Page 5 of 8 - SOG Seal Strike - Black Reviews

bought this and as i have owned SOG's before i know this one should be great!!! It was and I am very pleased with it and would recommend this knife to anyone!!!

I was blown away at how fast it took to receive my knives, AND both knives had engravings on them and I didn't choose any form of expedited, just regular shipping and it was less expected. I WILL DEFINITELY SHOP SOG.COM AGAIN SOON.

I bought the Strike with the Deluxe sheath a couple of weeks ago. The knife I like, the sheath is okay. I would like the belt clip to be able to hold while drawing the knife.

This SEAL Strike has been thoroughly vetted for urban/suburban and any other field duty whether in town, woods, or aridlands. It opens mail and packages, preps firewood, digs and fills cat holes/trenches, slices, dices, punctures, and loves a good stropping from time to time. It's been sat on for hours yet stays set. The deluxe sheath has been holding up, and proved useful on day one when we were out of matches or lighters, and was pressed into service to light a gas stove. We are almost inseparable... only my Micron II goes solo ocassionally. There is only minor wear, mostly from being carried in the sheath. I like it.

Great product and addition to my go bag. Light weight, strong and best of all good looking product.

Purchased as a Christmas gift for my son. He loves it! I own a few different SOG's and love the feel and quality of these fine knifes. Now my son will also.

I bought this for my wife and she loves it. Likes the sheath deaign using blade edge for cutting small lines etc. knife gets after all her work. Thanks

I bought this knife and it has exceeded my expectations by far. Holds a great edge.

I bought this knife several months ago, would buy it again.

I was a little sceptical when I first bought this knife, as I usually prefer a straight edged blade over a partial serrated blade, but my worries diminished the moment I unpackaged this phenomenal knife! The serration was immensely useful as an extra tool for cutting and sawing, making this knife useful even for survival purposes, and the razor sharp straight portion of the blade is perfect for everyday tasks. The unique drop point design is great for stabbing and piercing anything, even sheet metal! Aside from the spectacular performance of the blade itself, the handle offers just the right amount of grip so it won't slip out of your hand even when wet, but not too much to the point where it is too abrasive to comfortably hold. Moving on the the sheath, the firesteel makes yet another useful survival aspect of the knife,as does the pull through sharpener. The reason for the four star review though, is the belt clip design. While useful for quickly putting the knife on your belt and taking it off, it also comes off when trying to unsheath the blade, partially because of the friction clip. Don't get me wrong, I love friction clips on knives and they're great for if you strap the knife and sheath to a vest or pack (which I do) but the friction clip makes it difficult to quickly difficult, as it will pull the whole knife and sheath off your belt if that is where you keep it. But aside from this small error in design, this is one of, if not the greatest knife I have ever owned.
