Winchesters Maximum Velocity lead free 8.18 grain .22 caliber pellet. There is nothing that I do not like about this pellet. It exceeded my expectations, accuracy, and velocity of other light weight PBA pellets. $18.99 for 250 is not the worst.
Things I would have changed:Up the count to 300, or lower it to 15.99 to make it more attractive.
What others should know:I shot/tested this pellet on my three .22 caliber breakbarrel rifles, the Ruger Air Magnum, Umarex Octane, and Benjamin Summit NP2. I chronographed 5 shots with each. The Ruger Air Magnum shot: 1136, 1138, 1128, 1139, and 1134, averaging 1135 fps. The Umarex Octane shot: 1057, 1054, 1049, 1045, and 1059, averaging 1053 fpsThe Benjamin Summit NP2 shot: 1044, 1049, 1045, 1049, and 1053, averaging 1048 fps. The Umarex Octane did shoot a 6th Pellet at 1070 fps, but I did not factor that in. In accuracy, from 80 foot distance, the Umarex Octane did group 5 shots iinside a 2 inch circle, 1 shot hit the bullseye. From 80 foot distance, the Benjamin Summit NP2 also put 5 shots inside a 2 inch circle, with no hits on the bullseye. The Ruger Air Magnum put 5 shots inside a 3 inch with no bullseye. The temperature was 81 degrees with sunny and clean skies, starting a 4:00 pm. I am satisfied with this first round of tests. I would buy again, and do recommend this pellet. Woodys World.

Of the lead free pellets, these are the most accurate for my Seneca Dragonfly and Diana Chaser, equal to Predator GTOs: 5 shots make one big hole at 10 yards. I find the .177 version also very accurate out of a Daisy multi-pump (5 shots rip one hole at 10 yd), and Browning Mag 800 (1 inch at 10yd). 25 yards give me about an inch group, as good as I can shoot. The price is relatively good for lead-free pellets. They are softer than some lead free alloys and deform more like lead.
Things I would have changed:Pyramyd, please tag them "lead free" so they come up in a Narrow Your Search. Winchester, how about making them in .25? Not everyone wants a heavy, far reaching pellet in that caliber; a 15 grain, fast, flat-flying pellet that stays within 100 yards would have some advantages.
What others should know:I wonder if that spacey ring around the pellet dome helps with accuracy? While these may not have the range of a heavier pellet, that might be a good thing if you don't want them to fly over the fence (or through the fence). They seem on the small end of the size scale and fit in the breech easier than some (like Gamo pellets).
