ive had this SOG-TAC AU 8" black and its still the same as the day I got it ,,I use it every day and blade show minimal wear the edge is top shelf ,it functions same as day 1 ,I love it today I thought I lost it looked everywhere except the dirty clothes, I kept saying no no no I cant find it then I found it and thought Man you really like that knife,, 82nd Airborne 2/504th
Opens way slower then my 20 yr old SOG Rescue. Ambidextrous opening isn’t. Need to pull both sides to open. No spring adjust option. And lever to open too small and disappointed for 1st time in being an avid customer over 20 yrs. Lame

This is a superb automatic knife..EXCEPT.. rather than being a push-button to open/close, you slide the safety. I have some arthritis and neuropathy making this very difficult for me to deploy. I will keep it, the opening method is my only complaint, otherwise typical SOG superb quality
One of the screws was backed out halfway. Sluggish opening
I love the mat. It is very useful as I have other knifes like to place on it along with the one I bought here.
It came sharp .the opening mechanism does not work very well. I am going to send it back.
Could be heavier, quick action. Like the style and how easy to open.
Great EDC knife! Nice thin handle. Blade deploys very well, but not so good that it opens in your pocket. The only draw back for me is the size of the clip. The clip is too short for my liking, other than that it's a great knife.
