Bought it a couple of days ago and love carrying it...very good convo starter and strong blade as well
Just bought this knife a few days ago from WalMart, I liked it because of the SOG brand and quality I've come to expect. I own a couple other SOG knives and 'hawks and believe they are well made and will last for a long time. I have used my SOG tools out in the wilderness and have yet to be disappointed. I have never really been a fan of the kerambit style of blades and I chose the SOG Gambit to be my first due to my past experience and satisfaction with the other SOGs in my collection such as the SOG Kukri, and a couple of fasthawks. I was impressed with the molded nylon sheath and the level of retention it has. Out of the box it was a little stiff, but after drawing it from the sheath several times it loosens up a little bit and now the draw is smooth and fluid. I carried it on my belt several days In a row and then used a length of 550 paracord to fashion a lanyard for concealed neck carry. I feel a little safer when I am carrying the Gambit I know that it will be there and be ready when I need it. Whenever I carry any of my SOG tools I'm not out looking for trouble, but I'll be ready if trouble comes looking for me.
The last knife you'll ever need..Awesome design..love the multi faceted uses

After purchasing this knife I was so pleased with its performance I bought a second. Great knife for daily use for opening boxes, cutting cord, or self defense. Highly recommend.
