I bought 1 of these as soon as I saw them available. I use it for throwing frequently. It is balanced perfectly. The blade doesn't need sharpening... Although I do sharpen it from time to time to keep that nice razor's edge on it because.. well you never know what you might actually need it for. Whether it be a cutting tool for camping... A tool to breach a door or a window... Or even for self-defense. I would give this more than five stars if it were an option. I've put my SOG tactical tomahawk through the paces many many times and it never misses a beat. I highly recommend this to anybody from beginner to professional in whatever aspect of life you might need a tomahawk for. I am very impressed as always...
I love it. What more can I say. Its everything a hawk should be.
Ok so I'm from the Detroit area. I don't like guns, they're to loud. I sleep soundly with a felling axe by my bad. The Tactical Tomahawk light weight and size have made it my new go to security tool when the growl of my cats wakes me. And its tons of fun for target practice.
I purchased this to replace a wooden-handled throwing tomahawk that was falling apart. Although the handle on the Tactical Tomahawk is shorter than I was used to, I quickly adapted. The head retains its edge nicely, and the handle is very secure. Excellent tomahawk, and very well-made!
I wrapped my handle with paracord, and I flipped the sheath over, so I can drop the handle through, and then the snaps are on top. Much more secure.
This is my first time throwing a tomahawk so I have hit a few other things besides the target lol - it did not even chip the blade! Awesome balance - overall a fantastic tool!
It's strong and sturdy. Leave it in my Jeep for camping.
Purchased 2 have not been more happy with them, well balanced
I already had a tomahawk but when they showed up as a holiday special I bought another. Just a good thing to have around. And it’s SOG!
