I bought my SOG Pentagon OTF a few months ago and have been extremely pleased with its heft, quality of materials, edge retention and ease of operation. The blackout version was out of stock at the time (no longer true) so I got the FDE. Even when the blade gets knocked off the track (not often at all) it's super easy to snap it right in place. I am so happy with this knife and use it often.

The knife comes in a display box with the blade deployed. It looks great, but mine was rolling around loose in the box. The first time I retracted the blade it derailed. I reset it and tried again several times with a 50% misfire rate. After a minute or so it worked perfectly, and I haven't had a problem since. The blade is sharp. I love the FDE color and the handle size. The blade is longer and wider than an Ultratech, and heavier, too. So, if weight is an issue for you, you may not like it. The lockup is as advertised, and the blade has no detectable play - very nice! There's milling on the handle that gives the knife a good grip. The price for the materials and size seems right. If you're looking for a large OTF, with solid lockup at an affordable price this is a good choice. If yours derails at first, give it a chance. There seems to be a break-in period.
