pretty good. Adjustable for length of pull and for left or right hand shooters.

I would like to have an option to use 12g Co2 for when you just want to shoot a few shots.

The 88g Co2 bottles are nice, but the cost can add up fast. Keep in mind, this is not a BB gun and will need a significant back stop. Find some thing like a straw bale to aim at, it will save most of your arrows / bolts also.

Great value, accurate, well made, and easy to use. I shot it about 30 times on a 90 gram CO2. It was accurate and very powerful.

The trigger is not very good. It does not have a clean break to it. The overall construction is hard plastic wish it had some rubber on the grip and forearm.

Overall great value and a nice shooter.

This jem is light weight, thus easy to handle. The Co2 cartrige is easy to install. The Patridge open sights are a standard in the industry of shooting (move the rear sight in the direction you want the projectile to go (the impact on the target)). The Peep-sight should make this [rifle] easier to shoot accurately. Accuracy is SO good, [I] must shoot individual targets per shot or risk "Robin-Hooding" 90% of the time at 10 yards.

The trigger pull weight at break is about 20+ pounds (on mine; I don't have a scale). ..more shots per cartridge would equal less noise. With the 12 gram cartridges, you hear the sound of the projectile impact over the sound of the gun (12 gram cartridges wouldn't even get the arrow away from the gun). I realize the loss of projectile velocity -- bummer. I'll try a dot-optic when the weather warms up, more favorable, to co2 use, and for those not in tune with open sights.

If you think this will be inexpensive to shoot, think AGAIN. The price of the Co2 cartridge / (divided by) 27 (approx # of shots per cartridge is the formula I'd use) -- you do the math. If you reload, a LARGE center fire rifle might be cheaper to shoot. There would be noise complaints if I shot this at my favorite [local] indoor Archery range. Normally you don't expect to need hearing protection at an archery range. It's as loud as my Umarex Saber (it's not EVEN close to back-yard friendly!!)

its easy to use its fun its got a lot of power every one of my friends that has shot it is buying one for themselves unarex should be paying me cause I'm selling these guns for them at least half a dozen of my friends have either ordered one or are in the process of ordering one they are amazing and for 167 dollars you can't beat it

maybe make the arrows a little better dont get me wrong I have buried these arrows past the fetching in my target multiple times and they are still in good condition i just don't k ow how well they will hold up after shooting into a boar but ill let you know soon

very light and comfortable to shoot. trigger is quick, they did a great job quality wise.

change out the stock to real AR type stock. grip also. but not a bad deal and what it comes with is fine. good shooter for 30-40 yards

get some extra bolts, they hit hard and go right through my arrow target. can be easily damaged if they hit a rock or something hard

I own a LOT of cool things But the Air Javelin is Truly spectacular. This is so much fun to shoot,high quality&a Nasty piece of work.congrats Umerex for yet Another fine product.

I haven't tried the gun yet, but I do like it and I really came here to share what I found that's a perfect fitting case for it. Seams have lots of spread on mine.

Mine shot so low I could not use the open sights and had to use a scope and use a very large hold over. I was shooting in a 78 degree basement so temp wasn't a factor on co2. Bought the co2 adapter for 2 12g instead of the 88g (90g fit also). The adapter loses all co2 just as it bottoms out when screwing it into the gun. Got in touch with Umarex and they said that this adapter works with the Javelin. Well, not "this" javelin. Have not heard back as to solutions or return.
