I've had this knife for more than 15 years. It has completed multiple underways and 3 deployments on two different ships with enough nautical miles to circle the globe 7times over. This knife still serves me to this day. 100% worth it!
Bought it a few years ago from a tactical shop in Switzerland. Came with kydex sheath, and I also have a molle style nylon one as well. It made it home with me to Canada, where I typically take a few knives into the back country. The Nighthawk is my go-to belt knife as bear encounters are common for me. This thing was meant for beck up use only and never had a task tougher than scoring a raw smokie. I mounted the kydex sheath to the interior of the frame of my mountain bike where one of the water bottle brackets might be, again, because I ride solo a lot through bear country. At the end of a long ride, I make camp, only to find I have left my Nighthawk behind. I go to pull the pup from the sheath, and the darn tip has broken of, just from riding around on gravel roads on a bike. The bike hasn't been dropped or crashed... It's a cross country fire road bike. No rust on the blade, kept oiled and cleaned, barely ever used, and for nothing but the lightest tasks. I took it off and have had it sitting clean and pristine in a drawer ever since. It's not like I'm going to fly back to Switzerland to return it. Never seen a knife crumble from a bike ride before, but can't think to carry it or trust it in the field after this. Just a flat-out disappointing lemon.

Very well balanced, nimble, mid-sized tactical knife. I hike with this on the outside of my backpack or on the shoulder/chest of my tactical vest. It complements a larger ESEE-CM6. Visually, it appears small out of the box, but I found the handle efficiently ample and very ergonomic. The blade performs big and feels proportionately balanced with the handle. Can't yet speak to performance in extreme conditions or durability, but it seems destined to excel in both areas. Comes very sharp and ready to use. Sheath is top notch and very stealthy looking. Overall, a terrific mid-size knife.
This knife has long been on my wish list. Great knife, seemingly indestructible.

Great blade, I use it every day. strong, corrosion resistant and holds an edge.
I have upwards of 20 or more SOG knives. Some collector, some used, some used hard. I never have had one that didn't perform how it should. I own dozen of knives and SOG is my favorite brand. This one is no exception. Razor sharp out of the box. I would definitely recommend.
