Hi love how compact stand is and summit quality. I had one of the original climbers. Don’t like the backpack that come standard. . while you have an upgrade for 70 dollars. Not good and I don’t like the feet plastic climber assist…
I have an original open shot with the hanging seat and I absolutely love it. My son just started deer hunting with me and now is old enough for a climber so I thought why not get him the latest version of the open shot...... he hasn't come hunting with me much at all since his first use. I asked him if the stand was OK for him and he says it's fine..... so finally after a month of no hunting from my son, I use his stand to see........ what a piece of junk. I now feel awful for pushing this on him. It is so small, uncomfortable and literally hurts your forearms to climb...... If you're an average size person, DO NOT BUY THIS..... you are to big for it !!

I shot my very first deer with a bow on the first day I used this climber. It was also my first time ever using a self-climber, and I couldn’t be happier with it. Once you get past that initial worry of, “Is this really going to hold me up?”, you realize how solid and reliable it feels in the tree. Setup is quick and simple—it wraps around a tree with no hassle. At around 15 lbs, it’s incredibly lightweight, making it perfect for long hikes into the woods. Overall, I’m extremely glad I bought this climber and would definitely recommend it to others.
Stand is light weight. Easy to use. Awesome archery climber! Seat is absolutely the most uncomfortable I've ever sat in! For this price Summit needs to fix this! Id rather carry my viper just for the comfort difference.

Getting back into bow hunting. It’s light, easy to carry, and most importantly, feels stable in the tree for a 61 yr old guy. Summit’s are solid
Summit makes some outstanding products and the OpenShot is no exception. I think they've done a great job in packaging an ultra light, and comfortable stand, into a low price point. I'd highly recommend, especially for the archery hunter.
Sits like a lock on , pad is comfortable. Not hard to climb with as some would think. Lightweight Easy to pack in and out of woods.
