great knife. small enough to get through most TSA checkpoints. try to recline your seat into my lap now!
I've been a long time user of SOG products, and in general love them, but i have had issues with this knife. This knife has been extremely difficult to open. Its a two hand process, even after adjusting the thumb stud to a more appropriate position. Other than that issue, I love the look of it, black on black. It holds an edge well on daily use, and has retained its color quite well. The grip is comfortable in my hand, and fits well. The lock is secure, and has very little blade wiggle when open. However, the difficulty in opening this knife has me looking for a replacement.

Never get dressed with out it. Perfect size for any side pocket.
Small but efficient. I purchased this for my brother as a gift. It’s a good looking knife. He is a collector and I am sure he will love the product especially since it’s a USA brand
The Salute Mini has a great grip texture, awesome blade profile, and I appreciate that it has the same type of thumb lock I grew up with. I had recently carried the Sideswipe Mini for years and was looking for another one, only to find they are no longer available, so I went with, what I thought, was the replacement. It's like the Sideswipe Mini in size but doesn't have the features I loved about the Sideswipe Mini like the locking features and the fact the Sideswipe Mini had the assisted blade retraction. Those were features I came to count on from my Sideswipe Mini and miss in this knife. However, I guess the Salute Mini is a stand-alone from the Sideswipe, otherwise it would be called the Sideswipe, right?
I had misplaced my older Salute-Mini. I ordered a new one and found the old one while waiting for the new one to arrive. I am using the old one for a back up if needed. I have had the first knife for 7 or 8 years and like how well made this knife is put together.
The knife is great! Firstly, the packaging was good and light which made for a nice presentation. It came sharp and ready. The only downside was it was hard to open with the thumb stud at first, but nothing a little oil can't fix to loosen it up. I've used it at work already and for a few things at home and it's held up nicely. It's doing what it's made for so far, and I can't complain!!!
Absolutely love this knife. Super well built. Highly recommend to anybody looking.
Its not as sharp as a "new out of the box" knife should be. Doesn't even pass the arm hair test. Slightly difficult to open with one hand but im sure it will get better with time. Looks great, lightweight and easy to conceal in jeans.
Nice knife. Well worth the money Would recommend this knife to a friend

I purchased this a s a replacement for the Mini Vulcan I used for many, many years hoping it would fill the bill. The workmanship is similar but unfortunately the lock release is on the back handle which makes it impossible to use one handed. So, it is not very useful to me with this configuration. If you come up with a similar design which, like the Vulcan, has a one handed operation I would lover to see it.
