I bought the Sol-Pak and it worked great for about 6 months before it quit. It was in full sun the whole time. I made a solar charger from a 12-volt solar panel, 12-volt rechargeable battery, and a plastic ammo can. It worked for several years. I thought the Sol-Pak would too, but I was wrong. It didn't last long enough to offset the AA battery cost.

I purchased two of these packs after being a skeptic and I love them.. I just ordered 10 more! My batteries never go dead and I don't have to worry about anything besides pesky racoons climbing the tree and messing with my setup.
