Magpul ELG M-LOK Stock Black Fits Marlin 1895/1894 improves comfort, control, and carry efficiency for Marlin lever-action rifles. Installs without gunsmithing using simple tools. LOP adjusts 12.5"-14.0" in 0.5" increments with included spacers; comb height adjustable via included cheek riser, shims, and hardware. Weather-proof latching storage compartment under the cheekpiece includes removable six-round ammo quivers for .45-70 and .30-30 cartridges. Left/right M-LOK slots for accessories. Looks amazing, fits great. Very pleased
Easy installation of stock, though the forend was a touch trickier. Reamed out the .30-30 ammo quiver (cheap Amazon 7/16" reamer to appropriate depth) to securely hold 10mm Auto. I prefer this to the factory stock and forend, but it also preserves the factory furniture. Only change I would make is adding some provision for a sling at the base of the stock as the QD mount interferes with the lever.

I LOVE this stock!! Like all other Magpul products, I wish it came with sling attachment points on the sides instead of just the option to install them. I would gladly pay extra to be sure the correct parts came on it. Otherwise, no complaints!

The stock itself is good overall, but I really don’t understand why Magpul chose such a hard butt pad. On a Marlin .45-70, after only about 10 rounds, you really start to feel it. The pad is so firm that it feels more like a brick than a recoil pad. In my opinion, this defeats the purpose of having a butt pad in the first place. It provides very little cushioning and does almost nothing to reduce the impact on your shoulder. The stock is good, but the butt pad definitely needs to be softer, especially for hard-recoiling calibers like the .45-70. That's only good for a ligh caliber like.223 Rem...nothing bigger.
